Guest Reviews
- Schindler (9/5): Rustic slice of Costa Rican paradise - Location right outside of La fortuna downtown- super convenient. You have you own private cabana with a private pool and 2 private outdoor kitchens! It's a beautiful escape!! Bring earplugs because the chickens are super loud throughout the night!!
- B (8/5): Prachtig plekje; basic back to nature!
- Corey (10/5): Family of 6 outside of La Fortuna - The grounds were very big. There is a comfy cabin for sleeping, two outdoor kitchens, pool with a lounging area, and two outdoor patios for eating or gathering. There are a couple of very friendly dogs that will say hello to you whenever they can (they love belly rubs and pets). The kitchens were well stocked. The host is very friendly. We saw a lot of wildlife on the property too. We are really happy we chose this place (family of 6). Overall, it is a great place to stay. Be prepared to time your comings and goings around heavy rain if possible. There is a small, low bridge that spans a river along the driveway. We got stuck on the wrong side of the bridge after a rain and had to wait over an hour for the water level to drop before we could cross to get back.
- Lindsay (10/5): Exceptional - Wow, what a slice of paradise! This place is unreal, and our family of four certainly enjoyed our 4 nights here. The grounds are so lush and we had the best time wandering around. It was fun to cook in the outdoor kitchen for breakfast every morning (just remember not to leave any food outside for bugs/animals to get at). There's no AC, but that wasn't a problem at all. Leave a few windows open and the fans going and we all were comfortable. The showers were not as warm as we're used to, but that was well made up for with this serene spot just 10 minutes out of town. Bring a noise machine/ear plugs, as the roosters like to remind you they're there! Oh, and be sure to stop at Soda Rodriguez for a delicious meal in the coolest location (it's halfway on the way back into La Fortuna) - you feel like you're in a treehouse, and they make everything from scratch, a different menu every night!
