Guest Reviews
- Jennifer (9/5): - The provision of a lovely welcome gift and all the little extras in the house and the garden. A nice touch would be a slim shelf under the mirror in the second bedroom for make up etc.
Shower caps? We all dodged the shower. OR ask folk to bring a shower cap?
- Jayne May (8/5): - Beautiful cottage, lovely decor and facilities. Access to the village was through narrow lanes.
- Lucy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chantal (9/5): Delightful! - Beautiful, homely, peaceful and characterful cottage in village close to lovely rural market towns of Richmond and Barnard Castle. Immaculate throughout with quality and tasteful furnishings and decor. Warm and welcoming hosts. Kitchen well equipped and nice to have basics such as tea, coffee and cooking oil supplied. Coffee machine was brilliant! Think a microwave could be a useful addition as well as a larger kitchen bin.
- S (8/5): Good - Spotlessly clean and really spacious. Very quiet. Great ambiance. Lots of helpful pre-travel information and once we got there
The owner popped around everyday. It can be helpful if you like close contact or need someone to check on you Clear glass panels on the door is a see through.
Some points are not about the house itself. The roads going in and out are one lane. One can get quite stuck, especially larger cars or SUV, when there’s traffic from the other direction.
Although the area is great for dog walks, I could not find dog friendly cafes or eateries nearby. We had to go a bit further to find places that allow dogs indoors
- Kathryn (10/5): Exceptional - What a lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings
