Guest Reviews
- Deborah (9/5): Arrived late and left early but all was very comfortable, clean and convenient. Wish we could have had time to explore -
- Helen (9/5): Wagtail Lodge is a lovely retreat to stay by the river Wye. The lodge itself is beautifuly maintained and has everything - Well equipped, clean and peaceful Would have liked more natural light inside, but there was nothing not to like.
- Edward (10/5): - All very clean and tidy, hosts very welcoming.
- Susan (8/5): Very enjoyable for a short stay deep in the countryside - Location was excellent but you have to be prepared for 2 miles of single track road. Lovely walks available.
Property was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable If your stay is for any length of time, there is very little storage for clothes available. Some hangars and a couple of bedside tables with small drawers.
Would be nice if there was an outside space available to sit.

- Joshua (10/5): Fantastic! Lovely weekend getaway in the countryside of the wye valley. Could not recommend enough. Great property, very - Wasn’t cramped but still cozy. Nice views and walks around the area. Kitchen was well equipped. Bed was very comfortable. Fresh smelling and instructions for parking and access key was clear by providing WiFi details in a low signal area N/A

- Lane (10/5): -
- Mark (10/5): Cozy and comfortable - Cozy and very clean. The room was kitted out too with lots of utensils, furniture and games too. Very enjoyable
- Donal (7/5): Fitted the bill - Facilities good N/A
- Jennifer (9/5): Lovely class-act Hole in the Wall! - The little lodge is adorable. You have your own parking spot. The bed is comfortable. High class decor and facilities. Remote, private and yet not far from activity! An additional parking or stair light from parking transition to stairs and perhaps a sensor light further along rail at lodge entrances. Sky gratefully has no light pollution-stairs need a little more.
- Rebecca (10/5): Perfect quiet weekend away - The lodge was very pretty, clean and cosy! We enjoyed our weekend and highly recommend it! The location was nice and quiet but had a lovely walk route🫶🏼 The hosts left a traffic cone outside the lodge so it was easy to locate too. Thank you! There was nothing we didn’t like, we enjoyed our stay :)
- Benjamin (10/5): amazing i want to come - everything i want to come back again amazing place daft question there is nothing to dislike
- David (10/5): -
- duncan (10/5): - Ease of check in. Location. Cool place Nothing
- Lane (10/5): - The lodge was lovely, lovely location, good facilities. While the location was lovely, its narrow country lanes to get to it.
- Maria (9/5): - Great facilities, fab compact kitchen, homely characteristic decor, comfy bed / linen & peaceful location. Loved the artwork 😊 Designated parking next to the property. Would have been better if it was warm when we arrived but just positive feedback ( didn't take long to warm up) However we did book at short notice so no issue.
- Barbara (10/5): A beautiful accommodation for our quick stopover offering fab facilities. - The property layout was spacious and well thought out. Nothing
- Hayley (9/5): Amazing stay. Home from home - The cleanliness and facilities were amazing. The hosts had thought of everything and we had a lovely stay. The only thing we could comment on was the Duvet on the bed. It was too small for the size of the bed. It may have ruined sleep if we were any larger people.
- Emma (10/5): Overnight stopover - Very clean, very well equipped. We have only stayed for 1 night but could stay for a week. Its very quite at night and dark, which we like Nothing
- Julia (8/5): -
- Lynn (10/5): - Lovely cottage, very peaceful. Well equipped kitchen. Would have liked to have stayed another couple of nights but it was already booked.
- Shane (8/5): Lovely lodge, shame about fridge initially and door lock. - Very good location to get to the river The fridge on arrival has something inside and was sticky, we had I clean it before use. The door lock was difficult to get open on a couple of occasions, was met to look I into the issue
- Chrissie (9/5): -
- Kaylie (10/5): - A mazing stay in a beautiful location ! It was perfect for us and the dog.
- Antenen (10/5): quiet wonderful apt in superb location by the Wye. - location, kitchen (i wish i had something to cook), bed-everything. we hiked a loop crossing the two suspension bridges. long hike on a hot day, but quite enjoyable. the little direction sign was propped up by the road pointing the wrong direction so we missed the turn off. the guy up the road pointed us in right direction
- GLYN (10/5): Lovely clean and quiet accommodation. -

- Sam (10/5): Excellent - Excellent comfortable and clean
- Josh (8/5): Wonderful stay - Comfortable. Nice layout. Roomy and cosy. Great shower. Quiet surroundings. One of the best places I've ever stayed. The 10am checkout was too early
- James (10/5): Amazing stay. - Great and friendly
- Ellie (10/5): we had a lovely stay here and Luke was really helpful and understanding after Storm Bert meant we couldn’t make the trip - lovely clean property, had everything we needed!
- Armarni (9/5): Superb -
- Kate (9/5): Really lovely, cosy getaway. Definitely recommended! - Lovely self contained property with everything we needed, nicely furnished and laid out with well equipped kitchen. This isn't a negative really....It was all great but it would just be nice if you could provide a few of those UHT milk pots/sticks as it was nice having tea and coffee provided but we didn't think to bring a bottle of milk with us - though we brought what we needed for an evening meal and enjoyed cooking that. It is nicely in the 'middle of nowhere' and we went for a very pleasant walk straight from the lodge, but that means there is no walkable local pub to visit or corner shop to get supplies (so just make sure you bring everything you might need).
- Justin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rob (10/5): Lovely place . Wonderful location will definitely stay again when down that way - Was isolated away from noise worked nights slept all day with no hassle of any noice was wonderful Nothing was a lovey plays to stay
