Guest Reviews
- kerry (8/5): Good overnight stay. - Location was brilliant. Comfy bed. Good bar serving a really good variety of drinks. Couldn't get the TV to work. Room was a bit too warm.
- Ulo (7/5): - Didn´t order the breakfast
- Richard (7/5): A good hotel. Fair value for money - Lovely view from the front. Friendly staff. Clean room It looks a little tired
- Angela (10/5): -
- Shaun (10/5): Really good thanks -
- Joshua (8/5): - Excellent breakfast! Friendly staff. N/a
- Mark (3/5): - next to the sea 🌊 it’s needs a big clean out
- Abigail (3/5): Shabby, dates hotel that needs work to bring it up to the standard that we paid for! - Location Awful decor. Wallpaper peeling off ceiling. Mould around end of bath.
Water temperature of shower erratic - went cold after a couple of minutes. Noisy fans outside of room which made sleeping difficult.
- Michael (8/5): Friendly staff - Location was great for our trip, close to the centre and close to where we wanted to visit All good
- Mary (2/5): Very disappointing - Good location on seafront. I didn't like most aspects of my stay here! My ensuite had a shower and loo but no sink. Instead, the sink was in the bedroom on the opposite wall to the ensuite. The bed had a thin, soft mattress, and it was wedged up against the window. The window had a thin blind that didn't keep the light out, and it was chilly. There was no bedside cabinet and no light by the bed. The room needs redecorating. I paid £70 room only, and expected better quality for that price.
- Nicole (6/5): - Superb sea front location.
Very friendly welcome from the lady on the counter and full explanation of facilities.
Bathroom good size and usable though dated and basic. Parking can be limited.
Busy bar on arrival in the evening that was short staffed since the lady who checked us in was covering that too.
Room was dated (reflected in the price)
Two twin beds - one of which desperately needed a new mattress. It was very uncomfortable and dipped in several areas.
Old carpets. Floorboards were creaky and sloped.
Asked about upgrading to have a breakfast - but was told breakfasts weren't on.
Did the job for a quick overnight stay but wouldn't stay for a longer period.
- Stephen (5/5): Great location, great staff, let down by scruffy - Great breakfast and facilities but 8.30 is the earliest sitting and is not early enough Decoration was tired and the bathrooms were very tired
- Marta (10/5): - Miła obsługa

- MICHAEL (4/5): Nowhere calling itself a hotel should be allowed to provide such a poor mattress - Poky little room with the most uncomfortable bed that I have slept in ,in a very long time.
- Sean (7/5): -
- Geoff (9/5): Cheap and cheerful but still a good little seaside hotel - Great location and bingo was proper funny Got told off for eating a piece of toast that was on the table 😂
- Neal (8/5): Friendly staff in good location. - Perfect sea front location. Window painted shut and very warm room.
- Ward (10/5): - Staff were brilliant Curtains would not close
- Sivieri (4/5): Disappointed in property - Staff Shabby throughout
Poor furnishings
Dirty carpets
Mould round bedroom window
Breakfast was extra and poor quality
Staff were very nice and helpful
I think the owners need to invest in this hotel and bring up to standard as it is in an excellent position
- Melanie (8/5): Fun and friendly staff - fantastic location. - The location, the staff were really friendly. Bar was good, pool table. It was great as a base and we will re book.

- ian (7/5): Good for a short stay - Nice and clean rooms
Great sea view room
Rooms. Are dated but that reflects the price People smoking cannabis out side the front doors
You could also smell it on the corridor
- Brown (10/5): - The view and location was perfect. It was clean comfortable the location was so good especially with a child just few minutes from fair and arcades and town. Brilliant view of the beach. The staff were lovely and so helpful aswell and very welcoming. The rooms were very big and very clean aswell. Really enjoyed our time there. The only problem I had was the bathroom door as it didn't close properly and when it does it did take a while to get out as the door just wouldn't budge. That door does certainly need to be fixed.
- Catherine (10/5): Brilliant stay, right in the middle if you want beach/ town / quiet / good food - Close to beach, town
- Nina (3/5): Awful. - The location is perfect Aged, wallpaper coming off walls, tiny mirror in bathroom
Walls are paper thin and could hear everything from other rooms
- Amy (4/5): Overall I wouldn’t recommend the hotels purely for the state the room was in, which is such a shame because the location - The family room was a good size, the staff were incredibly friendly and there was a good atmosphere downstairs in the bar area. The family room was nothing like the pictures. Incredibly dated, broken tiles in the bathroom, the carpet didn’t look clean and was ripped/ coming up from the door-bars, there was a hole in the internal door between the bedroom and the bathroom. No see view as advertised. The room itself was a letdown and is not fit for purpose especially for £150 per night. It was such a shame because downstairs in the bar / restaurant area were lovely friendly staff, beautiful views, a great family atmosphere but the rooms themselves really let it down and would stop me booking again.
- McKeown (1/5): Manager disrespectful - The staff apart from the manager where amazing The manager was a complete disaster i tried to help him with a problem and he just shot me down he shouldn't be there
- Julie (10/5): Gem of a place - Made to feel very welcome by the staff. Decor could do with updating
- Samantha (10/5): Pleasant stay in an ideal location with friendly staff - Room was very clean and comfortable and had everything I needed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was very close to where I needed to go in the morning g, saving me a lot of time. Some of
the other guests were A bit loud.

- STEPHANIE (7/5): Perfect location for a night away, just remember your earplugs - Location was perfect, views were amazing Unfortunately there were a number of very loud guests who woke us all up in the early hours of the morning. Staff upon arrival didn’t really inform us of where to go or what was available on site….assumed we knew.
- Loránd Veres (8/5): -
- Keeley (10/5): -
- Lane (8/5): - Very friendly staff
- adrian (9/5): - Friendly staff, clean room Rooms abit dated
- Burns (10/5): -
- Helen (8/5): Relaxing stay in beautiful location - Great location with sea view. Room had been recently renovated. Staff friendly With it being off season bar closed early so got back to hotel too late for a drink
- Paula (10/5): - Perfect location.. Friendly, hospitable. Great view Loved it all
- Paul (10/5): -
- Kateobrien (7/5): -
- Michelle (6/5): - Lovely clean room , fresh towel s tea n coffee great price lovely hosts , and fabilous location across from beach and minutes away from train station . Breakfast was good apart from seasoned mushrooms , down to personal choice
- Ashley (8/5): -
- Stephen (6/5): Staff superb. Room was ok - Location, views Bed was uncomfortable. Room layout
- Alison (8/5): - Staff super friendly Mattress on the beds thin and cheap no sleep springs coming through, no bedside light or table had to walk across room for light and put stuff on floor, bathroom light didn't work
- Paul (8/5): -
- Marie-ann (5/5): Lovely view - Great view lovely staff No we’re robot clothes needs updating decor
- Eileen (8/5): -
- Jason (10/5): -
- Emma (8/5): Ideal location - Great location Rooms are looking a but tired but it was clean and the for the price we paid we wasnt expecting much
- Pauline (9/5): - The view was amazing. The manager was really helpful and changed a room we booked for a room more suitable for my disabled mother.
- Therese Wallace (7/5): Great location for a short stay - Very good location. Kitchen was not open but it was out of season. There was a lot of noise from other rooms.
- Krzysztof (10/5): -
- Ben (8/5): -
- Heidi (7/5): Helpful, pleasant staff. Nicely situated hotel right opposite the sea. - The view and the staff. Access for wheelchair users.
- Tina Pickup (6/5): Good - Good location and view was lovely. Peaceful until someone slammed a door at 4am Bathroom needs updating very outdated and falling apart in some places
- Andrew (4/5): Quick overnight stay. - This is the best hotel I have stayed in in Barmouth. (Also the only one) Parking, noisy bathroom fan, bed linen, cold, decor outdated and curtains didn’t fit the window.
- Karen (5/5): Would not stay there again - The location is the only good thing I can say. The room we booked was not the room we got, we had to go and ask for toilet paper as there was none in the room. Will not be booking there again.
- Lindsay (7/5): Comfy room in great location but shower could have been better - The location was ideal for my trip, the room and bed were comfortable and the whole thing was good value for money. The room was very warm which is important for me as I'm always cold and it was toasty in there so that was good The shower unfortunately was a trickle of boiling hot water that I could not fix by fiddling with the dials. This was disappointing as I was there to drum on the beach with Batala Bermo so was looking forward to a nice warm shower afterwards.
- Louise (7/5): Did the job for one night stay, didn’t opt for breakfast. - Good location, clean. Noisy corridors at night. Room needed some upgrading, bedside light had no plug socket, had to trail lead across floor to a plug socket and put on floor to use. Sealant around bath looked discoloured/mouldy in patches. Shower was warm but not hot. Mirror was unframed and just propped up loose on a cabinet.
- Kubala (8/5): -
- Skye (7/5): -
- Kevin (4/5): North Wales Hospitality - It was on the beach front, that was nice. Upon arrival we were quickly told everything was unavailable due to it being out of season, which is fine and understandable. However, we were also not told important information about the hotel like if the bar was open or if we could use the games room: both seemed to be open but we guessed were just for mates of the owners, so we just made our way into town which is close by. We had to figure out for ourselves things like wifi and how to adjust the heating, which again is fine but also made us feel a tad unwelcome. Also the room was unbearably hot for much of the night and we only figured out that we could turn down the radiators in the early morning, so again it would have been good for basic information to have been provided. We were also told not to use the car park at the rear of the hotel and to park on the street which I ignored because it was empty.
The single beds were not standard size singles and are not suitable for adults - had we known this we would have booked elsewhere. They also asked for information like my nationality and passport number upon checking in, which I refused to provide because it seemed a bit dodgy.
- Cathy (7/5): Welcoming stay - Great location and great price
- Mathew (10/5): -
- Alison (7/5): - Lovely staff, hotel nice Mattress in room bad didn't sleep, no hot water , sink in bathroom dirty paint peeling off the door carpet thread bare in some areas of the room loose wires hanging down, had to buy milk and sugar as was not replaced by staff
