Mini kleiner Fernseher.

- ad (8/5): - Het ontbijt was goed.
- Aggi (8/5): Full of character and charm. - Traditional, historical manor house that reminds of yesteryears in a good way. Excellent location close to town but nature as well. Run by a lovely family. Just beautiful and very relaxing!

- M. (9/5): Perfect in every way! - Amazing hotel, with super rooms, specially when you - like we do - love historical buildings. The staff is very, very helpful, breakfast a delight, parking very easy and we will be back as soon as we can!
- Bert (8/5): Very good -
- Laura (8/5): Beautiful views of the surrounding hillside and town - The Family room was big with lots of space to spread out for the 4 people in our group. The bed was very comfortable. The room where we stayed could have used more decor: pictures, pillows and accent pieces. More variety at breakfast.
- Lea (8/5): Very good -
- Emma (10/5): A beautiful antique villa - We had a large room in the beautiful antique villa. We got a room with an amazing view and could watch the New Year's fireworks right from the terrace of our room. Breakfast was rich, served in a nice vintage-style room. We would definitely return!
- Fidelma (8/5): Very good -
- Yichen (7/5): Good - Ok for an overnight stay.
- Ramdane (8/5): Perfect stay - Staff was very professionnal and polite, nothing more to say, very perfect. Breakfast
- David (9/5): A great place and value for money as a stop over en route to Central Europe. - The breakfast was excellent and more than one would have expected. The evening meal was also good. The hotel was a villa built in the mid 1800s and has real character. It was very clean and well appointed. Nothing
- Thirza (7/5): Despite minor drawbacks, our stay in the luxurious suite offered a charming ambiance, thoughtful accessibility, and dedi - We opted for the more luxurious suite during our stay, and overall, it provided an appealing experience with a few minor drawbacks. The suite boasted an aesthetically pleasing ambiance, offering a sense of cleanliness, albeit with some occasional encounters with small insects.
Upon entering, we found the suite's location outside the main hotel building but still connected, which made it conveniently wheelchair accessible. The staff made commendable efforts to accommodate our needs, providing thoughtful additions like a lower shower head and a shower seat.
While some staff members were proficient in English, there were occasional language barriers. However, their genuine dedication and willingness to assist overshadowed any communication challenges we encountered.
The breakfast options were somewhat limited but adequate enough to enjoy. It might be worth noting that the ongoing renovation in the main building suggests that the hotel management is actively addressing any previous concerns, which is a positive sign.
The location itself is delightful, evoking a quaint mountain village atmosphere with its picturesque surroundings. The presence of steep hills, unusual for visitors from the western part of the Netherlands, added to the unique charm. We were pleasantly surprised by the encounters with various wildlife, including mountain goats and playful squirrels.
Overall, our stay in this scenic getaway provided a comfortable experience with only a few minor areas that could be improved. The suite's allure, the staff's efforts, and the enchanting location make this an enticing choice for those seeking a tranquil retreat amidst nature's embrace. The cleanliness of the rooms, on first impression, appeared to be satisfactory. However, upon closer examination, there were a few areas that called into question the thoroughness of the cleaning process. An example of this was the presence of what looked like sawdust beneath the bathroom door. This oversight might cause some to question the overall cleanliness of the room.
Interactions with the staff revealed a bit of a language barrier, as it was noticeable with approximately a third of the team members. This sometimes made communication a bit more challenging.
The hotel was surrounded by scaffolding, which somewhat detracted from the ambience we were anticipating. Unfortunately, there wasn't any prior notification about the ongoing construction around the property, which could have set expectations better.
Regarding the presence of insects, it was a bit of a letdown to find them in various parts of the room. While it's understandable that complete insect control might be challenging, it's worth mentioning for those with specific concerns about such matters.
- Dorothee (7/5): nice hotel/restaurant -
- Miroslav (1/5): Bad -
- Frank (10/5): Step back in time and become a Graf! - Take a step back into history, this Villa had such a nice ambience. Entering the hotel, one was met with a well appointed view of how a Villa would look in the late 1800’s, but in excellent condition. It was really nice exploring the hotel and seeing all of the antiques, but interesting enough the hotel was all original wood work on the floors and walls. After a long travel, we ate in the hotel restaraunt. They had a modest selection of foods, but the quality of the food was so good that I wished we could stay a few more nights, just to try everything on the Menu. The restaraunt decor was so nice with the wooden walls intricately carved and decorated. If coming to Diez, this is the place to stay.
- Maria (5/5): Passable - the house was nice and parking very convenient the staff didn’t even speak English and were not helpful at all. the breakfast selection was very poor.
- Woolley (5/5): Passable -
- Carol (8/5): Very enjoyable: cheerful staff, good food, large room and genuinely pet (dog) friendly. -
- Martin (8/5): A lovely experience. - The most elegantly-presented and adequate hotel breakfast we had ever enjoyed. The exterior aspect of the Villa was lovely and the semi-rural location was charming. Fortunately, the trees seemed to be surviving the drought - but the back lawn where dining tables were set had suffered dreadfully. The food was prepared to a high standard and the portions were huge. Drinks were not over-priced.
The room and bed were very comfortable - new floor, good wardrobe, tea-making facilities, electrical points adequate. The extractor-fan in the bathroom was not working - but this was a problem for the owners, not us.
The building had an interesting history.
All the staff were very attentive, helpful and friendly.
The location was very near to Limburg - which was accessible by public transport. The city had abundant car-parks - even near the lovely Cathedral. Some of the more public areas were pretty dirty; this may have been because of staff lay-offs during Covid. The building had suffered from neglect inside - probably with the previous owners. Window-frames and paintwork were due for attention and the stair-carpet was quite worn, though not dangerous.
The semi-rural environment meant that we had some unwelcome visitors - small mosquitos, wasps.
- Keith (8/5): Very good -
