- Caitlin (10/5): I only stayed here for one night, it was a group of 10 people, and we wished we stayed longer. There was more than enoug -
- Helen (10/5): Very homely environment and clean . - Beautiful house and location , host Sam was very accommodating on arrival and explained everything clearly . Would definitely stop again when working in the area
- Chloe (10/5): - The house was absolutely gorgeous, brilliant location and we had the best time for my birthday trip. Could not fault
- Slaine (1/5): - Nothing That I was able to making a booking for the same day then arrived down to the property with young children and got turned away as it was already booked for the same night.
- Alicia (8/5): - Property was very modern, warm and cosy. Perfect location for a family get together. Could of done with more cutlery but other than that everything was great.

- Kellie (10/5): A wonderful stay at a memorable property. - The house is absolutely stunning and maintained to an exceptionally high standard. The rooms are large, welcoming and well furnished with beautiful decor throughout. The underfloor heating was a welcome bonus on a cold November morning! Everyone in our family party loved the house and had a comfortable stay in the large double bedrooms. The hot tub was a real hit and my son loved playing football in the enclosed garden just behind the gorgeous sun room. The host, Sam, was incredibly helpful and even offered a complimentary late check out the next day - which was very welcome with some delicate heads! We were able to arrange a food delivery so didn’t even have to leave. Everyone loved their stay and we wish we had booked for longer. Everything went smoothly from check in, to check out. We all hope to return some day! No issues, everything was fantastic.
- Michele (10/5): Best time! - 10 of us came here for my sisters 40th birthday! Absolutely stunning place, great communication with the host and couldn't fault it! We had the best night! To be honest I was very wary after reading some of the reviews from people but we had nothing to worry about! Yes it took a few days for our deposit to be returned as the host needed time to return to the property to check we left it as it was but that was explained to us and there was never any doubt!
- Rosemary (1/5): There is nothing to write...we didn't get into property as host did not meet us to let us in. - I would not recommend booking this Property. Host did not turn up to let us into the property. He never answered phone calls or messages. We had to return home having travelled a considerable distance and thus our plans for the weekend were ruined. Also another group turned up to the same property. They had also 'booked' the property on Booking.com. Still waiting to hear from the host!
- Trevor (6/5): The guy is a scammer Asks for deposits when you arrive then doesn’t pay it back - Its Location to where we were working The guy who owns it
He sent me a txt asking if I wanted to use the hot tub and if I did the cost was £100
Nothing in the booking T&C about this cost!
Then had a txt the day we arrived to demand a deposit of £250 or we would not be allowed to stay Again nothing mentioned when booking or in the T&Cs
Now refusing to give the deposit back
He lives there and moves out when you check in
Very very limited cutlery and no bath towels
- Elaine (10/5): - Beautiful property finished to excellent taste.
Sam, the owner, very attentive to client needs and ensuring we had a great stay at his property.
- Bryn (1/5): Terrible - couldn't access the property - We didn't get to stay there as the host never met us. Didn't answer any messages so we had to find alternative accommodation at the very last minute, Payment has been taken.
Just had a look at the response. Firstly, no one called Alex is involved in this booking. Secondly, the comment on CCTV is totally untrue. We were there and ready to check in. Not only is this host a liar, but also a thief as I have not received any money back for this. I tried calling on numerous occasions on the day of check in, but had no reply. Do not book this place under any circumstances. Its a fraud - also, booking.com have been totally unhelpful in resolving this.
- Anna (10/5): Very relaxing and enjoyable - Property was gorgeous, in a quiet private area surrounded by beautiful views. Host was more than accommodating and made the stay as enjoyable as possible even with me booking super last minute! House was clean and tidy, host met me on arrival and took me around the property which was very helpful. Overall very relaxing stay in a very comfortable, stunning house! Would definitely return.
- Lisa (10/5): - Sam was very nice and helpful! The house is immaculate! It was clean and is a very beautiful home. We felt very welcome and comfortable. Sam contacted us beforehand to ask for a few of our preferences, so that he could accommodate them. We would definitely stay there again!
- Nyrissa (10/5): - 5 of us stayed here in July. The house was immaculate and had everything we could have needed. The host was very helpful, he took time to show us around the property and responded quickly to messages before, during and after our stay. The deposit was refunded without any issues. Would definitely recommend this property to others and would happily book again in the future.
- Joanne (10/5): - An amazing spacious house, well kept, and the peaceful surroundings and views were idyllic. We had to make a late booking after the normal check-in time, after the original booking we made had been double booked on another website. We were in Ireland for the weekend for our sons evening wedding celebration that evening, and this house was the closest we could find. When we arrived, the host was extremely friendly and showed us around the house and explained how things worked, etc. He then left us to get on with our weekend. The day we were leaving, he messaged and offered us to stay over another night for free if needed. Unfortunately, we had flights booked that afternoon and would have loved to have stayed over. We will be back again for sure
- Karen (1/5): A nightmare - The outside and location The unplumbed bathrooms that stank of sewage, the owners food and belongings everywhere, the dead Christmas tree, the prescription drugs, alcohol and used razor blades in the cupboards, the dirty crockery, the mouldy dishwasher, the hot tub that stank of chlorine, the fact that I was told I was grumpy for
Pointing these things out and that he took a deposit of us and still hasn’t returned it even though I’ve still got his keys!!!
- Praveen (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent place for friends gathering, peaceful atmosphere well furnished house mainly great help from the owner during the stay.
- Roisin (10/5): Exceptional - The house was beautiful and the owner was really accommodating. The location was ideal for our needs and the hot tub was a great hit with everyone. I would definitely stay again.
- Julie-anne (8/5): We had an excellent stay - Very spacious and immaculate
- Mcdowell (10/5): Exceptional - We absolutely loved the views and the house it's self was outstanding We couldn't fault our stay
- Pauline (9/5): We stayed here Saturday night for my birthday and we had a fabulous time the host was kind & friendly the house was - This house is beautiful & the views are gorgeous we had the pleasure of a beautiful sunset ….. it’s spacious exactly what we needed .
- Adwell (9/5): Superb -
- Dermid (9/5): Would definitely use again - Only back from 2 nights stay at Gelilah House. We initially went for one night but stayed 2. Sam the owner was quite accommodating upon arrival at the property. As we checked in late on 1st night he allowed for late checkout at 7/8 pm. Any issues we had whilst there he was able to guide us accordingly to get it sorted. It's an amazing house, very spacious and spotless in a wonderful location. Lovely views. All round well worth the journey. Would recommend
- Christine (8/5): Very good - Excellent value for money. Host was tentative. A new business which of course things aren't perfect but host is conscious of it.
- Gabrielius (8/5): Enjoyed the stay, would recommend. - Great place to book, house was clean and spacious, owner was sound had a great time. .
- Terri (1/5): Bad - It was a lovely home but this should be advertised as a guest house not a whole house. The owner lives in the house Owner was making up beds as we all arrived and suggested sharing rooms which was not appropriate. Also offered for one of us to sleep in his daughter’s bedroom which was still furnished with all of her belongings. Owner was hoovering up and making beds while we were waiting to go to our rooms. Unfortunately we left and spent more money staying in a nearby hotel
- Abbie (4/5): Disappointing - House was beautiful nice and clean Was meant to check in for 3pm host didn’t leave the house until after 6:30pm said he just had to finish upstairs and wouldn’t be longer than 15 mins while down stairs he was painting one of the rooms, said to have 5 bedrooms one of the rooms was locked so one of the guests had to sleep on a sofa, host was mopping the floors downstairs and said for us to stay in the living room and not to walk over the floors around the house, a large safety pin was found in one of the quilts stabbing one of the guests in the leg through the sheet, storm caused the a power cut which means when we needed to leave we couldn’t so we rung the host and he said that there wasn’t much he could do because he was in Dublin was told if we wanted to we could walk a mile up the road in the storm to grab a spare key but instead we had to wait half an hour for a neighbour to come and open the gates to let us all out. Also wasn’t stated that if we wanted to use the hot tub it would be an additional £100 along with what we had already paid only did we get told when I had already paid to stay there
Edited it to safety pin but this is the way the owner had contacted me a 21 year old girl regarding a typo
- Joseph (1/5): Bad -
- Milea (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thanisha (1/5): I would appreciate if I can get my refund, thanks - Nothing The owner never allowed me and my friends to stay at the property, and promised me I wasn’t going to see my money. So unfortunately it wasn’t a good experience and I don’t think I will be booking from booking.come after this because there are no ways to resolve issues like this
- Connel (1/5): Bad - The owner didn’t leave the house until 11:30 pm
