Guest Reviews
- LIA (3/5): - I wanted to express our disappointment with the check-in experience.
Because of the lack of clear instructions and the careless handling on your side, we were left outside for almost two hours trying to figure out how to enter the property. If it hadn’t been for our neighbors — very kind Italian people who helped us — we honestly would not have been able to find the entrance or understand how to get inside.
This was extremely frustrating and, frankly, very irresponsible. After a long trip, being left outside for such a long time because of unclear communication is simply unacceptable.
Please make sure this is taken seriously and improved for future guests, because no one should have to go through this.
We will also be leaving a review about this experience on Booking.

- Peter (9/5): -
- Bogdan (8/5): View from above the frenzy - Great balcony view with a sense of living in the liveliest neighbourhood in napoli but from above. Mild communication inconvenience with the host, but everything ok in the end.
You can hear a lot of noise from the neighbors so that might be a problem if you are sensitive to that.
- Kostiantyn (6/5): For very adventurous people - The location is very central and close to the seaside, metro stations, restaurants, bars and some popular tourist attractions. Despite all the negatives, it is convenient if your main goal is to explore the city on foot and stay in the historic center. There are plenty of small shops and places to eat nearby.
The apartment itself looked relatively new and was generally clean inside, aside from some mold in the shower. The air conditioner worked well and was very appreciated, same as electric window shutters which helped with outside light. The balcony has a small table and two chairs, which could be nice in quieter circumstances.
We also appreciated being allowed to leave our luggage before check-in. Even though communication was confusing, the cleaning lady gave us the keys and let us store our baggage until the room was ready.
Only bathroom window has a full view of Vesuvio. You can only see a small piece of the sea from the far corner of the balcony.
-----
The biggest issue by far is the noise. The surroundings literally never sleep. The apartment is located on an old narrow street in a very chaotic and poor area that feels more like a tourist trap than a pleasant historic neighborhood. There are loud scooters, shouting, drilling and other random noises all day and all night, and you can hear almost everything even with the windows closed. One night there were even fireworks exploding very close to our window. The apartment is also close to the Maradona wall, so there are constantly crowds of tourists and noise coming from nearby bars and the square.
The apartment itself is not really a hotel or even a proper hostel. It feels more like an old apartment divided into two rental rooms with a tiny shared entrance corridor. Unfortunately the sound insulation is extremely poor. The bed is right next to the door and the walls are very thin, so every time the other guests enter, leave, walk through the corridor or even move around in their room, you hear everything very clearly. It was much worse than a normal hotel experience. Even respectful guests would probably wake you up, but we were especially unlucky because the guests next door spent most of the night partying, walking back and forth and making noise despite us asking them to be quieter. Since there is no reception or staff on site, you are completely on your own in these situations.
There were also constant noises from neighbours upstairs, including a child running around and what sounded like people moving furniture.
The water pressure in shower was extremely weak — the water barely reached your skin before falling down. Hot water only lasted a couple of minutes at a time, so showering became stressful and rushed. Maybe there is some trick to make it last longer, but we never figured it out.
There were almost no instructions on how to find the place. We had to enter a building with no signs and go up to the sixth floor before seeing any indication that we were in the right place. The elevator only accepts 10-cent coins, so be prepared or you will have to walk all the way upstairs. We arrived slightly early and only found a cleaning lady who did not speak English. She called the host, who tried to explain things in very broken English before eventually sending confusing WhatsApp messages. His main concern seemed to be paying the city tax and sending a passport photo, while very little actual information about the property or stay was provided.
The streets were dirty, full of garbage, dog waste and chaotic traffic. Scooters constantly drive through extremely narrow streets with almost no regard for pedestrians, and cos there are barely any sidewalks, you always feel like you need to watch out not to get hit. Nearest metro station still requires climbing uphill for around 10 minutes.

- Top Lage. Sehr sauber, helle und ruhige Wohnung.
- Felix (8/5): bird's nest in the heart of quartieri - It's in the center of Quartieri Spagnoli with an amazing view and stunning soundscape. I liked the design of the flat, especially the terrazzo and calm colours and the comfortable bed, although there are some renovations needed (tap, shower, balcony table). The elevator needs coins! Unfortunately the balcony table was broken and there was still a cigar, the shower gel was broken, the kitchen tap is very loose and the warm water needs a lot of time (like 1-2 minutes).
- Nicoli (10/5): - Struttura ottima accoglienza top..

- Thomas (10/5): - Great location, really nice room with balcony. Eat at the Maradona pizza retaurant next to building for the full Maradona experience. My hero when I was a young football player :-)
- Allpine (7/5): -
- Son (8/5): Would refer it to friends , with proviso that taxi can drop them off in front of the Air B&B - Location Getting access to with the Taxi- lots of tourists in streets
- Stephen (9/5): Fun stay - Location in Spanish Quarter was memorable. Check in process needs improvement.
- Jennifer (9/5): Spotless, comfortable apartment right in the heart of Naples! - Lively location - close to everything we wanted to do in Naples. Comfortable spotless apartment with great views. Our football fans loved the Maradona images! A bit noisy at times (but there was building work going on next door so think we were just unlucky!)
- Angus (7/5): Comfy and close to town. A little on the pricey side - Clean modern interior Some ornaments fragile
- Noreen (7/5): Good - Taxi could not find the property. It is truly part of the city but hard to navigate from..
- Basak (9/5): Superb - It was a very busy street but the room was very quiet :) Antonio and his wife were exceptionally welcoming and kind. The room (and bathroom) was spotless! We would definitely recommend to stay :)
- Marina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional - Good lokalication,very good rekonstruction
- Daniel (10/5): Nice location in hart of spanish quarter. - Location. It is clean and you have all what you need. Antonio is very nice and will tell you all what you need to know. The review is for apartment not for a 4 star hotel, but location and people around it is giving you more real Naples experience.
- Diana (10/5): The host is a very nice person, really helpful. The apartment inside is new! -
