Guest Reviews
- Raed (10/5): Hidden from life inside the life - It’s my second time in Kartika and I will repeat it again
- Raed (10/5): Exceptional - I was planning to stay for only two nights, then I extended for another two nights, then another two nights until I completed 10 nights in this lovely place which is inside the woods and close to the city at the same time
Really enjoyed every moment
Thanks everyone I can’t think of anything I don’t like

- Hong Liang (10/5): A chill stay that slows time. - Weather is nice, if you bring enough warm clothing and checked the weather at Lembang.
Fire pit (can play fire!), outdoor scenery viewing seats, cute dogs, cute cats coffee trees and a general homey vibe stay.
Breakfast was provided.
Has a coffee machine and 2 sets of V60 dripper to make pour over coffees.
Zaky helped me send my clothing ~3kg to the laundry at the nearest township! Great hospitality from Zaky 🙏🏻 I used gojek to reach the site and my rider took a route that is full of portholes and some parts of the road had an almost 60° inclination :) Safe to say I'm pretty traumatized by the road that I ordered a gocar instead of gojek on my way down.
There are dinner places walkable (13 min+) from Kartika stay. Despite, reviews and Zaky (host) say that I can order grab food to the location, I decided to walk down instead... Not a great decision as after nightfall the road became very dark, should be safe but I felt uncomfortable :)
- Hamid (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional -
- Avril (10/5): Wonderful experience - I’m a solo traveler and when Zaky opened me the door of the house I immediately felt at home. Such a good feeling after my long trip accross Indonesia.
If I had the posibility I would definitely stay at least 1 week more. This place is so incredible.
I bring back some wonderful memories to France!
- Alina (10/5): Exceptional - The host is particularly friendly and helpful. The accommodation is very nicely designed, clean and you have a wonderful view! It is much quieter and more relaxed than in the city. I would have loved to stay longer!
- Daniel (10/5): Absolutely 10/10 stay - beautiful place, fantastic hosts - A flawless place to stay. Great host, beautifully located house with modern and clean facilities, good equipment and two cosy 4-bed rooms.
Mr Zaky is always friendly and caring, and makes delicious indonesian breakfasts and their own coffee and cascara.
Want to come back already.
Thank you, guys, with all my heart!
- Camille (10/5): Exceptional - Two weeks ago I stayed at the Kartika Lodge and I still regret that I did not stay longer than 3 nights. It is a really beautiful house and the garden and the view are beautiful. Furthermore Zaky is really friendly, funny and helpful. I stayed there on my own and really enjoyed my time.
- Tomek (10/5): Exceptional - Great concept, view and staff.
- Gemma (10/5): Perfect place to relax and enjoy nature! - Everything! Beautiful property, incredible sunrise. The host is amazing! Amazing cups of coffee & yummy food. Cute fireplace, comfy beds & perfect place to relax! Hot springs and nature nearby, woodland setting and the cutest dogs! Really amazing family feel, can’t wait to return! Papaya
- Ray (8/5): cozy family home with the best view and fresh air 👍🏼 - food could be delivered via g*jek. amazing scenery at the back of the house, favorite spot to lay on the lazy chair. it's windy tho so best to bring windbreaker or a warm jacket. staff were very accomodating. would be back to see my adek, lil choco the dog. overall a pleasant stay. car park was not so convenience. haha. maybe you could install some nice grass block so it'd be more comfy (and safety!)
- Maria (10/5): Relax in the middle of nature in a clean lodge - It was clean, the living room was very nice and cozy. The view is amazing. Zaky was very helpful. The location is not on Google maps. The driver was struggling to find the place, had to make phone calls , and at the end, the driver overcharge you
- Rudin (10/5): Rare jewel. Beautiful bed and breakfast. - I cannot mention enough how good this place was. The manager of the lodge called Zaky was an absolutely fantastic host. He catered for all needs, socialised and made a great tour guide. Zaky prepared breakfasts and advises where to get delicious dinner. Besides Zaky makes fabulous barista coffee. The coffee is grown on the property, it's organic and spray free. What a treat.
The lodge itself is beautifully designed, tidy and clean maintained. It's got a homy touch, tastefully furnished and my first thoughts were: this is very inviting. A lovely local lady cleans the lodge every day. This humble home also has a little dog called Choco, a well behaved and quiet puppy. No chance to get past her without a cuddle. She's the cutest little darling.
The beds are little pods, these are equipped with wall plugs for charging devices and a little bedside light. For privacy you can close your pods curtain. The rooms are in new condition, space for bags with lockers underneath the pods. Each bed has clean sheets, cushions and fresh towels.
The lavatories are clean, providing a couple of showers and toilets, hand basins and mirrors plus a few toiletries for guests to use.
The lodge is on a big property that has a green garden with a small sized coffee plantation. You can enjoy a quiet neighbourhood, listen to native birds and if you choose to, watch a beautiful sunrise.
The lodge's location is in good distance to the hustle and bustle of Bandung, which allows you to relax in peace and quiet but it's not too far away to reach all the local attractions or public transport. Commuting is easy, cheap and fast.
I have genuinely enjoyed staying here, without really knowing where I was going. This is a lucky find, a jewel indeed. I hope I get to come back. I wish the owners and Zaky all the best! I didn't have enough time here.
