Guest Reviews
- Saru (8/5): -
- Susan (9/5): - Amazing views.
Very comfy and spacious.
Very well equipped. The track to the house was tricky to negotiate in a small car. We appreciate the note of warning given by the property owner.

- Gillian (10/5): Perfect family get away that will always be remembered as we can’t be together over Christmas x - Welcome bottle of wine and chocolates was a nice surprise. House very clean and kitchen well equipped. Beautiful view and quiet location. Request for Christmas decorations was also much appreciated. Nothing

- lee (10/5): couple small faults but great property - the view out patio area was stunning
loads room for us to enjoy sitting at table for meals looking out to the views was great no tvs in bed room need bigger towels better cooking equipment everything was sticking to pans dead ladybug in one of the beds
- Stephen (1/5): Do not book this if sleep is something you need - Location was good Beds were simply appalling. All beds sprung (that is, the springs were completely gone). Cheap, uncomfortable, noisy and utterly disappointed. No real sleep was possible.
- Peter (9/5): We enjoyed staying in this well equipped and clean property. - Location was excellent for our purpose. Great to have off street parking.
- Claire (10/5): - Excellent location, had everything we needed, wine and biscuits on arrival
- Maria (9/5): Perfect! - The house is absolutely clean, you have beautiful views all day and is in a perfect location for enjoying Peak District We liked all
- Laura-Jane (9/5): Beautiful location to create family memories! - The property was in a great location with amazing views. It was well equipped with everything you needed for the stay. Nothing ☺️
- Colin (9/5): Lovely place to spend a week, would definitely recommend - Location was excellent, very easy to drive to wherever we wanted to in the Peak District. House was very spacious, plenty of space for 4 adults, a child & dog! Extractor fan is a bit deadly! Very low, frequent bangs to the head.
- Jada (10/5): A peaceful stay in a charming area - The house was absolutely beautiful, well equipped, clean and spacious.
The doors opening from the kitchen to the patio were the best feature and the views were breathtaking.
Lots of parking, peaceful surroundings with friendly neighbours. I can’t fault a thing :)
- Janet (10/5): Wonderful relaxing time, chilling enjoying the views. - Such a beautiful house, in a fantastic location, the house was beautiful inside the views where beautiful outside as well. The garden was lovely, the dogs loved exploring, they where fascinated by the tadpoles in the pond.
The neighbours where very friendly.
The house is modern well appointed, clean very well equipped. Very comfortable, the beds are fantastic. Nothing, all was excellent
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - Great house in great location. Lovely views from patio. House had everything we needed very comfortable our two dogs loved it also. We had a great time with family there and would recommend and would stay again if going to the area.
- Mariam (7/5): Good - Lovely views Mattresses were very poor quality which let the property down
- Neil (8/5): Very good -
- Gurjinder (9/5): Superb - Modern, comfortable and homely, close to Matlock Farm, Abraham Heights and Lumsdale Valley so ideal. Home from home with kids. Really responsive and friendly hosts who gifted the kids Coco pops for brekkie which went down a treat! Unforseen; there were no keys to lock the windows, which posed a security risk and so husband and I were unable to share a room as we had to split between the kids which is unfortunate. Now TV did not work TV was not tuned, tried to tune it but failed, not there for the TV though so we played games but flagging for other parents.
- Linda (8/5): Lovely stay lovely views nice and tidy - Views were lovely A lot of bugs and flys in the house
- Chris (9/5): Superb - With its wonderful views and well equipped kitchen this was a wonderful base for a family Christmas
- Ioana (10/5): Excellent experience . - Very clean with everything a family needs fully equiped quiet surroundings and a beautiful view from the terrace. We had a great experience as it was our first time in Peak District.
- Kim (9/5): Beautiful clean house with comfy beds and great location for local tourist attractions - A lovely clean house with very comfortable beds. Peaceful and quiet location that was perfect for visiting local attractions such as Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall and the local village of Bakewell. The un made road was extremely uneven ( which we were warned about ). However there is the largest pothole a few hundred yards from the property and no other way through. When we arrived in the dark it was full of water and we had no way of knowing how deep. It didn’t help that a neighbour parked next to it , forcing us to go through.
Also, due to the house being built next door further up the hill, I would recommend curtains in the kitchen.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brenda (9/5): Superb -
- Ip (8/5): Very good -
- Marcus (8/5): We enjoyed a very relaxing and comfortable stay. - Very nicely refurbished and decorated house in a quiet area. Green space in front was perfect for our dog. Dishwasher filter should have been cleaned.
- Catherine (10/5): Wow. We loved it and we will definitely come again. - Comfortable, bright and clean with exceptional design features. We had a 3 yr old and dog with us and the park just on the doorstep was a great hit. Beautiful views from the kitchen. We loved it.
We really appreciated the welcome pack of wine and biscuits too. We were there because our son had walked a marathon for charity, the deep roll top bath was extremely welcome. We liked it all. Little suggestions perhaps provide some egg cups and some tinfoil so your guests can help to keep your oven trays clean.
- Lorna (9/5): Superb - The kitchen dining areas is amazing! It's a great social space. The garden isn't enclosed so had to keep our dog on the long lead
- Julia (10/5): Great price for 3 bedroom house with Views! - Great space, clean, easy access nicely decorated and equipped well. Nothing.
- Paul (9/5): Scenic setting, great property - you may not want to go out once you get here. - We had things planned for our stay but ended up spending lots of time just chilling at the property instead of just using it as a base. The horse saddle breakfast bar stools are an acquired taste.
Not owners fault but the potholes in the unadopted access road are treacherous
- Tegan (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely gorgeous place, completely surpassed our expectations and the hosts were so lovely and helpful! Highly recommend staying here.
- Emma (8/5): Beautiful setting for peace and tranquility - Beautiful setting with views across the valley. Clean and comfortable with everything we needed Shame the garden and/or patio wasn’t enclosed for dogs as this would prevent us booking again. Access road is treacherous with potholes but not the fault of the owner
- John (8/5): Very good - Very comfortable pleasant location! The only real problem was the approach road! It was full of pot holes which made coming and going particularly difficult!
- Karen (10/5): This property was exceptional in a lovely location and we hope to stay again - Location was fantastic, so central to everything around that we wanted to visit. The view from the dining room was breathtaking, a wow moment on arrival! The property was very well equipped. Maybe a blind on the landing window would be good and a long handled broom to have a general sweep under the table etc.
- Daniel (10/5): Perfect Peak District getaway - Amazing house, spacious and beautifully decorated. Group of 5 (plus the dog) and the place was perfect for us. Short drive to Bakewell and other parts of the Peak District. Good outdoor area for a drink/food outside too
- Zoe (8/5): Very comfortable stay in a lovely property - Lovely and clean. Modern and light. Lovely views and very cosy The road up to the property is full of large potholes. Not good if you have a low sports car.
- Clifford (9/5): We really enjoyed staying at this lovely house - The facilities were excellent with lovely views The approach road was a bit bumpy
- Lindsay (8/5): Very good -
