Guest Reviews
- David (10/5): Comfortable and restful enjoyable stay. - Lovely and spacious, very clean and well equipped. Quiet and comfortable. The host communicated well and was very informative and friendly. The welcome pack included a delicious bottle of red-wine ! Much appreciated. A very enjoyable stay. Everything was excellent.
- Sara (10/5): Lovely Cottage in Shropshire with easy access to Weston Park - I really enjoyed the little gestures Liz put for us such as a lovely bottle of wine, bread and milk
- Joscelin (10/5): -
- Lee (9/5): - Very well equipped property Was a little dated
- Andy (9/5): -
- Carron (10/5): Really enjoyed our stay, it waslike home - We loved everything about the cottage. Liz was really friendly and welcoming. The cottage was warm & cosy, shame we only stayed 1 night. The hosts were so thoughtful they left milk, bread, butter plus everything we needed for showers. It’s such a beautiful cottage. Nothing. The hosts have got everything & more spot on.
- Richard (10/5): -
- Martin (9/5): A safe, secure and relaxing location to spend quality family time together. - Our second visit, once again a lovely warm welcome from our host Liz. The cottage is ideally situated for our needs when visiting Harper Adams Campus and worked very well for a family of 5; grandparents, parents and a 3 year old plus 3 dogs. The facilities, both inside and out, ensured a delightful weekend and hopefully we can return again in the future. Nothing not to like.
- Petra (10/5): - Fantastic little cottage. Beautiful location. Helpful and lovely owners who couldn't do enough. Will definitely return.
- Ron (10/5): -
- Hannah (10/5): Comfortable one night stay - Comfy bed. Spacious cottage. Location. Flexible check in. Dog friendly. Welcome pack.

- Sue (8/5): Great , especially with dog(s) - Welcome, clean, comfortable, dog friendly (near dog walking too) Wiring/lighting in bedroom upstairs did not work and had trouble keeping the lights on
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, lovely cottage an the hosts where fabulous an the welcome pack was a great surprise would definitely stay again. Nothing
- Sinead (10/5): Too short ☺️ - Second time staying here and always feel welcome! The dogs love it too 😊 Nothing.
- Cameron (10/5): Exceptional - the house is great. comfortable and has everything you would need for a short or long stay.
- Michael (10/5): Warm, cosy and very comfortable! - A beautiful welcome pack on arrival started our overnight stay brilliantly! We attended an event at the international centre close by and had Holly Cottage as our base and what a wonderful, cosy and comfortable place it is. Great amenities, really comfy beds, a warm and lovely house to relax in with great hosts, thank you very much 🫶 Everything was perfect for us.
- Nick (5/5): Passable - Within easy reach of Ironbridge, Shrewsbury and some lovely countryside. The house is spacious and has lots of potential to be a characterful and welcoming cottage. The ratings (over 9 when I looked) simply do not reflect the quality of the accommodation. The main bedroom was nice with a good bed, but overall we were disappointed. There was a large fireplace, but it was occupied by a cheap fan heater giving a poor impression of a stove. The photos I saw that drew me to book showed real flames in the fireplace. The decor is very tired. At the price we paid (£165) we expected a much higher standard.
- George (8/5): Lovely cottage, great place - Spacious, good parking and comfy bedrooms! Electric went off in the morning so no hot water. Cold shower was grim.
- Sinead (10/5): Perfect, lots of little extras, bread, milk, wine on arrival! Host had opened up and heating on! Will defo stay again! - Perfect little cottage for myself and my two dogs! Owner was pet friendly and it was a lovely experience. Nothing
- Charlotte (9/5): Great New Year stay with friends. - Lovely, spacious property with ample parking. Private courtyard area closed off by gates which was good for pets. Hosts were great communicators and were able to provide a cot and high chair for a baby. Limited cooking accessories - couldn’t find any normal baking trays.
Decor could be updated but that didn’t impact the stay in any way.
- Rebecca (10/5): Great cottage, great communication, great facilities - My husband and daughter stayed due to close proximity to Lilleshall for a hockey assessment. They said the rooms were great, very clean and the owner was super helpful. Nothing!
- Graham (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable, well presented, well equipped cottage in a great location for me. Nothing
- Sarah (7/5): Good - Plenty of space. Well equipped kitchen. Pleasant setting. The hosts were very helpful.
- Martin (10/5): A delightful stopover for everyone after a long day - Ideally placed, delightful cottage, very tastefully modernised. Well equipped kitchen. Ticked all the boxes and went beyond.
Welcome, hospitality and attention to detail from Liz excellent and would have no hesitation whatsoever in returning for a second visit. Nothing to complain about.

- Geraldine (10/5): Exceptional - Everything cottage was perfect and owner was very friendly and helpful. Nothing it was perfect 😄
- Victoria (10/5): Exceptional - The cottage was very nice everything was provided it was well set out and clean
- Ron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (5/5): Slightly disappointing - Cottage has potential to be excellent. Needs money spending on it to reach highest standards. We;come pack was a nice touch, for which thanks are due.
Overall I would give a 6 ½ out of ten. With money spending wisely this could easily be a 10+ cottage. This is a lovely cottage let down by general state of cleanliness and in need of updating in kitchen and bathrooms. Every piece of cutlery showed it has been air dries on the draining rack, as they were all water marked and looking dirty. Downstairs loo door would not close properly and it was also very dirty with two significant spider webs in direct eyeline as you entered. Master bedroom magnificent, but needs carpet not bare floor (even though bit is painted). Would benefit from more detail in a folder as to what is where, local facilities etc. Bundles of tourist leaflets (Why so many of each, and why so many out of year date?) in hallway looked really untidy , and not needed.
