Guest Reviews
Merci ///
- Arlene (10/5): Amazing place to stay - Beautiful decoration throughout the property. Comfy and relaxing setting. Amazing views. Peaceful location The only downside is the property is in the shade for most of the day but not really a problem as you have a very short walk down to the loch where you can enjoy a drink or some food at the Boathouse restaurant
- Charlotte (10/5): Lovely short stay - Location was perfect and accommodation was wonderful No internet and tv did not work but this seems to be an ongoing issue . We just played the games provided to pass the time in the evening .
- Katalin (9/5): Highly recommended! A wonderful, cosy place with a lovely Highland atmosphere. PS: If you plan to visit The Boathouse Ki - We absolutely loved our stay! The property was very clean, cosy, and felt so welcoming from the moment we arrived. It really had a beautiful Highland Scotland atmosphere, which made our trip even more special. We felt very comfortable and relaxed the whole time. The only small thing for me was that a pot to boil some eggs would have been useful, but everything else was just perfect.
- Evonne (8/5): -
- Jillian (9/5): Property had a lovely homely feel and had everything we needed for a lovely little break - Property had everything we needed. It was clean and well presented.
Lots of lovely walks close by and the Boathouse restaurant was amazing
- Debbie (8/5): Relaxed and well chilled weekend. - Great views, had everything we needed, so cosy and comfortable. Restaurant 2 mins walk was an added bonus especially as the weather was so bad over the couple of days there. Had loads of choice of DVDs. Loads of places to walk the dog. We got a little lost looking for lodge but one of the workers came to our rescue. Initially wasn’t happy about the Satellite situation, however in the end it didn’t spoil our weekend and Colin was so lovely.
- Louise (7/5): - No WiFi or tv even though we were told it would be fixed for us coming
- karen (9/5): - Fantastic location, very cosy and comfortable, brilliant for the dog. We loved it. Nothing.
- John (9/5): Would defo book again - Great location think a shop near restaurant would work but in all great place Quiet and peaceful
- Allen (10/5): Outstanding Property and Highly Recommended - Property was outstanding, everything was high end and it was cleaned and presented to the highest of standards. Only negative which I was aware of was the Wi Fi almost non existent which meant the smart TV was not usable
- Stewart (10/5): Perfect place to escape from the busy life and unwind. - Perfect location Nothing to not like
- Kelly (10/5): -
- Anna Grace (10/5): It was such a great stay. Everyone felt so relaxed and comfortable. The place overall is quiet it helps clear your mind. - The size of the property is just right for a family of four. The kitchen essentials are mainly my 5 stars because personally, it got what I needed to prepare food. Nothing that I can think of really.
- David (10/5): Fab - Location is perfect, had everything you need, comfy and warm
- David (8/5): Highly recommended - Stringy Rocks is a real home from home. Very comfortable, effective heating and a very comfy bed. Top class restaurant on site only 100m from the lodge. Had trouble with the TV reception which wasn't resolved when by the time I left.
- Matthew (10/5): A perfect place to relax and Paddleboard - Location was excellent and views were stunning . Shower was great. Very stylish interior Nothing
- Stephen (10/5): Great location and facilities. Very clean and very peaceful. - It was no secret - this is a very rural location which made it more attractive. There are quite a few other cabins etc in the park (which is very quiet) yet everyone has privacy. The whole place well maintained, everywhere was very clean - including the debris from Storm Floris on Monday 4 August which was all gone by the Tuesday. There was clear communication about getting the key, inside would be very cosy in the winter and I look forward to another visit.
- Peter (10/5): Friendly environment. - Wide open space and loch activities Could have been warned about booking the boathouse restaurant so we could have pre-booked before arrival.
- Kimm (9/5): -
- Allan (9/5): Very enjoyable. - Lovely location. And very comfortable. Everything provided. And handy restaurant on the site. The toilet seat 😊 That needs to be changed asap. It doesn’t fit the toilet bowl. Bizarre.
- Mats (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing location, lovely cabin, and beautiful scenery. Couldn't be better.
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (8/5): Super comfortable lodge - Very comfortable lodge, a real home away from home. Super comfortable bed. A bit dusty, but after a month without rain even walking on the gravel road on the park caused clouds of dust to rise
- Katrina (10/5): Relaxing stay ..would definitely come again - Stunning location
Lodge lovely inside
Great dog friendly restaurant 2 mins walk Toilet seat not ideal for an adult
- Wendy (10/5): Exceptional - Mum and I loved every single thing. Billy was so patient with an ex Essex girl when she couldn't find the keys right under her nose.
The view was stunning and the lodge was so comfortable, especially the beds, which I was worried about as I have severe back problems.
Would book again. The toilet seat!
- Nick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Scott (7/5): great location - great location plenty to do the lodge was good but could do with a spring clean i really think you need a new hoover
- Nicholas (10/5): Really great lodge, very cosy and in a beautiful location. - Great lodge, very helpful communication from the owner. Brilliant loch-side location. The Boathouse had nice food and the site in general is a great place to stay.
- Yulia (10/5): Exceptional - It was wonderful! Much better than expected.
Easy to find with very well explained map provided.
The cottage was very clean, surprisingly warm (we came in winter), everything and more was provided.
The interior decor is very well thought and tasteful, very home -like feeling, cosy with the beautiful view of the lake.
Local bars and restaurants are very friendly with great food and drinks.
We visited a few of local attractions and had a short walk up Ben Lawers (local mountain) Nothing
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jools (9/5): Great ! - Great location and it was so clean ,cosy and well equipped. Bed a little hard for our liking but of course this is a very personal thing. Maybe a topper could be made available for the likes of us softies?
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent dog friendly lodge
- Jolanta (10/5): The view of the lake and mountains at the same time is something beautiful :)We have to go back - The facility delighted us with its location and secluded place. The house was very comfortable and clean, our whole family felt really good there, we would love to come back there again in another season. everything was very good
- Suzy (8/5): Very good -
- Renata (10/5): Beautiful location for a relaxing stay! - The property was lovely and clean and had e eu thing needed for an enjoyable stay. It is really close to the boathouse restaurant and close to the loch also. Comfortable beds and great communication with the host with all info needed! Thank you!
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (10/5): A lovely lodge in a lovely loation - A perfect base from which to explore this stunning part of Scotland. The lodge was beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean, The whole park is well maintained and the lodges are very private with lots of space around them so that you don't feel overlooked. And the views over Loch Tay and the surrounding hills is simply stunning Our only feedback would be mattress toppers for the beds as they were, for us at least, on the firm side
- Victoria (9/5): Loved my stay, can’t wait to go again. - Tastefully decorated lodge, well equipped with everything you could need for your stay. The site is beautiful, lovely views. The mattresses were a bit hard.
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional - Everything. Weather. Nothing to do with the accommodation. 🤣
- Pavi (8/5): Very good -
- Ciarán (10/5): Exceptional - Very well kept and clean, very scenic.
- Fiona (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alston (10/5): Superb high standard highland lodge, centrally located, just over an hour from the central belt. - Was with group of friends in different lodges, all agree this was the best, worth its 4 star badge. Exactly what you'd want in a highland lodge, lovely traditional touches and finishes throughout, but modern where you'd want, perfect balance. Loved the tartan curtains and armchair. Great power shower, bathroom looked brand new. Bedrooms looked new too, best twin room layout than the others, with in keeping fitted double wardrobes in each with plenty storage, the wife loved the teardrop mirror and unit in the double. Kitchen had all you need including a washing machine! Can do nothing and enjoy the views or enjoy lots of activities, cycle paths, hill walking and water sports on hand or within 5-10 minutes drive. Booked again already, superb lodge on a super site nothing really jumps out, one window pane was a bit cloudy
- Margaret (10/5): Beautiful lodge, beautiful grounds, pet friendly & cosy. Loved it!! - Clean, comfortable, fresh, well equipped lodge, just what was needed for a relaxing break but with amenities on site and beyond if we dared to get adventurous. Has a log effect electric fire that gave a lovely heat and glow without the having to top up with wood or brush out the ashes afterwards. Beautiful views, food in the Boathouse restaurant was amazing, even our dog loved his dinner from the doggie menu!! Was also provided with some essentials so less to transport with us ie hand wash, dish soap, toilet roll, kitchen roll, dishwasher tabs, kitchen/bathroom cleaner, tin foil, baking paper, clingfilm & ice cube bags. A few things we actually forgot we should bring so was well appreciated and made use of.
