• YUKI (9/5): もう一度行きたい - ホテルのスタッフがとても親切で夜はナイル川対岸のカフェに連れて行ってもらいました また部屋もロッカーがあってよかったです。 特にありませんが、初日にエリア全体で水道が止まってシャワーが浴びれなかったのがしんどかったです 2段ベットの上で柵がなかったのが少し怖かったです

• Linda (8/5): Gute Unterkunft - Sehr bequemes Bett, total zentrale Lage und trotzdem fand ich die Lautstärke im Zimmer (Doppelzimmer) sehr ruhig und hatte einen guten Schlaf. Wir haben erst sehr spät eingecheckt, als die Rezeption nicht mehr besetzt war aber das hat wunderbar funktioniert. Bei der Ankunft gab es keine Handtücher im Zimmer und als Decke gab es nur eine Wolldecke, die eher ein Überwurf war, eine einfach Decke hätte gereicht und wäre angenehmer gewesen. Die Toilette bzw. Das Badezimmer sollte sauberer sein, pro Etage gab es auch nur eins, weshalb man öfters warten musste.

• David (10/5): If I come to Aswan again I will stay here. - The Wanees Hostel is located in the heart of the old downtown area. It’s a very nice place to stay at not only for backpackers. The facilities are sufficient they got lockers in the dorm rooms where you’re supposed to use your own padlock that I find to be the best option how to store your stuff. The staff keeps the place very tidy. I’ve stayed at lots of hostels all around the world but the approach to all customers was extremely unprecedented especially from Hassan the guy working at the front desk. He apparently does his best to keep a good reputation of the place also always willing to help with everything even beyond his job duties. This everything made me stay such a longer time than I had planned.

La stanza è pulita, i letti molto comodi. Se cercate una sistemazione non costosa direttamente dentro al grande souk di Assuan, questo è il posto giusto per voi. Per il mio prossimo soggiorno ad Assuan ritornerò qui, mi sono trovato molto bene. La struttura ha soddisfatto tutte le mie aspettative
• Gabrielle (8/5): Nice little hostel central location - My double room was lovely with comfortable bed and vibes. The staff are great and helped me book a hair appointment! (hard to find for women in a Muslim country) and they also booked my Abu Simbel tour. The stairs outside and up but just ignore the entrance. It’s fine inside.

• M. Heyd (10/5): - Very good experience at Wanees Hostel. Our flight arrived very late, so we checked in around 1 a.m. in the middle of the night, which was no problem at all. The staff was very friendly and everything worked well. The beds were very comfortable, and everything was very clean. The next morning we had to leave early, and later I noticed that I had forgotten my watch at the hostel. I contacted them afterwards, they checked the room, found it, and were very helpful in returning it to me. I really appreciated this. Very honest and kind people. I would definitely recommend this place. There was no elevator, so I would recommend going to the reception first when you arrive and asking if someone can help with the luggage.
• Stephanie (10/5): Perfecta parada - La habitación estaba perfecta, una cama cómoda y con aire acondicionado, todas las instalaciones estaban limpias, está justo en el mercado pero no se escuchaba nada. El hostel esta en la entrada de una tienda de vestidos, me costó un poco encontrar la entrada, pero si miráis hacia arriba se ve el cartel. El chico de la recepción fue una persona súper agradable que está aprendiendo español. Y nos ayudó en todo lo que necesitábamos.

• Emelina (10/5): Comfortable and the staff is amazing - The rooms are cozy,well designed and comfortable. The staff is beyond helpful, will help you with any trips you’re planning and your stay in Aswan. Hassan really made such a memorable experience for me o felt like I was at home :) They made breakfast a couple of days (not the normal but I feel lucky they did) that was incredible. Hassan and Mena are so lovely and kind. Hassan planned a couple of group outings on a boat and to a restaurant with others staying at the hostel that were really fun. The cleaning crew is top notch. If you go, make sure to hang out with these two gems of humans who work there!! Credit card fees aren’t clearly stated.

• SAEKO (10/5): スークは必見、アスワンは居心地がいい - アスワンのスークは、私はエジプトで見た中で最もエキゾチックで写真映えするお店がたくさんある感じがします。 このhostelはスークの出発点にあり、車が通行できないエリアにあるため、夜遅くでもスークを安心して見て回れます。ハンハリーリよりも断然買い物しやすいです。ナイル川散歩も、緑が多く新鮮な空気を感じられます。 ドミトリーに泊まりましたが、とてもクリーンで快適です。お茶とコーヒーも用意してあります。

• Leonardo (10/5): Ottimo soggiorno ad Assuan! - Si trova nel centro di Assuan, proprio nel cuore del mercato, nella migliore posizione possibile per esplorare il suq (aperto e vibrante a qualsiasi ora). La posizione è quindi ideale, a 4 minuti a piedi si raggiunge la strada principale, con i taxi e i minivan per visitare le varie attrazioni di Assuan, e dall'altra parte ci sono i ferry per l'Isola Elefantina e per i vari villaggi nubiani dislocati lungo il Nilo. Lo staff è molto cordiale, il prezzo buono, i letti comodi ed è facile da trovare. Le stanze sono pulitissime così il bagno, acqua calda a disposizione, tutto perfetto. Ritornerò. E' stata una esperienza ottima, l'unica cosa è che se avete il sonno leggero, chiedete di soggiornare nel lato non affacciato sulla strada dove c'è il souk, solo per una questione di migliore insonorizzazione.

• Mohamed (10/5): Of course i will back again - I had a good stay at this hostel. The place was clean and the room was comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is good and close to transportation and services. The price is reasonable for what you get. I would recommend it. There is no elevator, but the staff are always kind and ready to help with the luggage if you ask them.

• Stone (8/5): Clean, friendly, centrally located -- Great value! - Wanees Hostel is centrally located in the heart of the old market in Aswan. It's not easily visible from the market, which is why the attendant was kind enough to communicate with a picture of the entrance area. I stayed in the 4 bedroom men's dorm for two nights. The first night I had to settle for a top bunk, so not so convenient. But the attendant allowed me to move to a bottom bunk the second night, which was a lot more convenient to access my luggage when I had it out. All the bunks have a small lamp, access to plugs, and curtains for privacy. The bathroom is clean and there was plenty of hot water. The front desk attendants are friendly and helpful. There was only one bathroom on the floor where my room was, so if other persons were using it, you're out of luck and have to wait. The lockers in the room were quite small, and therefore difficult to store one's luggage/backpacks. They could use larger storage lockers, but I don't imagine that's easy to find in Egypt. There's quite a bit of noise from the market below. It does settle down by midnight, however. It didn't bother me, but do be aware and prepared for it if you are the type of person who is easily bothered by noise. The entrance and stairwell are old and decrepit. It's a very old building, and some of it looks unfinished along the stairwell on the way up. But the hostel itself is clean and well maintained.

Si vous cherchez un emplacement central,  cet hôtel est également fait pour vous.  Si vous aimez partager salle de bain,  toilettes,  cuisine,  cet hôtel est fait pour vous. Si vous aimez 5 étages sans ascenseur dans une cage d escalier sordide ambiance urbex, cet hôtel vous ira à merveille. Si vous aimez ne pas trouver de serviettes, vous etes au bon endroit.  Si vous cherchez une cuisine mais sans couvert ni assiette et de toute façon sans véritable table, foncez. Si enfin vous adorez les chambres sans fenêtre,  cet hôtel fera votre bonheur. Les toilettes partagées

• Hyungong (5/5): - The female receptionist was very kind and helpful. Although the tour they arranged for me was not good, she was still a great staff member. There is no elevator in the building, and the entrance is difficult to find. There is no Wi-Fi in the room. The upper bunk is very high and has no safety rail. There is only one bathroom on each floor. The male staff member often occupies the sofa in the common area, sometimes even sleeping there, which makes it uncomfortable to use the space at any time.

They even invited me twice to have diner with them. The beds are super comfortable, these were by far the best beds I have ever slept in in a hostel. WiFi is strong, which is quite exceptional in Egypt. And the place is super clean. Location is great; right in the souq with all shops and restaurants at your doorstep. In my bedroom (4 bed female dorm) there was not much noise from the street as this room is not situated at the front. A next time in Aswan I will definitely stay at Wanees Hostel again!

• Veronika (8/5): Could be cheaper - Great location, very clean, stuff is very friendly and helpful, they do not cheat. I bought the tour to Abu Simbel with them for a good price. The host Hassan made a cute tour for me around the city Don’t be tricked by pictures)) I booked a single room with a big bed, so the bed sinks in the middle so you can sleep only on the edge. Balcony actually is smth you don’t want to use and the glass is too thin so it’s too noise (perhaps this problem is common for all the cheap hotels in Egypt). I stayed for 2 nights and each I was awaken in the middle of the night by outside noises.

• Yeji (10/5): 강력추천 재방문의사 완전있음! - 위치 정말 좋았고, 일단 무엇보다 가격대비 방이 정말 깔끔했습니다. 보면 상주 직원이 계속 청소하고 있고, 진짜 깔끔했어요! 기대 이상이었고, 나중에 아스완에 간다면 또 방문할 거에요! 없어요! 다 좋았습니다.

• José (10/5): Recomendo - A localização é boa, você praticamente está perto de tudo e da principal avenida aonde consegue pegar transporte, táxi ou transporte local, o pessoal da recepção também é muito receptivo e atencioso, Hassan te ajuda com o que ele pode, obrigado. O barulho do Souq vai até à 22:30, mas não é grande problema isso.
• Philomène (8/5): - The bed was confortable and it was situated in the center of Aswan, next to a lot of places to eat. It is just next to a big street so it was really noisy, plan to have earplugs ! The bathroom is shared with quite a lot of people so you may need to wait a little.

• Saika Lg (10/5): Amazing place to stay, highly recommended - . The staff were more than wonderful — very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The place was very clean and well organized, which made the stay really comfortable. They took great care of me and gave me a lot of useful information about Aswan, including historical sites and local attractions. They also organized my trips at good prices and kept following up with me during my stay to make sure everything was perfect. Truly a great experience, and I would definitely stay here again. لا شيئ
• Mohamed (10/5): Cozy and lovely and great location - The hosts are so nice, Menna and Hassan are very helpful. The male dorm was good, conssist of 2 bunk beds ( 4 people ) small lockers with different sizes. Bathroom was good. Location is perfect, but not the floor. And though the building is in the middle of Al Saiyda Nafisa local market the dorm room was very quiet at evening. Thanks to Hassan we made a great trip heading to Luxor, passing by Edfu and Esna temples; offered it with a reasonable price. Only that it's in 4th/5th floor. If you have big suitcase it will be a bit challenging... but you can call them to help you out.

• Hamza (10/5): Fantastic! - Hassan was the best host ever! The hostile is nice and cozy, people were generally sociable and down to have conversations, and the hostile was regularly cleaned. The location is in the market, which can sometimes be loud, but it is easy to buy anything you need right away. It is also just a few meters from the Nile corniche which is great if you are looking to visit one of Aswan’s many islands. The wifi was also great!

• Engin Cavit (10/5): - Of all the hostels I stayed at during my 10-day Egyptian vacation, this was one of only two where I could take a shower in the bathroom, and the only smell I could detect when I brought the pillow close to my nose was the scent of cleanliness. Many thanks to Hassan, the friendly and helpful person, for everything. The location is simply fantastic; as soon as you step outside, you find yourself in the famous market in the city center.
• Marc (10/5): Excelent qualitat preu i servei - El hostal esta muy bien, la cama es muy comoda y hay un comedor para hacerte tu propia comida y baño limpio. Lo que sobretodo nos gusto fue la atencion que obtuvimos por parte de Hassan, muy amable, atento y resolutivo. Nos dio varias opciones de actividades y traslado en coche a buen precio. No dudeis en contactar con el y con estas instalaciones .

The rooms are clean, simple, and well-maintained, and the common areas are perfect for relaxing or meeting other travelers. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful they go out of their way to make sure you feel at home and assist with anything you need, from local tips to organizing trips around Aswan. The location is also great, close to the Nile and within easy reach of main attractions If you’re looking for a cozy, affordable hostel with a genuine local atmosphere and great hospitality, Wanees Hostel is definitely a great choice. • Caroline (6/5): Room for improvement - The staff were lovely, and the location in the market by the main road for pick-ups, and the train station was great. Kitchen is small, but stocked with the basics. Directions to the hostel are good, and the photos really help. Signs in the stairwell, and the murals are fun. Not enough toilets. At busy times you might pee your pants waiting for the one toilet/shower on each floor to open. At one point the line was three deep with both showers in use. Strong perfumes, scents on the bed linens. I appreciate wanting to smell nice, but it's too strong for people not used to it. I had to sleep without a pillow because the scent was burning my sinuses, and turn on the fan to try and disperse the smell. The balcony wasn't usable. It's in the dorm description, but it's currently storing shutters, and the view isn't the best. The common area upstairs could use more tables and seating.

• Phatthara (8/5): Overall is fine. The staff is happy to assist you with a big luggage with 50 EGP. - It is located in the souq where you find everything to eat easily. There is only one shower and bathroom.
• KEIKO (3/5): 鍵をなんとかして下さい - 予約したのが個室だったので、部屋が広かっただけが良い。スタッフのめなさんはとても感じが良い。できる人のような印象。 施設に入る為最初の扉は鍵がかかっており、外出から戻ってくるが、鍵を開けるのに15分から30分かかった。スタッフは帰っていないので野宿を覚悟した。共同でトイレとバスタブがあるが、他の客が使用したい時と時間が重なるので、入れない。トイレは我慢できないので別が良かった。部屋には何もない。全てを持参する必要がある。共同キッチンがあり、誰かが置いていったコップなのか、統一性のないものが雑多にあったが、揃っていれば綺麗なのに残念。ホテルはとても分かりにくい所にあり、建物は廃墟のようだった。宿泊施設の階だけ、小綺麗な感じ。Wi-Fiは使い物になりません。他のホテルは夜になるとつながるケースが多かったが、ここは夜中でも全く繋がらな買った。エジプトではesimを購入する事をお勧めします。

• Jennifer Mai (10/5): It was amazing and I definitely recommend. It’s not a 5 star hotel with big rooms and meals. But you’ll get a room to st - The owner is the nicest Mann ever. I had some problems with a trip I booked and he helped me out and used a lot of time on that. The staff is so sweet and caring. It was an amazing stay because of the staff There was a bit scratches around the room and the door to the bathroom was a bit ruined on the side inside the bathroom because of the water from the shower

They organizing tours and transfers to different cities via by bus , also the stuff is helpful and nice Hassan also shimaa一切都很棒，老板Jimmy也非常友善。我很喜欢这里。他们组织旅游，并安排乘坐巴士前往不同城市，工作人员也很乐于助人，Hassan和shimaa都很友善。

• Minjae (10/5): - 시장에 위치하고 있어서 안전했고 핫산을 비롯한 직원들이 너무 친절했습니다. 가성비 좋은 숙소입니다.
• Caroline (10/5): - Wanees Hostel was awesome! Mena is super friendly and helpful, which made everything easier. The beds were insanely comfortable, with curtains for privacy and tons of blankets. The women’s room doesn’t have a window but has a second door that opens to the outside for air, but that means it can get completely dark at night— a huge plus if you love blackout-level sleep. Location is perfect—right on the main shopping street but in a calmer, less tourist-aggressive spot than other areas. A really comfy, convenient, and welcoming stay. Heads up: it’s on the 3rd floor (4th if you count American style) with 66 stairs and no elevator, I didn’t mind.
