• Viktoria (9/5): Bestes Preis Leistungsverhältnis in bester Lage! Top! - Es ist eine wundervolle Unterkunft zentral in Ubud gelegen. Direkt um die Ecke vom Ubud Palace und allen Annehmlichkeiten. Und doch ist es ruhig. Die Besitzer sind so unglaublich freundlich. Man fühlt sich sehr wohl und sie sind immer schnell erreichbar wenn man etwas braucht. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und das Bett sehr gemütlich. Und vor allem für das Preis-Leistungsniveau kann man sowieso nicht meckern! Vergebe 10 von 10! Besucht diese wundervolle Familie in ihrem schönen Zuhause. Leider hat es keine Klima. Das würde es noch besser machen. Aber das wusste ich ja vorher.

L’habitació es molt maca, neta, l’esmorzar te suc de fruita natural, el personal es molt amable! L’Armari va súper bé! El jardí es preciós! No te aire acondicionat, l’aigua calenta funciona a vegades

• Nora (10/5): A lovely stay in a traditional balinese home! - I had an amazing stay! the owners are so lovely and staying in a traditional balinese home is such a valuable experience. I felt very comfortable! The only thing that was less ideal was that the walls/roof are very thin so I could hear the guest next door very well.

Özellikle girişi kapısından bu odaya giderken yerli halk yaşıyor ve çok yardıma muhtaç kişiler. Vicdanen rahatsiz oldum ve çantamı alıp orayı terk ettim.

Excellent value for the money! 😊 The only downside is the soundproofing of the rooms. You can hear everything from the neighboring room through the wall.

Lo único malo era el ruido, se escuchaba todo de la habitación de al lado y de la familia (las habitaciones se encuentran dentro del complejo familiar)

Owner stored my luggage after checkout for free. I had luggage so the owner helped me bring that up the stairs as it's on little bit of slant/stairs.

• Pappalardo (7/5): - La colazione servita all’orario in cui volevi, la famiglia proprietaria molto gentile e la posizione, a pochi minuti dal centro, ma lontana dal caos di Ubud. La stanza era piena di molte formiche, non lasciate i bagagli a terra aperti, noi ce ne siamo ritrovate un sacco nei bagagli e vestiti. In uno zaino purtroppo abbiamo trovato anche una blatta. Se stai più notti non c’è il servizio di ricambio asciugamani. La camera potrebbe essere migliorata con appendini in bagno. Non c’era l’aria condizionata, né porte con zanzariere, l’aria circolava solo con un ventilatore che a volte non era sufficiente per avere una temperatura ideale per stare in camera e/o dormirci.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a sense of calm that made us feel right at home.What really sets Rakarai House apart, though, is the hosts. Beautiful room, beautiful host Eka and family, and street is off the main road of Ubud - walking distance to cafes etc. This was my first trip (and first accommodation) in Bali and it’s left a warm and lasting impression. When I first got out of taxi and walked through gate, my first impression was oh no, what have I booked, because I didn’t know how balinese residential properties looked and are designed / setup lol. Once I got to my room and settled in and understood, I totally enjoyed my stay and after 8 nights I was kind of sad to leave. Being located in central Ubud i’d recommend earplugs for sleeping (I brought from home anyway) as the sound of scooters on the street and roosters and wild critters/birds around the neighbourhood are standard. I was new to homestay and I usually like my privacy but the family are a pleasure to be around and interact with as you choose. They are so easygoing and kind, and a bit fun too. Highly recommend Rakarai House, especially for solo travellers who like their own space but will appreciate the comfort of family sound & dynamics nearby. Nothing at all to criticise. Of course coming from Melb Au, aircon would be nice but I did fine without it. The the ceiling fan works really well, and there’s an awning you can pull down if when you sit outside the room to eat brekky you want protection from direct morning sun.
• Martina (10/5): Just perfect. - We stayed for two nights only because the following days were already booked! It was a wonderful experience. The location is perfect, close to the centre of Ubud but not noisy at all. The people were very kind and they received us with water and a kettle to prepare coffee as well (or water for mate 🇦🇷). Everything was very clean and the room was very comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely delicious too! They also provided us a motor bike to visit the Rice Terrace. Totally recommend ❤️

The rooms is extremely clean, I am very picky and I was a bit scared as it was my first home stay experience but exceeded my expectations. They are so helpful and you feel in family. The sheets are so clean and the rooms smells very good . I wanted to stay longer but they were fully booked The only thing is that you listen everything from outside. But is okay for the price is worth it!!! Love you forever and ever thank you for showing me that stay in a homestay is a blessing ❤️

Good breakfast (banana pan cakes and pineapple juice - but more options were available). Warm shower. Only issue: the family (or a close neighbor) had a rooster, which was quite active in the early morning. so it might not be the best location if you have a light sleep or want to sleep in.

• Zoubeyda (8/5): Very good - The room is very well equipped, qualitative materials and very cleaned as a 3 stars hotel room. The breakfast is very classic (a drink and a n accompaniment) so it’s ok. The hosts are also very nice. The bathroom could be cleaner (e.g. the water sink). Besides, it was unfortunate but the shower water doesn’t evacuate correctly so it’s not pleasant to shower. The bathroom tends to get dirty quickly (insects and other stuffs falling from the roof. It could be also good to put bath soap in the bathroom as there is not contrary to what is written on booking. This is also the case of the check out time, the host should correct it. It is said on booking until 3:00pm which should be according to them 12:00pm. It is important to be in line with what is supposed to be included in the booking.

I recommend you to check out 🍃 - Hosts were very kind with us, rooms kept very clean, located just near Ubud place this is a perfect spot to spend time in center of Ubud! • David (10/5): Exceptional - The room comfort is similar to a 4* hotel. It is in the nice back courtyard of a compound in a quieter location 800m from Ubud main shopping street. The breakfast was good. The host was nice and available Great for a few days stay in Ubud, and attractively priced. Only minus, we can vaguely hear voices from the other room. Still a 10/10 facility taking into account location, comfort and price.

• Emre (6/5): Pleasant - Great location, new and clean facilities and enjoyable breakfast in the morning. Nice family run homestay. Walls were too thin between the two rooms and we had hard times sleeping during most of our 9 day stay. We had neighbours checking in at 2 am, one with a snoozing alarm 5.30 am in the morning on top of hearing every single conversation happening in the other room. For cleaning, you need to ask for additional toilet papers or ask them to empty the trash bin as there is no daily cleaning. The biggest inconvenience for us was that we wanted to shorten our stay from 11 to 9 nights and we asked for it even more than a week ahead, and when we raised the date change over booking they declined our request. We checked out 2 days early and didn't get our money back for those days. Hope booking has a way of tracking that the room is not booked again for the 2 nights we didn't stay.
