- Rebecca (8/5): Comfortable and relaxing cabin with beautiful views - The cabin was very comfortable with high quality furniture and amenities. It was in a beautiful location and the hosts were very helpful with any issues that arose.
- Douglas (10/5): Great place to stay. Would stay there again. -
- Susan (10/5): - We arrived and were greeted by the friendly dog Ali and a very affectionate cat. We had a very comfortable sleep and enjoyed our stay. It's a great location with lovely views, close to Croagh Patrick and some fabulous beaches. Would highly recommend and I would stay again.
- Rasa (10/5): - Lovely cabin to stay, there was everything we needed, views outside just gorgeous.
- nanette (9/5): - Clean, cosy and quiet
Friendly and helpful host, Mary No basin, just in the bathroom, to rinse cups/plates
Maybe a slightly bigger fridge
- Gilles (8/5): Confortable et au calme - Idéal pour passer la nuit!
- Christopher (10/5): Well kept and everything felt new, very comfortable, quiet, peaceful and great value as well. - Lots to love with this place - so well kept, warm, and toiletries/coffee/tea/kettle/tiny fridge/hairdryer all provided plus some extras (thank you!). I loved the kitty who came to say hello and get a cuddle a few times. I didn't expect such a rural location but that's what made it so great - amazing views of mountains all around. Easy check in and out, the host was very quick to respond if needed. It was a great location if you're looking to explore a few places, close enough to the coast and some big hikes. Nothing!

- Anastasija (10/5): - The cabin was just perfect, cosy, warm, well heated and in a quiet location perfect to get away from a busy life in town. It has everything that you need to stay in there. The host was absolutely lovely and fast to reply if any questions were there. Little cat was a great bonus to the morning.
- Ben (10/5): - Lovely stay cabin was perfect, location was beautiful would definitely recommend
- Sionna (9/5): - Beautiful location, very quiet and lovely scenery.
Responsive host, but felt like we had the place to ourselves (with the addition of the resident dog Ali the retriever who gave us a very warm welcome and got on well with our own poodle).
- Paul (8/5): -
- Kozlow (7/5): - Very cosy and quiet. Bathroom was a bit cold as it was exceptionally cold on the night. We appreciated the lovely Christmas cake and sweets. Would stay again but in summer time. Lack of heat in bathroom.
- Patrick (8/5): - The sunset and the ocean view.

- Shauna (10/5): Perfect for our needs - It was a cozy cabin. The owner had the heat on for us as we arrived late in the night. The bed was very comfortable. Toiletries were generously provided. They left a few snacks for us which was a nice touch! It was the perfect stay. We really enjoyed it. N/A
- Halton (9/5): - The Country Cabin was a cute & cozy little place to stay for a night. Marie was so lovely and helpful in everything we needed. We could bring our dog with no extra fee which we appreciated a lot. The location is incredible. You can see the mountain ranges around and Croagh Patrick from the other side. It's also just about 10 minutes from one of our most favourite beaches at Old Head. We loved our stay and will come back. Thanks to Marie for everything!!! It was a tad bit tight with a big dog but that was clear from the photos and reviews. We didn't mind and made the most of a great place.

- Beatrice (8/5): - L'host molto disponibile. Ci siamo trovati mediamente bene
- Sandy (10/5): - What a treat, this cabin is nestled in the country amongst some stunning scenery. We thoroughly enjoyed our eve here making use of our host's tips for a Croagh Patrick summit and other available information.
Ali the dog was lovely - stopping by to say hello in the morning.
- Marta (9/5): -
- Elbeth (10/5): Very relaxed - So quiet and peaceful yet with the security of a family just behind the cabin. Nothing
- Erzsebet (9/5): Superb - Maria was amazing,so welcoming, helpful with tips for things to do in the area
Every day left us chocolate
Highly recommend this place
- David (10/5): Exceptional - 10/10
- Daly (10/5): Exceptional - The cabin was super it was spotless. We loved everything about the place it was so cosy and peaceful. The views were outstanding. Mary was an absolute pleasure to deal with along with their dog Ali she was a joy to be around. Everything was perfect overall.
- Antob2 (8/5): Very good -
- Diego (10/5): Lovely cozy cabin close to Croagh Patrick. - Property was replying super quick and made it easy to check-in
- Gillian (10/5): Wee treat after few nights camping - Beautiful little cabin. Spotlessly clean and comfy. Kettle, tea, coffee etc, snacks and filtered water. Hot shower and big towels....what more could you want?! All ready for us when we arrived. Views were absolutely stunning and we had a perfectly peaceful night with a bit of star gazing. Great value. It was perfect
- Katarzyna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (10/5): Perfect location for Croagh Patrick, fantastic host,Mary went above and beyond 😁😁 - Mary left a bottle of wine & 2 wine glasses, chocolate, filtered water, tea & coffee and bowl for our dog.
She went above & beyond to make a very enjoyable stay. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to visit Croagh Patrick. We will be back 😃 Everything was perfect 😁😁
- Vinny (1/5): Bad - I liked that westport was close enough for me to rent a b&b, instead of staying in that closet. I decided to eat the 2 day cost and stay in town. Best decision ever. If you don't have a vehicle, you are stuck staring at the wall. Nothing within walking distance. From other reviews, apparently you can't drink the water
- Martin (8/5): Very good -
- Colette (10/5): Beautiful location and a great place to stay for a lovely, memorable trip to Mayo! -
- Ihor (9/5): Superb -
- Andreia (10/5): Warm and cosy place - Everything… I was there in a very stormy day and even that way the place was warm and cosy
- Jennifer (7/5): Good - Cabin was lovely, on the owner’s house property. It was on me I did not look into the reviews in depth, as the water has an odor to it. Fine for showers but the smell I was not anticipating. Lovely views though
- Livancic (10/5): Will book again - Wonderful
Clean
Beautiful
Amazing
- Kdm1025 (10/5): Enjoy peaceful Irish country time - This precious cabin was perfect for me as a solo traveler and provided everything I really needed. Self-accomodating, very peaceful and dark for best sleep I've had in a long time. Amenities and restaurant/cafe locations are within quick driving distance. Westport may have more choices but I enjoyed Louisburgh 74 in Louisburgh (highly recommend their seafood chowder!!). Connemara, Kylemore Abbey, Clifden, Cong, Downpatrick Head, Achill Island and more, all easily accessible from this location.
You can't go wrong here, especially if you are a solo traveler. Mary checked on me daily to make sure I was comfortable and had what I needed. Plus, everyone really should be greeted by the friendliest dog and cat when you arrive home (even if it's just your temporary home). Nothing at all. It was perfect for e.
- Heinz (8/5): Very good -
- Nicola (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anthony (10/5): Just brilliant - Amazing welcome, wine coffee tea biscuits chocolate , what more could you want !
Clean warm comfortable
Just brilliant thank you
Will deffo book again Nothing
- William (9/5): Quiet location - Quiet location the milk capsules
- Karen (10/5): Perfect - We used this as a base for 2 nights while exploring the Wild Atlantic Way. Perfect location, remote but easily accessible, cosy cabin with everything we needed. The bed was extremely comfortable and we loved all the little extra touches like the Guinness fridge and the chocolate with the clean towels. Communication from the owners was great, checked on us via message regularly to make sure everything was alright and they were very accommodating with our very late check in (can check in by yourself) and offered a late check out so we could stay a bit longer. We would definitely go back.
- Emma (9/5): Get away from it all cabin … cosy - So clean and cosy, lovely owner and adorable dog
If you want total down time from the world this is perfect as its out right down a country lane , great for climbing Croagh Patrick too
We had two lovely nights. The water isn’t drinkable so possibly advise before hand so more water can be taken (there was bottled water provided but not enough if going on a hike)
Maybe a hook or two in the bathroom 9.5 out of 10
- Barnaby (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ross (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gabrijela (10/5): Great experience - We had lovely time at the cabin. We were climbing Croagh Patrick the next day so it was excellent choice for us, only few minutes drive from the cabin. The weather was very wet and windy but cabin was so warm and cozy. Host left us some tea and games which ended up being great option for the rainy evening. Highly recommend to stay here!
- Sarah (9/5): Superb - Comfy, clean and lovely quiet location
- Elbeth (10/5): Peaceful - Such a peaceful and cosy cabin. I was concerned that it might be cold but it was lovely and there is a heater if needed. It is in a beautiful location and I found it very easy to relax there. Thoughtfully decorated to give privacy but also enjoy the setting. There wasn’t really anything that needs to change. A couple of hooks or shelves in the bathroom would be useful but the facilities were super.
- Noah (10/5): Wonderful, very recommended - Great location, view and wonderful cabin. Dog friendly :)
Owner was so lovely. Nothing! Everything is perfect.
- Kate (8/5): Very good - The peace and quiet. A small fridge in the property would be a bonus.
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - Really cosy cabin in a beautiful location. Maria was really helpful and gave us plenty of great advice for what to do. Really nice touches with snacks left out for us and games. Highly recommend!
- Keira (9/5): Superb -
- Marykate (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joe (9/5): Superb - Beautiful place, great views .
Mary is very friendly and helpful, this is a lovely clean cabin with great views and set in a peaceful location about 10 minutes from Louisburg and 10 minutes from great pubs and restaurants. Nothing
- Cristina (10/5): Breathtaking views!!! - The whole experience from the cabin to the amazing view to the friendliest doggy 🥰🥰 Nothing really not many facilities around like shops
Or anything so stock up but again was nice to be out from busy streets.
- Michael (10/5): A most comfortable, relaxing stay in The Cabin. There were some lovely, thoughtful touches added. - The Cabin is in the middle of nowhere, yet is only a short drive from both Westport and Louisburgh. There isn't a sound to be heard through the night. This, combined with a most comfortable bed, resulted in the best night's sleep that I've had in ages. The whole experience was faultless.
- Laura (10/5): A reason to return to Mayo time and time again :-) - Lovely and peaceful setting. Beautiful view of the night sky, sunset and sunrise (weather dependant).
Close enough to Westport without being in the thick of it all.
Maria elevates this little home from home with her personal touches, who knew how entertaining leaving us Connect4 could be.
I won't stay anywhere else when I'm back this way and I plan to come back very soon.
Also...most comfortable bed I've ever slept in!
- Doane (10/5): Exceptional - Great stay, nice cabin, friendly and helpful host, but also gave us our own space
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
