Guest Reviews
- Caridad (9/5): It was excellent but we had to buy some toilet and kitchen paper -
- Antony (9/5): Great place to stay for a few days. Perfect location. Stow is a good base to explore Cotswolds. - The cottage was tucked away in a very safe location. Only a very short walk into town, yet very peaceful and quiet.
A nice place to stay and would stay there again if returning to Stow-On-Wold. Recommended. I would recommend some blackout blinds in the bedroom I used as it was very light in the morning. The shower-head in my en-suite bathroom was floppy and would not stay in the required position. Quickly remedied with a tied hanky!
Small issues really.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Excellent and good value ! - Welcoming and homely. Very central but tucked away with gated private parking. Had most things we needed as we like to cook at home. We had lovely weather so the garden and outside chairs were a bonus. It was all
Fine
- Siobhan (10/5): Fantastic - So close to the centre of stow and parking Nothing
- Karen (10/5): Great weekend break in a comfortable cottage, centrally located, surrounded by beautiful countryside. - Comfortable, well equipped cottage in a central location within the beautiful town of Stow on the Wold. On site parking in a gated driveway a bonus.
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Quaint little cottage in the heart of the Cotswolds, walking distance to everything in stow on the wold, and just a few miles drive to most places of interest. Nothing
- Averil (9/5): Superb -
- Keith (9/5): IDEAL LOCATION, WARM AND CLEAN, TWO PARKING SPACES - Everything about the property was great (except for one matter - see below). The location was central, safe and quiet, but wthin easy walking distance of shops, sights, bars and restaurants, with easy access out of Stow to other Cotswold towns and villages; the fact there were two car parking spaces on-site was a real bonus as we were staying there with daughter and son-in-law with two cars between us. The cottage was warm, clean and comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped, and the provision of some basic items such as tea and coffee, as well as a gift of chocolate biscuits for Christmas, were really welcome. The Christmas decorations and tree were also a thoughtful touch. I would recommend this property on all these counts. The one downside was the sliding door into the Master Bedroom ensuite. It is a sliding door. It does really need looking at. Being somewhat elderly, we find that we have to visit the loo several times during the night. It is impossible to close and then re-open (especially) that door without making a huge racket as it does not slide easily on its lower runner. Inevitably, we then awoke our sleeping partner in trying to shuffle the door closed.
- Sally (9/5): We had a great time in the cottage and wouldnt hesitate to book again. - Location was perfect and it was great to have your own secure parking space. Nice quiet location but so close to the centre of the town. A bigger TV in the lounge. The showers didnt have great water pressure.
- Stuart (9/5): Superb - Excellent location. Very comfortable cottage. Would come again. Reading light
- Ruth (9/5): Lovely stay - Excellent location, right in the centre but still quiet & peaceful.
Parking at the property a real bonus.
Property well equipped with everything we needed. Shower over bath in main bathroom didn't run very effectively. Had to use ensuite in my friend's room.
- Jess (10/5): Gem of a cosy cottage in the perfect location, would definitely return - Perfect location, right in the middle of the town but tucked away so nice and quiet. Secure parking. Facilities were fab, lovely little welcome package. Two bathrooms and a downstairs loo so everyone has access to facilities. Has everything you need! Back door lock was a bit sticky and there were a few cobwebs hanging around but nothing major
- Sue (10/5): Loved being away with family and able to walk to all Stow has to offer. - Excellent location and bonus to have parking Slightly tired bathroom and decor
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional - Location was fantasic - right in the middle of the village. 30 Seconds walk to the Pub!!!
Convenient parking. Host left plenty of welcoming goodies and practicalities such as tea, coffee, biscuits, ice and much more - meaning that we didn't have to drop everything immediatly and find a shop. A much more thoughtful reception then we are normally used to.... well done!
- Erica (10/5): Perfect spot to enjoy the Cotswolds - Clean tidy comfortable Nothing
- Sam (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (8/5): Perfect location. Warm cosy cottage with all amenities. - Fabulous location , lovely cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It was a bit tricky to find as the Kings Arms Lane isn’t signposted. Once found it is a perfect central spot.
On suite bathroom door doesn’t close fully. TV very small but we didn’t watch it much so was ok.
- Jill (10/5): Exceptional -
