• Annie (10/5): A perfect stop over on the zNC 500 - Bedroom was spacious and lovely and warm. The kitchen was a great surprise, again a big, yet cosy and warm space. Well appointed, with a large dining area and comfy seating area. The location is central, Wickers World Cafe is a great place for breakfast. Robert’s communications were great, and he patiently dealt with queries.

• PierisIC (7/5): - A nondescript building located close to the centre of Wick. It was a completely contactless operation though we had detailed messages about our stay which were useful. Parking is free, on the street, right under your window. The hotel next door has a very good restaurant, a bit expensive, but the food was good. There was no body soap for the shower nor there was any tea or coffee provided. There was a good kitchen where you could have your breakfast. The vanity could have been a bit bigger to at least keep your hand soap.

Enjoyed a two night stay. - We found our room very comfortable and spacious - much larger than it appears on the website photos. The kitchen was perfect for our needs and had everything from a dishwasher to an air fryer. We didn't use them but they were there! It's location is also very good with plenty of on-street parking immediately outside the property. A minor niggle in that the bathroom sink was very tiny and as the taps were slightly stiff, it was difficult to avoid splashing water where it shouldn't go! Perhaps a sign warning to go easy on the taps might be an idea. Shower was great though.

Kitchen was very good, well equipped items, including air fryer Three floors up on narrow steep stairs would make it a challenge for some, especially if they have bigger luggage. Front door look was challenging but the owner was prompt when we contacted him for help.

Unico difetto, eravamo al 2 piano e non è presente l'ascensore, e ho dovuto salire 2 valigie da 20 kg ciascuno. Il problema è che le scale sono un po strette.

Mauvais isolement phonique qui nécessite que les voisins du dessus ou dessous (en fonction de la chambre que vous aurez) soient discrets ! Équipement en vaisselle un peu léger.
• Y (6/5): Not really a guest house. Didn't see owners and things you would expect were not all there. - Location was good. Kitchen would be useful for a longer stay. Parking is on street and not on site. Steep stairs to room and kitchen is on ground floor. Room smelt musty. No communication on how to access property in advance and we only got this when we rang up when at the property. No bath mat, shower gel or milk for tea. The floor boards were awful, we could hear every movement from upstairs.

• Ingo-Sebastian (7/5): Gute Lage - Gut gelegene Unterkunft in Wick, kostenloses Parken am Haus möglich. Frühstück kann man sich in der großen und gut ausgestatteten Gemeinschaftsküche selber machen. Ansonsten gibt es Möglichkeiten im Ort, z. B. Wickers World am Hafen (7 Min zu Fuß). Die beiden Zimmer liegen übereinander. Es gibt quasi keine Trittschalldämmung. Während unseres Aufenthaltes waren sehr bewegungsfreudige Gäste über uns. Wir wurden in der Nacht durch die Schritte mehrfach geweckt! Geht gar nicht!!!

Paper thin walls and creaky everything, which led to waking up in the middle of the night due to the talking of the person staying in the room above. The wash basin was also very small and awkward to use.

No tea or coffee facilities in room….not an option for older people to negotiate two flights of very steep steps to go down to kitchen for a cuppa….and had to supply own tea and coffee….not mentioned in blurb. Plenty of space in room to set up a kettle, coffee and teabags. No seating in room other than bed. Again, a big enough room for a couple of chairs. Ran out of toilet paper…not a full roll left in first place TV didn’t work…broken coaxial cable. Had to leave note re the toilet paper and TV in case cleaner came as no way to contact Robert.

The stairs to the top floor were a bit difficult to navigate with my big luggage but I appreciated the common living space in the living room/kitchen so I was able to get the luggage sorted there and leave the big case in my car.

• Milda (1/5): Not recommended!! - I should have read all bad comments before choosing this property!! They reflect a lot. Please, take your time to read them for your own good! The only good things about this accommodation is its location. However, it hides some things, thus keep on reading the negative points! On the day of our arrival, the host informed us about a broken shower tray. We were asked to have a shower not standing on the broken piece which was temporarily fixed with a strip of scotch tape! As if the shower cabin was enormous! I asked the owner to give us another room but that was not possible. To sum up negative experiences in addition to the one above-mentioned are: 1. No blackouts, thus very light in the room in the early morning. 2. Two big towels and one small towel for two persons provided. 3. Extremely small bed (mattress measuring 180x150 cm). 4. Narrow staircase to the 1st and 2nd floors where rooms are located, no lift. 5. Squeaky wooden floor and stairs. 6. No TV in the room. 7. Heating did not work in the evening, it switched on only in the morning when it was very cold in the apartment. 8. No blankets provided. 9. Bed linen was strongly perfumed, it was impossible to sleep on it. 10. Inflexible property owner who did not agree to return the money for one night, even though we did not stay there due to these obstacles, plus, a sleepless night.

• Maggie (9/5): Wick - One night stay - A sudden change of plan meant this was a last minute booking. The room was lovely, very clean and the bed was extremely comfy! Only a couple of minutes walk away from restaurants made it an ideal location. Although we were not self catering, there was a shared kitchen/ lounge area downstairs which was clean, modern and comfortable. There was aTV in the shared kitchen area. however, I would have much preferred a TV in the bedroom.

On top of this disappointment, I could not get it to work and with an absentee property owner, I couldn't get help. As I was alone, this wasn't very pleasing.

Only stayed one night. Windows bit thin, a lot of noise from the outside, bedding and furniture old and outdated, hot tap lets out cold water, cold tap lets out hot water.

• Alex (7/5): - La struttura è facilmente raggiungibile vicino alla strada principale di passaggio a Wick, l'appartamento è pulito e si sente ancora l'odore di nuovo, con letto comodo e una camera carina e spaziosa. La cucina comune sita al pian terreno è molto spaziosa e ben fornita. Forse proprio perché la struttura è recente, mancano alcune dotazioni essenziali per chi viaggia. È sicuramente indispensabile far trovare a chi soggiorna almeno dei prodotti per il bagno come un bagno doccia e un asciugacapelli. Un minimo di attenzione in più per il cliente renderà questa struttura un punto di soggiorno perfetto.
