- Peter (8/5): No frills accommodation in decent location. - Compact, very clean. Close to bus stop . Located ok for discovering the west side of the isle. Great pub walking distance away but take torch if visiting in dark as there’s minimal street lighting . Cold in some rooms (march) - hot water pressure low.
- Jacqui (9/5): Dog friendly - Excellent location for The Needles. Also the beach was only a short distance away. It felt just right for what we needed - a dog friendly short break. It was great to stay somewhere that said it was dog friendly that didn’t come with a list of dos and don’ts. 🌟
- Kieran (10/5): -
- Lauren (10/5): - It was nice quiet place conference
- Joanna (8/5): clean little cottage, a few simple changes could make such a difference to comfort. - Very clean
Quiet
Bed comfy Uncomfortable sofa
Very basic kitchen
Bath felt like it was going to crack when having a shower
Hot water tap pressure wasn’t great
- Clive (9/5): - Quiet, secure, extremely safe yet open. It's like you live on mainland England but travel back in time 60 years and select all the good qualities of living, ie low crime, respect, pace of life, nature and community. Expensive Ferry prices.
- Jonathan (8/5): - Hosts are lovely. Really helpful and friendly

- MARLON (8/5): A lovely relaxing weekend away. - A very comfortable and clean cottage. Well equipped. Lovely location.
- Louis (10/5): A wonderful and beautifully themed cottage to relax and explore the Isle of Wight. - The hosts, Steve and Rebecca are both lovely and a great support if you need anything. They were super helpful accommodating us and our cycles.
Honey Cottage was an absolutely beautiful little retreat — perfect for two people. The place is spotless, tidy, and clearly cared for with great attention to detail. We loved the charming bee theme throughout, which made it feel really special and full of character. A lovely, quiet and quality stay on the Isle of Wight — highly recommended for anyone looking to relax and unwind. Nothing! It was a great and cosy place to stay.
- Bliss (10/5): - A very cosy Cottage and we loved the Bea decor connection.
Perfect for our Dogs as safe garden too. No hot water in kitchen but not a problem, we simply used the kettle to wash up. Forgot to mention on leaving .

- Sean (9/5): Quiet week away in Honey Cottage - Very clean, peaceful, comfortable and homely cottage.
- Corrin (10/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Honey Cottage & would highly recommend it to our friends & family. - It was very clean & comfortable, in a lovely secluded spot.
The bed was extremely comfortable, which is a bonus to us oldies. The only complaint we had was the shower pressure was not very good.
- Short (8/5): beautiful cosy building nice and private . -
- Lynn (10/5): Ideal home from home with perfect hosts, Rebecca and Steve. Hope to be back - Ideal location, comfortable, clean, bright and beautifully decorated to match the theme of Honey Cottage Nothing
- Louise (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay at Honey Cottage. The outside area was a real highlight; we loved sitting at the picnic bench and making use of the BBQ, it was perfect for relaxing in the evenings. Inside, the cottage was lovely and clean, well furnished and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The owners were absolutely lovely and made us feel very welcome. We will be recommending Honey Cottage to our friends and family.

- Renata (10/5): Relaxing few days near the coast - Small but perfect cottage, beautifully furnished, very comfy bed, small but practical kitchen. Very dog friendly. Short distance from the beach.
- Peter (10/5): Me and my dog absolutely enjoyed our time here. 10/10 recommended by both of us. - Everything really. Location, space, tidiness. Rebecca and Steve are super friendly and welcoming. Honestly, there is nothing i could mention in this section.
- Christy (10/5): A great place to stay for Totland Bay - We loved the picnic table outside with umbrella, so we ate outside. The theme of the downstairs is bee kind. & upstairs, nautical. So that was lovely! An excellent place to stay.
- Michael (10/5): Brilliant accommodation -
- Lucy (9/5): Superb -
- Karen (8/5): Very good - We had a four night stay to visit family on the Island. Honey Cottage provided ideal accommodation for us (two adults and a dog). It was clean and well equipped. There is a very small enclosed garden, perfect for the dog to go out in the morning and last thing at night. There is off-road, dedicated parking for one car. The owners were friendly and helpful. Totland is a good location, the beach is in easy walking distance, as is the Island coastal path for scenic walks.
- Sue (10/5): Brilliant. Welcoming and comfortable. - Absolutely brilliant! I loved everything.
My stay was exceptional. Rebecca and Steve are lovely, so is Woody (their dog) and their chatty little daughter.
The cottage was delightful and I will be staying there again. It's a bit like a Tardis because it is deceptively spacious inside. The kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom shower is very good, the bed is really comfortable and the lounge is comfy too. Everything and every room was absolutely clean for when I arrived. Myself and my two dogs were warmly greeted on arrival by Rebecca and Steve, and made very welcome. It really was a lovely stay. There was nothing to not like.
- Monk (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carla (8/5): Loved it and will defo return - Super clean house
- Margaret (10/5): Exceptional - Quiet and tranquil Nothing
- Lesley (10/5): Peaceful relaxing stay. - Clean very functional and a friendly welcome,
If you are looking for a peaceful quiet place to stay would definitely recommend .
Great location to explore the island from None
- Rebekahgj (10/5): Beautiful place, amazing hosts! - Beautiful little house which was quiet, amazingly clean and a joy to stay in.
Amazing hosts, who are friendly, kind, genuine and incredibly supportive - and, we hope, will become dear friends. Thank you for everything, Rebecca and Steve. We loved it all! The only thing we felt would enhance the stay even more would be a small washing machine, for those irritating food down the clothes moments ;-)
- Martin (1/5): Bed bugs and untruths from owners! Be warned. - The location of the property near the Needles and West side of the Isle of Wight BE WARNED: Don’t stay here, bitten by bed bugs and owner cannot be trusted
Halfway through night 3 of 4 we identified the bed had bed bugs. Picture below. I had multiple bites on my bottom, legs and back as did my daughter. Neither of us had had any bites until we got to the property, in the first few days I thought it was small mosquitoes. But I got more bites in the bed and after photos and zooming in on the bedding identified that crawling very things on the bed, which I believed was bed bugs and I advised booking.com and the owner. The owner initially were great offering alternative accommodation or a ferry home and a refund for the two nights and in times of issues like this, I was heartened and reassured, as this situation was awful and really distressing for my 12-year-old daughter.
HOWEVER, after we returned home the owners claimed that my dog had brought fleas into their property and there was dog hair all over the bedding. My dog is flea treated, is a short haired red fox Labrador and I check her regularly for fleas and there was not any, also we did not have any bites before I went to this property and in the video I took the bugs are still or slow moving and not jumping so not fleas! Also, my dog is not allowed on beds or furniture, and this was no different at this property and had not been allowed on the bed and you can see that from the pictures taken of the bedding, as there are no dog hairs on it, which was supplied to the owner re these issues.
This is a real shame as I prior to this shift I could not be more complimentary with their approach to this awful situation when we were there and is clearly made-up post us leaving the Island and I would advise anyone to think twice before you stay here as the owners were lovely and helpful and then turned and cannot be trusted
- Alison (10/5): Beautiful relaxing place to stay - Prefect place to stay with a beautiful garden. So quiet and serene.
- Yvonne (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely location, good base to visit the Island. The cottage was exceptionally clean, well maintained and very private. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it and are keen to return 👍🏻
- Shaun (10/5): Lovely house, with wonderful owners 👍🏻😊 - Was a home to home feeling. Lovely family who own it. Was very clean and everything you need is there. Had our dog with us, the garten is enclosed and pet friendly.
We look forward to going back ASP.
Thanks for everything 😊
- Steven (7/5): Good - Cottage was clean and comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. Seafront was a short walk away. Cottage could be improved with the addition of a couple of towel rails in the kitchen so that you can hang up a tea towel and hand towel. The same applies to the bathroom so that you can hang your towels up.
- Sherrylouise (10/5): Perfect hoilday home, great for pets. - The hosts were so friendly and went above and beyond. The house was perfect, we are a family of 2 with 2 big dogs. Rebecca offered to let the dogs out for us when we were on longer trips, which made our stay so much more relaxed and enjoyable. The location was so peaceful and beautiful, and I loved the theme of the house very cute and relaxing, with everything you'd possibly need.
The weather was glorious for our stay, and Rebecca gave the dogs a small outside pool for them to enjoy on hot days. The garden is fully enclosed, offering peace of mind for our fur babies.
Many beautiful beaches nearby. Nothing
- Paul (10/5): Fantastic stay in a very comfortable cottage. - Very high standard with comfortable furnishings. The bed was particularly comfortable. Although adequate it’s a pity the shower was not up to the same standard as the rest of the property.
- Steve (10/5): Absolutely brilliant - Amazing, very cozy and clean
- Helen (8/5): Peaceful and enjoyable. We will definitely stay there again but maybe in the summer when it is warmer. - Honey cottage is in a perfect location, no traffic and no artificial light. It’s was spotlessly clean with beautiful furnishings. Rebecca and family were lovely. The first thing that hit us when we walked in was how cold it was. There was one heater on in the lounge but the door was shut so the heat did not circulate. The heaters upstairs were not even plugged in. Other visitors had commented on this in their reviews so I had hoped it would have been better.
- Rosemary (5/5): Adequate for our short stay, thanks for accommodating us. - Charming location. The house is well equipped and we were warmly welcomed by host. The house would be great for a summer holiday. However, we think the heating is not adequate for winter stays. The radiator in the living room made the room feel stuffy but not really comfortable. Without heating of their own, the kitchen and hallway remained unpleasantly cold throughout our stay. This made the house feel cheerless.
I suggest the plumbing needs some attention - it was not possible to get more than a trickle of hot water from the kitchen tap. The shower flow rate was also quite poor and the temperature of it very erratic.
- Benjamin (10/5): Very well presented l, clean and tidy and cosy little place - Lovely quiet location very clean toddy and comfortable Heating could have been put on low before we arrived to the chill off but it wasn’t a major problem, shower wasn’t very good went from ok temperature to scalding hot without warning and back again. A TV in the bedroom would have been been no but not a major issue
- John (10/5): Thank you for a lovely stay, we would definitely return. - All round great property and very well maintained.
The owners are a very nice couple and very helpful.
We would definitely stay again and would thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting a self contained lovely environment. There wasn’t anything to dislike.
Our whole experience was great.
The property is very well looked after and extremely clean.
