Guest Reviews
- William (9/5): - Lovely caravan that has been really looked after Bit of noise from the clubhouse but not the fault of the owner
- Tanya (9/5): -
- Constanze (8/5): süßes mobile Home mit allem, was man benötigt - Sehr süßes, voll ausgestattetes mobile Home. Bett sehr bequem und die Eigentümerin gibts sich sehr viel Mühe. Wir waren dort für eine Nacht, um die Fähre am nächsten Morgen zu nehmen.
- Erik (10/5): - Very happy to stayed here 1 night before crossing back to NL. Very friendly hosts, easy check in. Caravan comfortable with enough space for 6. Nice park with good facilities. Great value for money, highly recommended!
- Gary (9/5): Lovely quiet place, very nice hosts, everything i needed was there. Well worth a visit for anyone - Only stayed overnight to catch the next day ferry, so it was just a place to sleep. Beautiful static caravan, lovely furnishings and very clean.
Had a nice chat with the owners, Norman enjoys his football just like me. Would definitely stay there again.
- Linda (10/5): - Lovely caravan. Lovely owners, very helpful. Lovely site, friendly, clean and fun. On site prices quite expensive and unreasonable.

- Susan (10/5): Excellent and enjoyable stay. - Location great. Well equipped caravan even had a small air fryer available (although did not use) towels were provided also. Very friendly and informative caravan host. Although mentioned to me before arrival, shower scorching hot. Nothing negative to comment
- James (10/5): Brilliant stay very happy with everything - Lovely friendly owners so helpful with everything with the caravan was clean and tidy when arrived looking forward to booking again
- Julie (1/5): Appalling caravan and wouldn’t recommend anyone staying here - Nothing at all apart from the location It was dirty , it smelled appalling, the beds still had the dirty bedding on them, it had not been cleaned , a bag of dog poo outside the door from the previous guests , there was no running hot water , the cold tap worked but all the hot water taps and shower had no running water , contacted the owner who couldn’t send a plumber till next day but we was only there for one night , refused to refund us our money and we ended up having to leave and book somewhere else due to not being able to wash or shower with no water , we hoovered and changed the bed and would have put up for it for one night if we’d have had water to shower with , not even an apology from the owner never mind our money back 😡
- Becky (9/5): Fantastic stay with lovely friendly host perfection location - All positive, accommodation was lovely and clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Charlotte and Norman the hosts were very helpful and friendly. Nothing to write here
- Anabela (9/5): -
- Kerry (10/5): Loved it was a nice family Xmas - Liked the lot The oven needs to be electric or some how cook quicker. Very slow
- steve (10/5): -
- Charlie (7/5): Calm and relaxing - Owners where really helpful got things sorted quickly was a lovely stay close to the entertainment as well such an easy van to find Can’t say anything bad really lovely people to talk to on the phone got things sorted quickly as well
- Craig (7/5): Clean and central - Close to the Stenaline ferry (10min) and easy to get to. Clean with all the requirements. Friendly owners. The check in procedure was painful. You have to call and get manual directions from the dental practice nearby. A GPS location is preferred. Getting the key also included having to phone with a password and a key lock number, which if you forget, you can't leave. The instructions should be in the booking.com message with instructions on how to fix the boiler errors too, key lock numbers and so on.
- tracy (8/5): Good value for money, great for kids - On a nice ice site, everything we needed Very close to road,
- Jo (8/5): 1nt stay food - Lovely spacious bed area and comfy.and the lady owner for the caravan nice lady and helpful , food in freezer and all bedding she has on the bed already and towels so that was nice, heating works very nice and felt cost tv good also.also liked the concrete carpark space at the front.the price very cheap as was off season. The oven very slow the chips didnt cook and was in there for ages, has a microwave and hob works well the caravan would benifit to have a airfyer, as the oven isnt great, was lucky the thin pizza only just cooked, spoke to the owner about it though and she said the ovens in the caravans arnt great.the shop on site was closed and empty seems like it has shut down.

- Johan Peter (8/5): Prima voor één nachtje - Schoon en redelijk gezellig Wij vonden de cijfercode voor sleutel lastig.Kleine cijfertjes in het donker en de eigenaar was moeilijk te verstaan

- Wimolrat (10/5): -
- Radoslaw (9/5): Lovley break with family. - Great location. Could be more clean.
- Trevor (9/5): -
- Andy (6/5): - The location is perfect for the ferry port. Such a shame as this place has great potential. The beds really need to be replaced as they were quite worn and below par. The bedding needs renewing, and the pillows and duvets need to be replaced as they were pretty grim - the smell was quite off-putting and we struggled to get comfortable and be able to sleep.
The place was not as bad as other reviews made out, so I would say overall improvements have been made. But what stands out is the place needs a "deep clean", in particular the carpets and upholstery.
- Andy (10/5): -
- Clare (10/5): Clean comfortable and nice owners - It had everything we needed and was comfortable and clean. There was nothing to dislike
- Feikje (9/5): Zeer prettig!
Niets. Goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding
- Julie (10/5): Lovely lovely owners had the pleasure to meet them definitely recommend to anyone and will definitely stay again - Everything you could ask for supplied
Never stayed in a caravan that owners have accommodated for there guests so well before Nothing everything was great couldn’t fault a thing
- Sally (8/5): Very good - The caravan was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The double bed was not comfortable but the single beds were.
- Rena (10/5): Exceptional - Everything
The owners were welcoming
There was bed linen, clean towels, tea, coffee
All the cutlery, cooking utensils & cleaning products were provided
Also, loads of storage & hangers!
The size & location were excellent to travel to Harwich port
We would definitely stay here again There wasn't anything we didn't like
The caravan was close to all the amenities of which there were plenty
- Ruud014 (10/5): Nice caravan, everything was great! - Nice contact. Fantastic! Our parents enjoyed it very much! Thank you! It is their last trip to England together so thank you so much that they can enjoy it!!!🥰 X
- Shauna (8/5): A nice cosy caravan. - It was well stocked up with everything you could need, the owners were very welcoming. The bedrooms had a very funny smell.
- Joey (6/5): Pleasant - Friendly and helpful contact, good location for the ferry, short walk to the beach and close to Harwich town for a wander. Some of the lights didn't work, but Charlotte very quickly responded so that was appreciated. The caravan was a little dirty when we arrived, crisps on the carpet, hand prints on the window, dog hairs etc. but there was sufficient cleaning material for us to sort this out ourselves so it wasn't too much of a bother.
- Donatas (7/5): Good -
- Joyce (6/5): Cheap and close to the ferry - Close to the ferry port, which is what was most important to us since we had to be there at 7am the next morning.
The static caravan is clean and there are plenty of towels and shampoo for an entire big family!
Hobestly, it's a good stay for a night if you need to be close to the ferry but I wouldn't stay here for a week. Even though the owners are really nice and trying their best to make it as nice as possible!
And we got the Marie from Aristocats bedding which I absolutely adored, and so did my daughter 😂 The bed was like sleeping on a sack of springs, not ideal when you have back problems 😅
But again, it's not too expensive and very close to the port.
It was a Saturday night though and with the caravan being on the main road of the park, it got very noisy throughout the entire night with cars driving past with loud music and what seemed to be no exhaust.
- D (1/5): Very disappointing would not recommend avoid - Nothing We where not able to stay because of how dirty it was. It was not clean and we can’t expect our children to stay in such unhygienic accommodation, even our children said they could not stay because of the filth. We could only load 4 pictures from 20 we took of how bad it was. Our children and us arrived and once in the caravan noticed that it was not clean. In fact someone was living there while it was not let. Half eaten food in fridge, a smell through the caravan like off milk, shower no one would go in and pictures attached and it was too bad so we left. We explained to the owner we where not happy and locked back within one hour of arriving. On top of that we could not find some where else to stay so had to cancel our holiday and drive 2 hours home with the whole family upset. We would not normally write such a bad review but the owner has been shocking and took offence to the fact the caravan was so bad. We have never had accommodation with any issue like this via booking.com and stay away lots. This has to be the worst ever and if you complain the owner reports you to booking.com as bad customers although we was only there 1 hour mostly taking pictures. Having now read the reviews we are not the only ones
- Julia (8/5): Very good -
- Harriet (6/5): Pleasant -
- Aurika (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anisa (10/5): Amazing - Lovely location
Very kind/ friendly hosts
Has everything you need above most caravan hosts which I was very happy about.
- Leanne (10/5): Charlotte the owner was very nice and helpful and the actual caracan was lovely, we will definitely be booking again - It was clean, comfortable and easily accessible
- Jason (8/5): Very good -
- Natalie (10/5): We had a lovely few days and would definitely come back to stay xx - The caravan had everything we needed charlotte provided all the essentials we needed x Nothing everything was absolutely fine for us as a family x
- Allison (10/5): Exceptional -
- Berrith (8/5): Very good - Clean and comfortable.
- Laura (2/5): Never again! So dirty. - The location is perfect if you have to take the boat to Holland from Harwich. The beds were not changed at all, there were hairs in it and you could smell other people. The towels were still wet and smelly from the previous guests. There was a broken spotlight causing a lot of glass in the bedroom. I had to change all the beds by myself.. sorry but it’s just not ok.
- Linda (6/5): Nice stay in a mobile home - The caravan was very clean and the beds comfortable The second bedroom was very small and we could not even fit our luggage in the room
- Peter (9/5): Great location and Charlotte was super friendly and helpful. - Not applicable Better written instructions how to get there and instructions where to take the garbage.
- Mark (7/5): Lovely people and a great location for our Ferry trip abroad. -
- Joris (8/5): Great location near Harwich international port and a good, practical stay for one or a few nights. - The main value of the location for us would be the proximity to the international port of Harwich (to take the ferry across the Channel). We liked the space in the caravan, it being a caravan :-) and it is conveniently positioned at the main road in and out the holiday park. It was also nicely uncluttered which helps keeping track of your own stuff and make it more your own while there. 2 toilets were also a good feature to have in relatively not that lot of space. The holiday park can be a bit noisy, but that will vary probably, we didn't mind it that much. The direct neighbors are very quiet. One bed should have been a bit cleaner.
- Mary (7/5): Could have been cleaner but it’s a nice place to stay. - Good location for the ferry, only a 9 minute drive. Everything provided, even some items in the fridge. Disappointed in the cleanliness. Old socks discovered in a cupboard, toothpaste on a towel and toilet hadn’t been flushed.
- Vernon (8/5): Very good - The accommodation was good We thought the accommodation could have been a little cleaner
- Heather (8/5): Very convenient for a one night stay before catching morning ferry to hook van Holland - Close to Harwich ferry, clean
- Udo (1/5): Horror caravan - Nothing. There was no cosy feeling to the caravan at all. No friendly atmosphere and very uninspiring. Only bright ceiling lights for example. The caravan was the dirtiest I have ever experienced. The floor was covered in dirt and hair, this was especially bad in the shower area and toilet, and bedroom. And the horror continued when I wanted to use the toilet. Someone had already used it before me and didn't flush. There were human feces all over the toilet. It was dirty and discusting. It made me almost vomit. The whole place smelled like a dump.
- Steve (9/5): Superb -
- Marriam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (10/5): Big thanx to the property owner need more people like you 😘😘😘😘😘😘 - Sorry but all I can say is WOW Spot on but and I say but there was no milk lol 🤭🤭🤭🤭
- Butterfield (10/5): Exceptional - Caravan had everything we needed, and despite a biting northerly wind, it was very comfortable. Charlotte was very chatty and keen to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Wide range of toiletries, which was a nice touch. Master bedroom was a really good size and had an en-suite so ideal for elderly parent. We have already recommended it to other people we know visit the area regularly. Twin room was small, but that is normal in a caravan.
- Tony (8/5): Great couple of nights in a ‘home-from-home’ and a genuine and warm welcome from a splendid host! - Spacious, clean and very well equipped place near the centre of the holiday park with parking space immediately outside. Nothing to really dislike at all! The blurb mentions needing to bring own bed linen and towels - but these were plentifully supplied so we didn’t need ours. Slight quirk that shower is a fixed temperature, but this is easily controlled by changing boiler setting, so no issue at all really.
- Brian (10/5): Great accommodation ideal for the short hop to the ferry - Delightful self-catering caravan had everything Quite a busy holiday resort site
Some problems finding the property although communications were excellent and problem resolved very quickly … suggest the owner uses the location app on www.what3words.com
- Geoffrey (10/5): Weekend away - Everything was absolutely excellent ..we will definately be staying again in the near future There was nothing we didnt like
- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bíróné-markus (7/5): Good - The caravan was perfectly equiepped,so cosy and nice. The park had a lot of play grounds, soft play/ swimming pool/craft for kids (for charge),lot of beaches in walking distance.
The town is small but you can find everything you need.
The caravan is on the main road, so it was noisy, especially on evenings ,would not be the best idea with small ones, but it is the best option for those who is there to enjoy the parties,as this is just a few metres away from the enertainment area. The bathroom and the toilettes were not cleaned when we have arrived, so I was a little bit disappointed, as I had to clean it for ourselves and took my time away from my holiday and family time.
- Amanda (9/5): Perfect location for a stay to visit my parents - The location was great and it was the perfect size for us all There wasn’t anything we didn’t like
- Shakhawan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steven (7/5): Excellent caravan , home from home. - Location was great for us, as we had family around the corner Caravan was on main road to club house. Got woken early in the morning by cars , assuming staff .. Disappointed that the gas ran out on our last morning. We arrived late on Tuesday night, out most of the Wednesday for a funeral and came back about 20.00pm. Contacted owner and it was sorted ASAP.. Will recommend. Did not use the facilities so cannot comment. Will use again if in the area.
- Татьяна (10/5): Exceptional - We stayed here for 3 nights and we really loved the place.
Situated in a nice, peaceful site. Which included many things such as a basketball court, bar and cafe, takeaway pizza place and easy access to the beach. A stones throw away from the main Dovercourt beach area. An ideal location for anyone looking to get away and relax by the sea and at a reasonable price.
Dealing with the owner of the holiday home was a pleasure. She was very kind and didn't bother us at all. The home was clean and had all that you would need. Everything was working correctly and if there were any issues, all it needed was one phone call. Fortunately there were no issues at all.
We love the area of Harwich and we would definitely stay again and recommend to our family and friends.
