Ernest (6/5): - It was a quiet location and easy access to the Hume Hwy. Small room. The shower cubicle is very tight with the triangular shape screen and the shower head sprays water directly onto the door of the shower screen causing water to leak out onto the floor of the bathroom.

Was thankful that the house extra sofa bed was already made up for my little boy after a long day of travelling. The towels were too thin and the master bed was too uncomfortable!

The photos of the room actually don’t do it justice - it felt fresher than the photos showed. Parking was available right in front of the room. A few pillows had a very crinkling plastic sound when moving. There was no Flyscreen on the separate bedroom’s window.

On arriving at reception, the staff member didn't acknowledge my presence. He continued with a long phone conversation, certainly work related, but it didn't sound urgent, He could've put the call on hold, asked for my ID and given me the key. The room was prepaid and we'd travelled 315km on motorbikes, in bad weather so I wasn't impressed with having to wait in reception for such a length of time.

There was a tea towel to dry dishes I'd used after washing them up. The rose garden didn't live up to the photograph in the on-line information. The hot water ran cold at night when I showered. It had been hot for my husband. But in the morning it was hot again. Spiders' webs under the chair outside the front door on the unit's part of the 'veranda'.

The air-conditioning also had a mouldy/musty smell when heating was selected. The carpet needs a deep clean or replacing. Towels felt old and well used. The microwave was also dirty with food mess from previous guests.

There were people smoking right outside our door under the no smoking sign. On both sides of our room. Couldn’t open the window or door. They were not happy when I pointed that out. No one from management challenged them.

Although good proximity to town centre, the bathroom heat lamp apparatus leaked, not once but twice, moved to another very similar room, only to be told to move back again. Very inconvenient and time consuming as we were on time schedule for hockey matches. Fuse blew twice due to leak....dangerous to guests. No towels left on one of the days and needed extra for drying hair. No vacuumming done, hence carpet floor not clean. Dead bugs on window sills not dusted away. Tuesday manager was rude and swore when told of 2nd leak and very unhelpful. His remark was 'well it has been raining'. Really. I was taught that electricity and water doesn't mix. Hand soap minute, like wafer thin needs to be at least another 3grams of soap, or provide hand wash on pump. Honestly, a terrible place to stay for a week. We left one day early. A sorry note and kitkats for inconvenience. Not good enough.

Simon (7/5): Upon arrival me and my family were impressed and felt that the price was good value. - comfortable beds, large sized main room and second bedroom. Sheet appeared new and very clean. Towels were fresh and clean. Overall, very good value for money. The exterior grounds with all the plants were very nice. • That the bath/shower combo is very dated (1980s vibe) and water goes everywhere when showering. Recommend that if a shower/bathtub combo is still desired by Willows management, that it be redesigned and updated with glass screens to prevent water escaping. • Also recommend that the carpets be replaced with laminate/hybrid floorboards. This will update the current 90s look, and transform the room to a more modern contemporary feel (yet still retain old school charm like the kitchenette and large oyster ceiling lights).Many people perceive carpet these days to be less clean than floorboards and they can hold odors.
