Guest Reviews
- Dipika (10/5): Extremely good choice - Extremely beautiful clean & simple instructions were left with not too much expectation! The property is stunning and light , the heating is available and there is a gorgeous roll top bath ! Two bathrooms that are both beautiful Nothing at all to not like
- Alexandra (10/5): Great location wished stay was longer. - It was the first time I didn’t feel disappointed, It was was a great location as Newark can be difficult and hit
and miss Upton is a beautiful location the property is beautiful it was a visit hope to re do once my first grandchild is born and lovely place to stay. Nothing it was perfect.
- Laura (10/5): Lovely little house for a chilled night in with friends - It was the perfect place for a chilled girls night with my friends in a lovely quiet village. The house was very clean and everything we needed was there for us! The sofa bed is not the comfiest but it was good for just the one night.

- fayness (9/5): - Nice quiet area for the races Not much in the villageand not much else around but it was fine for what we needed
- Janine (9/5): A lovely, well-equipped house in a nice rural setting - The house is set in the countryside in Upton and has clearly been very well looked after. It’s beautifully renovated, modern but still very homely.
The kitchen and living spaces are well laid out, with everything you need for a relaxed stay. There’s plenty of room to cook, eat and spend time together, and the large driveway was also a big plus. The only downsides are mostly worth noting for light sleepers. If there’s traffic on the road outside, it can be quite noticeable at night, so earplugs are a good idea if you’re sensitive to noise. The internal doors are also quite noisy, which can be disruptive if people are moving around while others are asleep.

- Timothy (9/5): Very comfortable property would recommend to my friends - Very clean with everything that was needed, spacious and bright. Key box sited too low for ease of use.
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional - Cold fridge, hot water for showers. Key lock box hard to access; fortunately, only had to access it twice (when we arrived and when we departed).
- Jane (10/5): wasn't a long enough stay - NA
- Abi (10/5): Beautiful house in a lovely area! - Magnolia Barn is a beautiful house in a lovely area! The house is pristine and perfectly clean, it has everything you could need and the complimentary teas and coffees was a lovely touch. I stayed at the house with friends after traveling over to attend a wedding near by and would love to come back one day and stay again!
- Elizabeth (9/5): Beautiful house - Beautiful house; feels and smells brand new. Very comfortable bed - best night's sleep I've had in a while. Great location for visiting Nottingham Trent University's Brackenhurst campus. Easy 25 mins into the city. Amazing bathrooms and showers. Spotlessly clean. Great communication from the host. Although the fresh coffee was a nice touch, personally I prefer a cafetiere to make my coffee rather than having to work out a filter machine with my addled brain first thing in the morning!
- Tracey (10/5): Excellent stay and Steve was very helpful. - It was immaculate and not far from Kelham Hall for the wedding we were attending. Can’t fault it.
- Huma (10/5): Excellent Accommodation! - A wonderful well presented property, very comfortable and clean, looks newly renovated to a high standard. Beds are super comfortable lots of thoughtful touches throughout and good communication from the owner too.
We stayed for two nights to attend a wedding at the nearby Kelham Renaissance venue which is a few minutes drive away.
Thanks to the owners for a wonderful stay.
- Julie (9/5): Only stayed for one night so not in the property very long however everything was clean and the prop - Spotless, spacious bathrooms No tea towel

- Nicola (10/5): Fantastic Accommodation - We stayed to attend a wedding at Kelham Renaissance and this location was perfect. Steve's communication was brilliant, the accommodation is newly renovated to a very high standard. The owners have thought of everything, I would highly recommend booking. The beds were super comfortable and probably one of the cleanest places I've ever stayed! N/A
- Martha (9/5): Superb - Great location, lovely little cottage, very clean.
- Kirsty (8/5): Lovely place, ideal location, minor areas for improvements - Super clean, obviously recently renovated. Host was responsive and helpful. Few flaws… kitchen space could be made better use of. Few “snagging” details need finishing in kitchen. Fridge small and shallow.
Toilet doesn’t feel very secure.
Step from living area into hall a bit of a hazard and stairs a bit too shiny!!
- Miah (10/5): Exceptional -
