Guest Reviews
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good - It ‘s a nice place and cleanness .
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yee (10/5): A wonderful stay in Vancouver - A cozy and comfortable place. I got all I need in this place. The host was very helpful and fixed the problem we faced. Nothing to complain.
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bandian (10/5): Exceptional - The host was very accommodating and quick to reply to inquiries ensuring our stay was comfortable. Not enough time in Vancouver.
- Maestro (10/5): It was truly a fun experience and I really enjoyed to stay and I plan to use it again and again when - From the moment we stepped into the house until we left this was an excellent decision to stay. The home was truly an amazing home. It had all the amenities plus more super clean, convenient great location and the host was extremely tentative and always responding to questions and just I plan to stay there again when I visit Vancouver.
- Natascha (10/5): A great family place in a great location that delivers what it promises! - This was a great apartment for a family of four. Having three bedrooms really made the difference for us and our children.
The main bedroom was great, with convenient on-suite toilet whose door could be fixed open so increase space.
We also liked the main bathroom with tub/shower and toilet. We were provided some shampoo, conditioner body wash and soap as well as towels.
The host even told us we shouldn't have had to buy toilet paper, as she would have given us some! I don't hear that often from the places we rent :)
Some coffee capsules were provided for the Keurig coffee machine but we mostly used a plastic manual filter (and lots of paper filters available) to make coffee with a bag my sister had given us. It seemed every time we needed some gadget it was available on site.
Some items were provided and in the fridge on our arrival: eggs, margarine, milk, juice, bread, some condiments and sauces.
Also tea, spaghetti, rice, oil, vinegar, soy sauce, honey, salt, sugar, band-aids and q-tips.
The location is great, close to buses for downtown or the skytrain that you can roll your luggage to, as the area is relatively flat (at Hastings Park near the PNE at McGill and Renfrew).
We made good use of the kitchen and large-screen TV to have dinner at home and watch the Stanley Cup playoff games!
Lots of great channels were available for news, sports and series.
The three main windows let in lots of light, creating a welcoming open living/dining/kitchen area (with connected piano area, which was a great place to sit and put your shoes on, with a shoe-bench and a recliner, as well as a place to hang up your jackets in the closet).
Erica was a great host, easily reachable and responded quickly to messages.
Note, the location photo is from nearby Hastings Park. Make sure you cross-air with the piano room if you want to use the pizza stone in the convection oven.
It is, however, possible to open the windows in the kitchen and the piano room to do this.
The blinds in the master bedroom should not be lowered, just opened and closed, otherwise they may fall down.
None of these are a big deal, just good to know.
- Audrey (8/5): Very good - Quiet setting, and extremely helpful but unobtrusive host. Comfortable accommodation, and very useful range of complimentary items. A good base for what we were doing, and on a bus route, plus a small convenience store within 5 minutes walk. The lighting was dim, and the layout was a bit disconcerting (but functional!)
- Joshy (9/5): Had a relaxing, and comfortable time. This place had everything we needed for a great time. - The place was nicely furnished. We appreciated the TV connection, the board games, and all the kitchen appliances. The location was very nice and convenient too. The house was well kept so it was a nice place to stay and rest. The only main thing was that there was some dust clinging to corners of the ceiling. But that was really the only thing and it was minor too, everything else was perfect!
- Becky (9/5): Great place for the family. Host was very friendly. Would definitely recommend and stay again! - Lots of space for everyone! The 2 bathrooms were a bonus!!! Nice and quiet and comfortable:)
- Arielle (9/5): Superb -
- Sara (8/5): Very good -
- Sharon (10/5): Exceptional - Spacious. Clean. Close to where we wanted to be. She even had breakfast stuff in the fridge for us It was all great
- Leah (10/5): Excellent - Fantastic place! Spacious, clean, highly recommended. Conveniently location near the PNE. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Fully equipped kitchen. Easy to find. Owner is very kind and communicative.
- Chsse (9/5): Superb -
- William (10/5): A warm and welcoming place to stay in East Vancouver. - Suite Sunrise was a lovely place to stay. It was very clean and warm. There was plenty of space to park the car. Erica was very kind and helpful. A real and unexpected bonus was the milk, orange, eggs, bread and butter left in the fridge for us. Thank you.
- Melissa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ning (7/5): Good - The place was very comfortable and has everything we needed for our 2.5 weeks' stay. The space was big enough for 3 adults and 2 kids of 2 and 5 year olds. Only down side is we had an unwanted visitor who visited frequently and leaving behind droppings. The owner did provide sticky mats after we notified her of the issue and we eventually caught one just before we left. If we didn't have this issue I would have rated this place a 9.
- Steph (6/5): Pleasant -
- Zoe (9/5): Superb -
- Jon (10/5): Great choice. Great space. - Clean and a great layout. Nothing. It is a great spot if that is the area you are looking for.
- Surojit (9/5): Worth the price and it was comfortable. - It was clean, had all the amenities, and the owners were friendly and response. Lots of noise from people upstairs.
- Sarwani (9/5): Unforgettable experience - Feeling home away from home None
- Svetlana (9/5): Great value, nice property; one should plan their commute though - It’s spacious, clean, and comfortable. It was a great choice for our company of 4 It’s quite far from the centre and you have to go/drive through the ugliest street of Vancouver full of homeless/drug addicts. Just be aware of it
- Ana (10/5): Great option - The space was exceptionally clean. We were two couples spending a night prior to boarding a cruise ship. There are some good restaurants within a 10 minute walk to dine, and Erica offers breakfast items (OJ,, coffee, eggs, toast) that make your stay pleasant. The neighbourhood seems a like a safe place to walk around at night. The walls are thin and not soundproof. The layout is a bit odd - you enter through one of the rooms.
- Brian (10/5): Great place stay, thanks again ! - The Location was fantastic and very easy to access.
- Kimberly (9/5): Really great - Nicely furnished Mattresses could use an upgrade
- Jane (9/5): Perfect for what we needed - Very clean and pleasant N/a
- Bev (10/5): Exceptional - convenient location, easily accessed from the highway.
- Avshalom (1/5): Bad - I was looking for an apartment for 2 couples with two bedrooms and two baths. The booking advertisement promised 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms. The picture of the house promised an entrance to the apartment through a beautiful lawn, that's all the promises. In practice, the entrance to the apartment is in the back of the house through a covered parking lot and then comes the next "surprise", you don't enter the house but go through a laundry room that is also used by the owners of the property. The "surprises" did not end here after passing through the laundry room, you enter the apartment through a small bedroom with a window without a curtain and on it are placed two black cardboard boxes that should be used as curtains. The room is also across from the rest of the apartment and there is no place to put even a suitcase, the bed is adjacent to the wall on one side, so you have to climb on top of those sleeping on the outside. I thought that those were the last "surprises" and then it turns out that there aren't two bathrooms, there is a tiny bathroom with a small closet the size of the sink, no shelves to put toothbrushes, makeup or a shaver, next to the sink is a toilet and next to it is a bathtub with a curtain that has probably seen better days. A search for another bathroom was unsuccessful, the second "bathroom" has a sink and a toilet, apparently the owners of the property thought we should shower in the sink. In the kitchen it is forbidden to operate two appliances at the same time. The third room is tiny with a single bed, we had to use it for luggage. I tried to understand how other customers gave a high score and I have no insight unless they only came as a couple or are used to living in a small cube.
- Hartejvir (8/5): Cozy spacious visit - Spacious room and cleanliness Mattresses wasn’t comfortable. Overall facilities was wonderful
- Kim (10/5): Would like to make an annual trip to the PNE and stay at this excellent property! - Our reason for travel was to attend the Pacific National Exhibition, and the property was less than 10 minutes away on foot. So convenient! We were really pleased with the comfortable pillows, clean linens and abundant towels, availability of toiletries and blow dryer--basically anything we needed was on hand, showcasing Erica's thoughtfulness on behalf of her guests. Some other amenities such as coffee shops were not as handy but we were able to get basic provisions at the nearby McGill Grocery, which featured a friendly, neighborhood feel. Erica made in-house coffee and tea supplies available as well so we were able to jumpstart our day and look out for coffee shops etc. later on.
- Jose (8/5): Very good - The shower didn't work properly, or we couldn't find a way to make it work.
- Gloria (8/5): Very good -
- Kent (9/5): Superb -
- Cedillo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (10/5): Excellent value for a beautiful 3 bedroom suite!! - A last minute booking. A delight to have such a huge space for myself and my friend who decided last minute to join me. Location near highway was great for my purposes. Easy on and off yet so quiet. Nothing negative.
- Emma (10/5): Clean, cosy home with a host that goes above and beyond. Fantastic communication throughout 🙂 - Everything was lovely and clean, the little added extras like supplies (shampoo/food etc) were incredibly thoughtful. Had what we needed plus so much more. The location was perfect for our requirements. Thank you for a wonderful stay 🙂
- Teck (7/5): Good - The living area is sufficiently spacious for 5 of us. The kitchen is well equipped. 3 separate sleeping rooms is great for us One of the bedrooms is a walk through main entrance which is also through the shared laundry
- Gary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cristina (10/5): A home away from home - The host was on top of communicating to us the complete details about the property and was very thoughtful. The breakfast items and coffee were very much appreciated. The place was clean and spacious. The location was centrally located to the different attractions that we planned to go to.
- Callie (10/5): It was comfortable and quiet - Very roomy and comfortable!
- Jannethe (10/5): Exceptional - Great place, big and has anything you need
Close to downtown
- Debra (10/5): I would stay here again. -
- Conrado (10/5): It’s a good size accommodation for bigger than 4 people. It’s like an airbnb set up, able to prep our food with a good k - Good residential location and central to our destinations
- Stevechong001 (10/5): hassle free stay - The price was good, easy to check in and out, very helpful host, clear instructions about everything, easy to find, hassle free stay
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dean (8/5): Very good - Good location and comfortable flat. Only one shower
- Renato (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marina (10/5): Exceptional - The breakfast items left for to use were a very special treat. The suite was easy to access, and was definitely more roomy than I imagined it from the website so it was a lovely surprise. The suite has character, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to use for our one night stay. Thank you. The bed sheets were stained with what appeared permanent staining, but perhaps there was no other set to utilize. The carport light remains on at night and so it was a bit bright through the blinds at night making it difficult to fall asleep. Overall, we had a great stay! I'd stay again in the future.
- S.k. (8/5): Cozy, fully equipped, comfortable - It's a very spacious basement with three bedrooms, 1.5 baths, laundry, a kitchen with a basic induction cooktop. The place was warm in the middle of winter. It comes equipped with pretty much everything needed. The temperature cannot be adjusted from the basement, as the thermostat is upstairs. Sometimes the furnace was blasting hot air and then in the middle of the night it got very cold. The induction cooktop is okay for boiling water, but too basic for any other kinds of cooking. Some noise from the floor on top. Not much sun as it is a basement.
- Shea (10/5): Exceptional - Great communication from Erica. The breakfast food was a nice surprise. Very close to the Pacific coliseum, which is where we were going the next day. We would stay there again 😊 Beds were a little firmer than we like, but everyone's preference is different.
- Federico (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely perfect 👍🏻
- Mark (7/5): Good - The piano is a nice touch. You don't see that very often. The fact that I can't play a piano. I should have kept up my lessons.
- Lisa (10/5): Although nothing went wrong, Erica was attentive and was available if needed. Great place to stay and would book again! - Tucked away in a quiet neighbourhood.
- Siau (7/5): Will probably consider staying there again if we are not cooking n if it is not in winter time - My daughter loves the piano , and the board games The main issue is the electricity— it will get trip if we use two or more appliances, and it took very long for water to boil in the pot, hence a simple meal took us almost close to 2 hours .
The 2 nights we stayed were quite cold, however the centre heater was not warm enough, though the owner provided 2 portable heater , but it was insufficient for 3 rooms
- Thea (8/5): Our family had a lovely stay, and would recommend to others - Very Clean, off street parking, good location, spacious with all the amenities we needed, responsive host, easy to access and private. Beds were a bit hard, but otherwise nothing negative
- Krystal (10/5): Exceptional - Erica was amazing, very attentive, and helpful. She definitely puts out great vibes. Amazing place, and my family and I loved it. The extras were a bonus! Thank you again, Erica!
- Piotr (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing host, amazing place. Clean, spacious and very comfy! The host is very friendly and welcoming ❤️. Highly recommend!
- Keith (10/5): Great place! - - Towels, shampoo, body foam provided
- Kitchen provided with microwave, dishwasher, cutlery, kettle, coffee machine.
- Beds are comfy with extra sheets
- 1.5 toilets
- Value for money (paid for around 145 per person for 3 nights)
- Stayed with 4 people (me included). Enough space for us.
- The host was very friendly and kind Just a little far from vancouver attractions so you have to drive or uber.
- Neele (10/5): Exceptional - The appartment was great. We were absolutely happy with this booking. We can highly recommend this place.
- Christine (10/5): We’ll be back! - Everything!
Location was awesome and central to all the parts of Vancouver we had to travel to.
Hosts were so flexible as what was supposed to be a fun vacation for 2 changed when my aunt passed the door before we left and my mom was already down there and we were going to be past the 9pm check in.
Hosts were so thoughtful and had left bread eggs juice and milk for our first breakfast after arrival, which was perfect so we could shop later that day for the rest of our meals
Beautiful home, nice neighbourhood, huge windows & well lit (not all basement suites are so bright)
Hosts very responsive to texts and calls.
My son loved that he could stretch his legs and shoot some hoops before bed since we were doing a lot of driving during the days.
- Tonya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna (9/5): Nice and comfortable apartmant not so far from the city center - Nice and comfortable apartament with a lot of amenities! Even some groceries in the kitchen. Nice and helpful host. A few things which was broken or unfinished. But it was quickly fixed.
- Ames (9/5): I will be looking up Sunrise Suites availability for our next visit to the city! - Our host was amazing! She left a few staples to get by in the morning and there were ample towels and pillows for the whole family. The residence was clean and quiet and close to Pacific Centre! The location also had loads of options for transit if you didn't want to pay a fare for a ride.
- Rose (9/5): Superb - Quiet and cozy
- Fran (8/5): everything was good but the parking and no tvs in any of the bedrooms - location was not to bad i didnt like the fact that there were no tv an any of the rooms, i didnt like the fact that i was not allowed to park in the back, not enough parking that was close to the enough
- Jian (9/5): Superb -
- Stephanie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gabriel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laura (10/5): Comfy! - The house is super clean and comfortable! She arranged every detail perfectly, the house is mega equipped with everything you need, even she leaves some breakfast things in the fridge! We love the place
- David (8/5): Comfortable. Some food was provided which was great - It was a comfortable unit. The location was out a bit far for our liking. We thought there would be a shower in the ensuite bathroom.
- Margaret (4/5): Underwhelming for the price - I can't think of anything that stood out. The noise levels after 11pm. There was music playing until 1130pm that could be heard in half the suite. The beds were uncomfortable, a lot of the furniture squeaked while people sat on them (even from children). Some of the dishes we found were not properly cleaned.
- Betsy (8/5): A great location and apartment for sightseeing Vancouver - The apartment is located centrally from some major attractions such as Stanley Park, Capilano Suspension Bridge and Granville Island. The apartment is very clean, spacious and convenient for a family of four. The owner was very helpful and prompt in communications. She even took care of some groceries for free (eggs, milk, orange juice). Nothing😁
- Tao (9/5): Superb - A car is needed at this location. Three bedrooms are perfect for family.
- Daisuke (10/5): exhaustively - Everything you need for your stay. I got a very loyal following.
- Jade (9/5): Superb -
- Jacqueline (10/5): Everything was great - Kim was wonderful
- Mackey (8/5): Very good - Quite location and suited our needs. Well equipped kitchen and general areas. 2 of the beds were not quite as comfortable as they could be.
- Tina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yang (10/5): Exceptional - Everyplace is so clean and comfortable, we have good sleeping and laundry. Thanks a lot, this place is very wonderful stay place in Vancouver.
- Elizabeth (8/5): Very good - lovely kitchen , use of laundry , plenty of space . a little far out for downtown if you don’t have a car , there are shops but a good 15/20 min walk away .
- Goffage (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rhino6659 (8/5): Pretty and very accessible suite near PNE - The space was nicely decorated. It has a great sitting area with TV, books and games.
Kitchen was well equipped and the host gave complimentary breakfast foods in the fridge.
Location is good, close to the PNE. It was a little cool, but the host put up the temperature right away when we asked.
- Ann (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our time! - Good comfortable accommodation, perfect for our family, very close to public transport direct to downtown. Nothing
- Angela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christine (9/5): Superb -
- Shari (10/5): Fabulous - All the little extra like milk and eggs in the fridge were a very nice surprise. The place was very comfortable and felt like a home away from home. The only thing I can think of was we had no control over the temperature, but that was not a huge deal.
- Judie (10/5): Stayed here for work. Perfect! - Location and amenities
- Tiana (10/5): Cozy, comfortable and a very accommodating host. - Stunning and very comfortable suite, well equipped kitchen (lightly stocked with essentials- fantastic for travellers!) and a very accommodating host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
- Niamh (10/5): Lovely stay! - We had a really great stay here and Kim was an exceptional host and always at hand to help us with anything we needed! We had a car so it was great to have free parking available to us, we didn't make use of any public transport so not sure how convenient it is from the apartment, but you are not too far from downtown or North Vancouver. We had everything we needed and apartment was nice and warm during the winter! Any issues we did have were quickly and resolved thoroughly, so we were very happy with our stay overall, thanks again Kim!
- Jolene (10/5): Spacious, modern, clean and has everything you need - The extra food and coffee were a nice touch. Also, being dog friendly and access to laundry was much appreciated. It was comfortable and felt like a temporary home A bit of traffic noise in the front room, since it's on a busy street.
