Guest Reviews
- Yassine (5/5): A transit hotel which is good for one night but not suitable a long stay - Private hot spring and nice rooftop restaurant Very loud environment on the streets and the 24-hour accessible hot spring results in loud guests until late in the night. Staff tried to help but did not come across as interested
- mohamed (9/5): - The hotel was located in a beautiful and quiet area. It is the tallest in the area and you can view the mountains. I like that they have their own hot pool so you don't really have to go to a crowded hot spa. The restaurant has a variety of delicious food with scenic views. The staff were friendly and helpful. I give it a thumbs up. Probably will come again There was only 1 hot pool in the hotel.
- Deborah (6/5): It was OK, but not great - The hot spring pool was pleasant. The room was adequate, if a little chilly. I'm sure it would be much better in the season.
Staff were friendly and helpful. The lady on reception in particular was very helpful in finding us transport and a hiking guide. The towels provided were the least absorbent I've ever come across! They just moved the wet around your body,
There was nowhere to sit inside except the restaurant or our room - we were travelling in the rainy season so expected it to be damp and chilly, but had hoped for some sitting space.
We were there two nights - the first night was fine, the second the hotel was full of families which meant loud music until late, followed by children running up and down the corridors noisily at 6am.
We chose it as we wanted to walk up the volcano, and it was close to the start of the hike. However, it was a long way from the town.
- Tetsunori (10/5): -
- Karel (5/5): - Hot springs, restaurant on the roof, greenery. Just cold water in the bathroom (probably a temporary issue). A cockroach on the wall in our room when we entered. A deposit of 200k is required. The staff don’t speak English mostly.
- Kevin (9/5): Good stay to visit vulcano and relax few days! - Good hotel and restaurant was much better than expected after ratings 😊 very close to vulcano, but if you are looking for scooter rental or different restaurants, you have to go to Berastagi. Hotel also organized a driver to Lake Toba after our stay.
- Mohamed Razi (8/5): Good place to escape from city life. Restaurant is open 24 hr. - Hot spring is inside hotel. Temperature of water is not too hot.
- Nikki (8/5): Very good - The hotel staff are very kind and helpful. The geothermal spa within the hotel is great to relax in after a day hiking. The room was really comfortable and clean. Wifi is not reliable but that is the only negative
- Craig (8/5): Very good - Clean, comfortable and great views. Only small items of concern. Coffee at breakfast is cold and need to add hot water. Not sure why. Juice not supplied in breakfast area. Would be nice seeing as the area is a rich fruit growing area.
- Sulastri (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amran (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sia (3/5): Poor -
- Jordi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jurgen (1/5): Terrible - Teribble - very unfriendly. Find another location where you can experience better service.
- Mohd (9/5): Superb -
- Nur (6/5): It was okay. Can improve better - The location is nice. Great view of Gunung Sibayak. The water is too hot, the temperature cannot be adjusted.we stayed on the highest floor and tge water pressure was so low. When we shower, the water pools at our feet. Lastly, during ironing, the electricity tends to to shut off. We need to turn it back on multiple times. Apart from that, everything was great.
- Mageswari (8/5): I melt with the view of nature - The place was really nice , beautiful nature. No lift , no cafe .It's really hard to carry the elderly.
- Feeka (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zachary (8/5): One of the best premium hotels but... - Pariban Hotel is a new modern hotel located near the Hotsprings of Semangat Gunung. It's a good location for those planning on a hike up to Mount Sibayak or a resting place for the weary traveller with its Hotsprings sprawled in this tiny village. As of my last visit, there is still a lot of renovation and infrastructure happening with new villas and roadworks on the way. Despite that, Pariban Hotel has good service staff, spacious rooms with very tall ceilings and essential facilities that makes this stay a comfortable one. Pariban Hotel is fairly new and are still having renovation works for the rooftop garden and lounge area. There are no laundry services in this hotel so be prepared to have your laundry done before coming here or check for any nearest laundry service available.
Be patient with service staff and this is more of a local place and English is not their first language. Google translate helped a lot.
For those travelling on motorcycle, Google maps might give you a "shortcut", through a really spooky forest, avoid that at all cost and go by the main road, Jln Jamin Hinting to access the best and safest route possible.
For those who want to know how to get here, a private taxi or Angkot for the most local experience. Roads and infrastructure in Berastagi is not the best and it will be a bumpy ride.
Overall Pariban Hotel has potential to be a premium hotel when it's finally completed but I did enjoy my stay there.
- Aziz (5/5): Passable - modern design, spacious bathroom Breakfast is not included, need to add on during check in. bed sheet and comforter have pilling. got cockroach in the bathroom. dont have electric kettle in room, water dispenser outside not working
- Khaw (7/5): Good - Own hir springs Location far from center and some Indonesia so call guards collect illegal money at the junction of the road going to the hotel
- Alexander (6/5): Pleasant -
- Zul (10/5): so far good - good view low electrict
- David (6/5): Ideally located to enjoy the volcano and the hot springs - The location at the foot of the volcano, the proximity of Pariban hot springs. The room was clean, the beds comfortable. Refill stations and toothpaste and soap are available. The staff found us a super guide for the volcano and a super driver to take us to Parapat. It's really too bad there is no restaurant and no breakfast included. Especially since the food is not great quality- and quantity-wise at Pariban hot springs.
- Ondrej (4/5): Disappointing - The close proximity of the volcano. 1. That they were not able (at the reception) to arrange transport to the base camp at the volcano. They said that nobody is willing to take us there at 4 am (we wanted to see the sunrise therefore later transport didn't make sense).
2. There were no blanket covers on blankets and the receptionist told us it is all right...
3. Only cold water was running
- Laris (3/5): Poor - It is so far away from town, with the road full of holes and unconfortable journey..the blankets and sheets are bad smell
- Ani (9/5): Nice place and modern design. - Nice place for travel. Good vibes, good place and facility. Shower crack but still usable & wifi so slow.
