- Colin (9/5): Great stopover property - We needed somewhere to stay for one night whilst visiting our son at university. We didn't want to spend too much money and this property was exceptionally good value. It had everything we needed for a quick stopover. Well equipped and clean. Comfortable bed and sofa. Would happily stay here again. There were a few things we felt would have made this even better. Useful to have some hooks on back of doors for coats. Managed to work out TV but some basic guidance for this and heating would help. And some extra drinks sachets, maybe hot chocolate and decaf. But these are all really minor points.
- Chelsea (10/5): Really lovely stay - Lovely, clean space, & comfy accommodations. Easy entrance/key instructions.
- Shelley (9/5): - Great location for where I wanted to be. Happy to see some decent sized towels as usually not suitable for someone with longhair! More teabags and milk please! Maybe a blackout blind on window overlooking parking area as a lot of light coming through quite early in the morning. Other than that, no issues
- David (9/5): - Comfortable & clean
- Shannon (10/5): - So comfortable, private and beautifully appointed.
- Ralphs (10/5): -
- linzi (9/5): Last minute booking was close to were we needed to be - Self contained room with plenty of room the bed was amazingly comfortable lots of entertainment choice on the tv The only thing I can literally manage to find wrong was I didn’t like the plastic cutlery and the tv didn’t adjust towards the bed
- Amy (8/5): Perfectly nice place for an overnight stay: Clean, in very good condition, with a super comfy bed. - Very clean, bed was extremely comfy. There was no info on the instruction sheet re. check-out time. The fridge and kettle were not plugged in.

- Lorna (10/5): - Swallows nest is conveniently located near the bus stop for the service into Nottingham, near the local shop and walking distance to all 3 pubs in the village.
It was very clean and comfortable.
We would stay there again when we visit family in Gotham and would recommend Swallows nest. Could have done with some hand soap in the bathroom and a shower mat.
Also found there to be a lack of plug sockets as when using the hairdryer you are unable to see yourself in the mirror. A small coffee table by the settee would have been handy too.
Apart from these minor points it is first class accommodation.
- Lewis (10/5): Great little spot -
- Patrick (10/5): -
- Jason Carney (9/5): Excellent little annex, enjoyable to stay in - Good private living space, hosts were hands off and had provided essentials at the beginning for the whole stay. Quiet location, relaxing and the room had a little fridge, decent TV, fast internet. The bed was comfortable and remote controlled windows allowed access to fresh air. I stayed 9 nights. The first few nights the shower was fine but after a while it started running hot and cold, frustrating to use.
- Jane (9/5): -
- Rose (9/5): It was exactly what I needed. Warm and comfy - Easy and convenient access. Warm, clean and convenient
- Richard (10/5): Great spacious place with everything you need with walking distance pubs and shop - Great spacious room with everything you need for a relaxing weekend away comfy bed and nice bathroom welcoming host and a good selection of pubs only a walk away from the place plus a little village shop with a good selection for your needs Nothing

- Ginette (10/5): Perfect place for short stay - It's cosy, comfortable, clean and in a very quiet location
Had the best sleep I've had in years!
Will definitely try to book again when I need to visit East Leake again Nothing
- Nick (9/5): Exactly what was pictured and very happy, would stay again no hesitation - Lovely little ensuite room. Clean and comfortable great for singles or couples. Good standard of fixtures and fittings. On arrival in the dark a slightly more visible, specific sign for The Nest would be reassuring.
A more accessible plug with usb charger would be an advantage.
- Gooch (10/5): - The room was very clean and so comfortable
Lovly warm shower. ceiling Windows had blackout blinds. The main window at the found of the room didn't have a blackout blind and let in all the light . Of this window had a blackout blink this room would have been 100% perfect

- Luis (10/5): - Swallows nest is very well put together, the bed is comfortable, the furnishings and bathroom are of good quality and despite it being a small space, it was a comfortable stay! Mags the host is really helpful and friendly, very good communication throughout our stay. I'd recommend it if you have business in the area or are passing by and need a place to stay! All good!
- Keeley (10/5): great stay - Lovely stay with everything I needed - the bed was comfy, nice sofa to relax and watch tv, small mini fridge to keep my sandwich fresh. the location was nice and quiet too, just round the corner from a shop. nothing
- Graham (10/5): -
- Caroline (9/5): -
- Tina (10/5): - Everything, lovely, cosy and quiet, loved the little touches, like mini fridge, multi charging phone cable, plates and cutlery 🥰 Nothing
- Klaudia (10/5): -
- John (10/5): Excellent quiet place to stay - A great little comfy place to stay which was quiet and had off road parking. It’s like an annexe onto a house with a private entry but I felt comfortable and didn’t hear anything from next door. Nothing
- Hunt (9/5): - Convenient for bus stops.
Excellent room layout, decor & facilities.
Quiet location + very safe neighbourhood
- Lesley (10/5): - Very handy for the airport in a nice village.
A comfortable self contained unit. Nothing
- Rony (10/5): Excellent place, highly recommended - Pretty little place has everything we need, walking distance to corner shop, pub and restaurant. The host, Mags was very nice and easy going. Will definitely come back for our next trip. Thank you very much Mags.

- Kevin (9/5): KB West Sussex - Nice annex in Gotham only 3 miles from Clifton P&R. Great for getting to central Nottingham. Comfortable room with large bathroom and nice shower. The owner introduced herself and showed us round. Off road parking. Minor issue but the bedroom dormer window could not be opened. Would have been useful in the intense heat.
- Hammond (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pauline (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elizabeth (7/5): Adequate but would have liked to keep food cool. - Availability of kettle. Modern bathroom. There were no self catering facilities; no fridge, crockery etc or microwave. No breakfast was available at the property. There were no cafes. Just a local shop. It is a super little room for an overnight stay but not for three nights.
For some reason the TV came on spontaneously in the night.
It was a hot weekend with some rain and the velux windows kept closing automatically making the small area very stuffy.
- Toni (9/5): Superb - Room and bathroom spacious, clean and comfortable.
Everything worked.
Little details such as charger, plates, cutlery tea making and toiletries which makes the stay that little but nicer.
- J (8/5): Nice place to stay - Lovely idea! Everything we needed in one room plus a good sized bathroom. Off street parking on the hosts driveway. Smart TV and free wifi. There are 3 pubs in walking distance to choose from - we ate at The Sun (Friday night is a pizza & burger menu). The bus stop is across the road and the buses run every 30 mins to Nottingham/Loughborough. Nottingham was about 30 mins. Although the entrance is via the front door of the cottage, we never met the host. We stayed here to attend a wedding reception in East Leake.
- Samantha (9/5): Great Annex, comfortable and welcoming, loved it! - Swallows Nest was a perfect little place for me to rest during the day before working through the night. I was able to check in easily and to be able to relax on the sofa before going to bed was a lovely bonus. The shower and bathroom were great. I particularly loved the electric velux with fitted blinds. The weather was warm but I could open and shut the velux easily and the blinds on them blocked out the light when I needed to sleep. The bed was comfy as was the sofa! I really do hope to use Swallows Nest again! If I’m being super critical there were a few hairs on a couple of the pillowcases and in the bathroom. Also the blind at the main window doesn’t have a black out lining so let’s in light. But I am being very very critical. It was lovely there. I would most definitely return!!
- Mike (10/5): Exceptional -
- Justine (9/5): Superb - Perfect for a weekend stopover. Easy to get into Nottingham. Great host and great communication.
Lovely style and space.
A mini fridge to chill a couple of bottles of water would make it perfect.
- Ellie (10/5): Great location & exactly as pictured. Would highly recommend. - Great location and driveway parking. The bed was super comfy and a lovely modern bathroom! Had a kettle and coffee with water provided. Will definitely be staying again - we were visiting West Bridgeford. Nothing
- Jenny (10/5): Lovely accommodation - Cosy
- Maisie (10/5): Lovely place, warm and cosy - comfy bed, smart tv, nice shower tv could be on a moveable arm
- Ian (9/5): Superb -
- Craig (8/5): Very good -
- Fiona (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly, good facilities and location.
- Kathryn (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderfully clean and handy location
- Marielouise31 (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely property, just perfect. The bed is so comfortable! Really easy to access and helpful instructions. Mags was a friendly and welcoming host. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! Would definitely recommend 👌
- Carole-ann (9/5): Lovely place - Room was spotlessly clean, lovely bathroom , comfortable bed, exactly as described in the information For me there was no negative. I think perhaps more than one night more plug sockets might be a nice to have?
- Sheila (10/5): Perfect place to stay, great value for money. - Exactly as described, very clean and modern.
- Leon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leigh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (9/5): Excellent accommodation, will be back soon - Excellent accommodation, room is clean and comfortable, private bathroom is spacious. No problems finding it and parking space very useful right outside. Shower looked lovely and was huge but then somewhat disappointing that it lacked pressure. That's about the only negative I can think of though, highly recommend the accommodation and will be coming again
- Ruth (6/5): Great accommodation, but finding the EV charger had not charged was disastrous. - Very comfy bed, spotlessly clean & great shower.
Easy to access via key safe. Off road parking. Close to M1 but very quiet and good area. Booked specifically because of the EV charger. I advised I’d be arriving late & asked how to use it. Was told just needed to plug in and push the button on the wall unit.
Was leaving early the next morning to drive 150 miles. The EV unit had stopped charging and I had just 50 miles range instead over 200.
Had to stop elsewhere to charge and missed the appointments I had that morning.
The EV charger seemed new but I’m not sure the owner knew how it operated. I advise checking this before booking.
Had I been able to charge successfully I would have rated the property very highly.
- Karen (10/5): Fantastic! - Fantastic location with off road parking. Lovely room with everything you would need for your overnight stay. Highly recommend.
- Steve (10/5): unexpected stop - an unexpected stop over booked at last minute. fantastic find, great room. lovely and clean, very nice bathroom. all in all a nice place to stay. nothing
- Kelly (10/5): Great Place - The property exceeded my expectations. Separate doorway and a key code to collect the keys. I arrived late and the light on the drive and light up key box was useful. I was travelling for work so needed somewhere quiet, warm and comfortable. This exceeded my expectations as I was also provided with coffee making facilities and good WiFi!
- Michaela (10/5): Exceptional - Great location. Spotlessly clean. Use of the electric car charger was much appreciated
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deborah (8/5): Perfect place for a one night stop for Nottingham area - Bright, clean and well maintained Was just missing a fork 🤣
- William (8/5): Nice place for an overnight stop. - The location was good for us as we had a couple of appointments in the area. It is in a quiet village. We had our own entrance. The apartment was comfortable, clean, had a nice shower, and there was off road parking. Good value for money. The host was helpful in letting us have an 11:00 check out time. I'd stay here again. Personally I would have liked a firmer bed. A small refigerator would have been useful to facilitate making breakfast.
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Jon (10/5): Comfortable stay in quiet surroundings - Very easy check-in and friendly host. Everything was very comfortable.
- Hutchison (10/5): Host was very helpful. The accommodation was excellent had all the amenities needed. - Clean and fresh.
- Lydia (10/5): Ideal stay for a short stopover in the area. Would highly recommend. -
- Keith (10/5): Comfortable..value for money....great - For us the location was perfect...the host was lovely That the host didn't drive 200 miles to pick us up....seriously it was great no faults
- Scot (9/5): Superb - Very clean, comfortable bed and couch. We were there just for one night, so did not need there to be a h cooking facilities. The area is quiet so we had a peaceful sleep. It was great that we could park the car outside the front door. Nice quality fittings towels etc. It was very good value for money. The shower was either very hot or cold. The only way I could make the dial for temperature move was to turn the shower off first.
- Josh (10/5): Perfect for a - Fantastic little gem, super clean, great host who is very accommodating, perfect.
- Alex (9/5): Nice cosy and clean everything I needed for a last minute stay - Nice and cosy The fact was out the way a bit and had no signal until I was connected to the WiFi provided
- Ciara (10/5): Fab place to stay! - Really lovely accommodation.
Very cosy, clean, decorated beautifully, the shower is massive and it was a great location for our stay.
The hairdryer was also amazing!
- John (8/5): All amenities were high tech & decorated to high standard. Would recommend for short stay. - Village of Gotham was beautiful. Ok for 1 or 2 night stay. Tended to be a bit small.
- Michele (8/5): Would certainly stay again. Room modern. Bed comfy. Sky lights had electric black out blinds. Good price for overnight s - Quiet village. Self contained apartment. Off street parking. Easy access when arriving late. Was chilly at night. But electric heater supplied so wasn’t a problem to jump out of bed and switch it on. Floor was a bit dusty. Needed socks or slippers on. But not a problem for next time.
- Smith (8/5): Lovely room - A lovely room, and so comfy, we really enjoyed staying there - thank you 😊
- Magdalena (8/5): Very good - Lovely place and great location
- Paul (10/5): A hidden gem! - A great little Annex perfect for our requirements. Hosts were not actually there that weekend but check in was instructed and communication throughout was great. A lovely room with bed, table and sofa and great TV set up, plus a separate modern bathroom. Shop literally 1 minute walk if you need it. Even toiletries provided, although not required it was a nice touch. Nothing, everything was perfect for what we needed.
- Martin (8/5): Very nice little place, out in a small village. Good experience all round. No complaints at all - Pleasant stay, no hassles, the landlady was quick to come help me when I messed up getting the keys (totally my fault). Very soft bed. Very handy for small shop and pubs within walking distance (though we didn't try them. We could have done with a seat in the shower as my wife is disabled and cannot stand to use it. The toilet seat seemed a little loose and is quite low. There is a small step into the house and the drive is all pebbles like Brighton beach.
- Zeeshan (7/5): Overall it was a clean and tidy place and no other complaints. - Don’t not provide toiletries, not even shampoo..! I was disappointed to know that toiletries are not provided. Do they expect the customers to carry their own toiletries… not even shampoo…! Come on you can do better than that. Should not expect customers to carry such things in their bags specially those who travel for work.
- Simmonds (8/5): Very good -
- Clareh76 (10/5): Amazing haven - Gorgeous little place. Immaculately clean and warm n welcoming. Top level items all round. Great communication with the owner too who very kindly recommended food places and where to park in the city etc.
Don't hesitate to book it!
