Guest Reviews
- Ann (10/5): Perfect location and great living space - Convenient to everything, very clean
- alan (10/5): A very enjoyable 3 day break after a last minute booking - We were travelling by public transport so important to be within walking distance of shops, restaurants, historic places and the lake. All of these were met!
Very spacious and comfortable to 'hang around' there.
All facilities and arrangements top quality Perhaps a small table and chairs would have been useful given the available floor space.
Not the fault of the accommodation, rather the town, but at the time of our visit from Toronto (end of April) there was no public transport available in Niagara on the Lake. Fortunately our host was able to help us identify a taxi to meet up with the GO Transit system at Niagara College.
- Henriette (10/5): This is definitely a place we would like to stay in again! Thanks so much! - We really enjoyed our stay here! The suite was so spacious, clean, and modern, and the location was ideal for walking to town and just exploring. We also appreciated the outdoor space, with comfortable and beautiful lounging areas. The host/owner was also very welcoming and helpful. We would love to stay here again!
- Timothy (10/5): - Clean, modern, with all the amenities you'll need for a comfortable stay. Friendly owner.
- David Orlando Alejandro (10/5): - It is a very nice house with a friendly guest. The location is great
- Maria Kofou (10/5): - Everything about our stay was excellent. The space was beautiful, spotless, and very well organized, with great attention to detail. The location was perfect and made our trip even more enjoyable.
The host was incredibly welcoming, responsive, and helpful throughout our stay. We truly felt taken care of and comfortable at all times.
Highly recommended — we would definitely stay here again!
- Kay (9/5): - Excellent location Niagara on the lake a great place to visit
- Melissa (10/5): Cozy Gem in NOTL - My friend and I were in town for the holiday house tour and were able to snag this truly “gem” of a spot kind of last minute. We stayed upstairs in the Redwood Suite which gave both of us enough room but yet was so cozy especially during this holiday time. Couch was so comfy and lots of room to snuggle up to a Netflix movie and the king bed was big enough for a bestie Christmas weekend away! I would highly recommend for a short or long visit, Darren makes sure his suites have everything you need from towels, extra blankets, toiletries in the bathroom and a small kitchenette which was perfect for the one night stay. Area is not loud and only a few minute walk from Pillar & Post. We will be staying here again and can’t thank Darren enough for making our stay perfect!

- Dana (9/5): Wonderful host, clean and very nice suite and a super town and location! - As the ratings only allow for full points I will say right here that I would truly rate the property/stay more as a 9.5. Lee Anne was an amazing host and the property was in excellent condition and well within walking distance of the charming downtown area. If you are coming from the Buffalo area I would highly recommend crossing at the Lewiston Bridge and using the Niagara River Parkway on your drive to this property as it was spectacular for us on a sunny day in early October.
I would also strongly recommend taking in the town of Niagara-on-the Lake which we really enjoyed as a laid back alternative to staying in Niagara Falls. We had originally planned to stay at the Embassy Suites in a room that would have given us a great view of the falls but parking was both remote and expensive so we finally decided on this alternative and we were not disappointed!
Now for some of our positive comments about the property. We found the king sized bed to be very comfortable and the bedroom had a very large walk-in closet so storing all of your things will not be an issue. There is a light in this closet which brightly illuminates both your possessions and things like extra towels and bedding, as well as a heater fan. Everything is hidden from view by the currently popular sliding "barn" door. There is a high quality fan light above the bed and another remote controlled one is found out in the living area. The living area itself is plenty large, large enough in fact to even include a pool table although I wouldn't personally use it after 9 PM as the noise could be a problem for any guests that might be occupying the first floor rental. My wife and I both found the bathroom to be excellent both in size and in function with a super shower featuring your choice of rain head or a shower wand plus good water pressure. The vanity comes with two very large sliding drawers and a raised sink to complete this great area. As we may pickier than most guests nothing is ever truly perfect for us so please keep this in mind before reading our comments. If you have heavy bags and are older like us you're going to need to lug them up and down the stairs. I am nearly 78 and managed our 40 and 45 pound bags acceptably well (one at a time of course) but I'm in reasonably good shape. Next up you should know that the heating and air conditioning is managed by the owners and this mostly worked well for us since there were two good ceiling fans to supplement the air conditioning. Although our weather was great it did reach 82 on both days so it could have been a little cooler at night for us. Although one can open a bedroom window there was some street noise until roughly midnight and it started up again around 6 AM.
Although there were many ceiling lights in the main living area a somewhat whiter light with greater intensity for reading or other activities would have been nice. In the main seating area there didn't appear to be any readily accessible AC outlets, just one over by two chairs on another wall and another over by the sink. Lastly, on our second night we had lady guests below us and the sound of their talking did tend to carry up into our living room although it was somewhat less in the bedroom. That's about it for our negatives and please remember that we aren't easy to please.

- Harold (6/5): - Too many scents used from the bedding and cleaning products to the plug in air “freshener”. It was overwhelming.

The location is great and the outdoor space is lovely. The owner loves onsite in a separate dwelling. He is friendly and accommodating. You do hear a bit of noise from the guests below.
