Guest Reviews
- Andrew (10/5): Fabulous family weekend and the dog loved it too - Everything you need for a short stay or holiday was provided the caravan was spotless one of the best we have ever stayed in .communication with Suzanne was easy and all questions answered promptly I would highly recommend the caravan and site its situated on .we are definitely going too book again Everything was provided spotlessly clean easy access too site all in all well worth the money and the van is a credit too the owners
- Iain (8/5): A great stay for our anniversary - The location was great (we have stayed at the Sanctuary next door previously but preferred Georgia Lodge due to the living room looking onto the hedge which felt more provate). We came for the Lido so we were never going to be disappointed but the coffees, pastries amd milk amd butter as a welcome were lovely touches. There was nothing we didn't like, although the two doors into the bathroom felt odd. I'm not sure if I didnt look properly at the floor plan but it was a surprise. It wasnt a problem though! The one piece of advice I would give would be to attempt to cover the screws on the carpet and lino divider in the living room/kitchenette as these were sharp.
- Alan (10/5): - On arrival, the caravan was warm and clean. There were some welcome surprises, i.e., bread, butter, jam milk, tea, coffee, and sugar. The beds were very comfortable.
Excellent location close to the bus stop and a lovely walk into Knaresborough by the river. The site is very well kept and peaceful. Nothing we didn't like. However, the welcome book stated there was a brown envelope below the TV with instructions for operating the heating, but it was not there.
- Sarah (8/5): A beautiful site and peaceful stay. - A very clean and comfortable stay with thoughtful attention to detail. As we travelled just after Easter, the hosts left 2 Easter eggs for the children and left a variety of M and S treats for us to enjoy during our stay.
The site is so beautiful and very peaceful - ideal for relaxing and having an early night. Nothing about the property however the main facilities weren’t open during our stay. The pub and restaurant on site is only open Thursday - Sunday and same with the shop. This could be due to the time of year. The cafe was open between 10-4pm but we were out exploring all day so didn’t use this.
The main facilities not been open didn’t ruin our stay but it would have been nice to be able to pop in for a drink or use the restaurant on an evening so I think it’s important guests knows this ahead of booking.

- David (10/5): An excellent break in a clean and well equipped lodge. - The lodge was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. We also very much liked the site the lodge sits within. Really well located, the lodge provided a great base for exploring Knaresborough and the wider area. Nothing.
- craig (10/5): -
- Sam (10/5): - Easily accessible
- ernest (10/5): - Fabulous stay in a beautiful lodge , everything was perfect
- Zachary (10/5): Quite pet friendly stay in a great location for a few walks - Everything, location, tidiness, communication. That they allow pets to stay. There wasn’t anything we didn’t like in all honestly.
- tyler (10/5): Very happy! - It was warm, clean and comfortable. The hosts made sure that we were well looked after, would definitely recommend
- Anthony (10/5): A perfect weekend in beautiful surroundings - Absolutely spotless. Wonderful setting. Very comfortable. Nothing
- Samantha (8/5): - Great Little caravan had everything we needed and loved the welcome basket and little extras we got. Only fault for all of us was the pillows on the beds they were uncomfortable and very flat.
- Lyndsey (10/5): -
- jennifer (9/5): Lovely comfy caravan well equipped - Very easy check in good communication from owner very well equipped lovely to get welcome pack, Nothing
- Sharon (8/5): Nice stay in a relaxing environment - It was in a good position on the site near to the cafe, bar and river. Lovely good quality welcome pack. There was nothing not to like.
- Samantha (10/5): Very relaxing & enjoyable weekend at Georgias Lodge. - Lovely lodge, very clean, comfortable. It had everything we needed & more. Great location. Thank you for the M&S welcome goodies. Nothing, it was perfect.
- Nir (8/5): Good place to stay for family vacation. Very nearby to all tourists places. - Good.
- Eleanor (9/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our few days with the grandkids, the location is amazing . Away from the hustle and bustle. - It had everything you needed and the welcome pack was a lively gesture and much appreciated. There wasn’t anything to dislike
- McAree (7/5): - Immaculate and really well appointed. Owners are obviously very proud and take great care Nothing
- clapham (10/5): -
- Rowena (10/5): Beautiful, welcoming, clean, and a good place for kids! - It was lovely to turn up and have bread, butter, milk (plus a few extras including treats for the children!) there for us - these essentials made a big difference, and was so kind. The property was beautifully clean, and there were a few books and games that we enjoyed. We also appreciated the baby bedding and that the site was dog friendly!
It's a but outside Knaresborough, but our 3 and 5 year olds were happy scooting it daily, so not very far, and right by St Robert's cave. I would have liked a map of the lido site with walking routes in and out - OS maps were a bit far out. I don't really have anything to complain about!
- IAN (10/5): A nice break - The communication with the owners Suzanne & John was excellent and informative. The lodge was ready for our occupation at the agreed time and was very clean well appointed and comfortable. A nice gesture was the provision of some essential items coffee tea milk etc. We really enjoyed our stay it was quiet and peaceful. A walk into Knaresborough was about 25 minutes Nothing
- Dawn (10/5): The description of the accommodation was accurate and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. There was nothing - Clear instructions on arrival , clean and the little touches were very much appreciated especially as the little shop was closed and after a 5.30 hr drive a cuppa was needed and all the essentials were there ! There wasn’t anything I didn’t like
- Sarah (10/5): Lovely caravan. Exceeded our expectations - Absolutely lovely
- Elizabeth (9/5): Lovelt break with the family, elderly parents. Will be booking again ideally the same property. - The caravan was very comfy and a good size.
Hosts were contactable very easy when needed.
Great location as we had a car.
Great location to local area such as Harrogate, York, Local towns.
Great bar only 5 mins away by car. Met all expectations.
Just a note maybe a second rail on either side of the steps leaving the caravan for the elderly. But noticed all caravans only had rail on one side so maybe its a site rule.
- Dalton (10/5): Exceptional - Facilities in caravan fantastic and welcome pack best we've ever had. Highly recommend Nothing to do with the caravan at all. But bit disappointed pub on site wasn't open and they don't do food
- Claire (10/5): Perfect hosts, amazing caravan, lovely site and location. - Welcoming gifts, clean and modern and very well equipped. Nothing!
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (10/5): Beautiful place - Beautiful weekend away, really enjoyed our stay at the Georgia lodge on the lido. Amazing little place for walks with the dogs. There wasn't anything we didn't enjoy.
- Jayne (10/5): However we really enjoyed our stay , and the hosts were very accommodating as to the time we could book in . - The welcome basket full of lovely treats was a lovely touch. It was very convenient for walking in to knaresborough. I think it would be worth investing in new pillows as they were hard and clumped and uncomfortable. Also the cushions on the sofa , we’re in need of a wash !
- Karis (10/5): Fantastic Easter weekend. - Fantastic caravan, well equipped, in a lovely setting. The butter, milk and hot cross buns, were a lovely touch on arrival and the Easter eggs were loved by the kids. Such a thoughtful touch. We would love to stay again.
- Richy (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely, clean, smart place to stay, 100% would recommend and would come again N/A
- Lucy (9/5): Superb -
- Janet (10/5): Wonderful stay - The beds were comfortable and shower was big and powerful.
Very comfortable stay
The hosts were easily contactable and accommodating.
Site was extremely clean and beautiful next to the water.
Brilliant for dogs and children Nothing of relevance, just needed a better hoover but I guess not many people like to clean on holidays
- Dave (9/5): Had a lovely weekend and would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family - We liked the location and how quickly we were able to get to the river, coffee shop & the club house Nothing
- Ian4422 (10/5): Exceptional - Everything about the olce was fantastic from location to facilities There was nothing we didn't like about the place
- Gary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angela (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely, comfortable, very clean, well equipped holiday home. We appreciated the milk, butter, bread, tea, coffee provided on our arrival. Excellent location in walking distance of Knaresborough shops and amenities. All good!
- Abigaile (10/5): Great stay in a beautiful lodge, thank you. - The property was lovely, very clean and comfortable. Hot shower with soft towels and comfy beds. There are ample tea and coffee options for the morning with milk and bread available to start the stay. This was a lovely touch. The leisure park is close to the supermarket and local cafe. We stayed here to attend a wedding at Allerton Castle using AJs taxi service to attend the event. Great location, we wish we had stayed longer.
- Marion (10/5): Had a very enjoyable few days and shall consider staying again. Recommend ***** - The owners left us a welcome pack consisting of bread, butter, milk, biscuits, jam and plenty of tea coffee and sugar. It was spotlessly clean packed with everything you need and more. Very comfortable and quiet location. Nothing at all.
- Becci (10/5): Our stay here was lovely. It was the perfect base for us to visit family. The van had milk and butter for us along with - It was spotless and clean!
- Gabrielle (9/5): Great Stay - The gift basket and milk and butter in the fridge was massively appreciated. The kids loved their sweets
The water pressure was amazing and all facilities were clean. It was in an overall great location.
- Kerenza (10/5): Deffo come bk to this nice place - It’s was very cosy & nice lovely place to be for relaxing deffo come again beautiful lodge Wasn’t anything to says it’s was perfect
- Danielle (10/5): Lovely place, would recommend. - Perfect size for a small family. Had everything we needed for a short stay. Lovely location just outside of Knaresborough. The travel cot was quite small. It would have been too small for a larger toddler.
- Anastacia (10/5): Exceptional - This place was home from home, clean, emaculate, and had everything we needed as a family of 5.
The welcome set was great with the kids' sweet cones and fresh bread.
The bathroom was very roomy and a shower that you can move in.
The short walk to the river was a bonus for the kids and they spent most of our time there in the water.
- Mark (10/5): Ideal location and facilities. Excellent communication prior to visit and easy access - Spotlessly clean and wonderful to have a welcome pack of the basic foods (thank you). Nothing
- Selina (10/5): Exceptional - Welcome pack was handy. Bread milk tea coffee sugar and butter. Lovely location and setting.
- Deborah (10/5): Exceptional and would definitely stay here again and recommend to family and friends - Very clean and comfortable. Good quality bedding, towels etc.
Well equipped kitchen with good quality pans and crockery. Everything was excellent
Only little niggle was it could do with a couple of baking trays
- John (10/5): Exceptional - It was spotless the loaf butter jam and milk were a nice touch. The 10 minutes of rain.
- Tracey (10/5): Fabulous caravan well equipped - Fabulous comfy caravan with lots of finishing touches, spotlessly clean.
Nice to have M&S bread, butter, milk, jams, biscuits, tea and coffee all provided, also all cleaning products. Would definitely recommend 😊 Nothing to fault..
- Lynne (9/5): Superb -
- Stephen (9/5): Great comfortable location for exploring the area - Lots of attention to detail, that made a big first impression. Enjoyed the property, but disappointed that the clubhouse had no catering.
- Ruth (10/5): Perfect, everything we could have hoped for - It was clean and cosy. The little extras were really appreciated
- Julie (9/5): Superb - Location is great. Stayed on the site before. Lovely and quiet but with a good on site bar. Walk in to town easy along Abbey Road. Lots to do in the area, with good walking routes. Nice welcome pack in the caravan with bread, butter, tea, coffee and milk. Towels in the caravan weren't very good, as they didn't dry very well. Would have preferred a cafetiere rather than the Tassimo. Tassimo pods not great for the environment.
- Rachel (10/5): Our little family getaway to Knaresborough - Property was in a fantastic location and easy to find on large leisure park, close to entrance. Georgia Lodge was exceptionally clean and well stocked with everything you needed for your stay including some lovely welcome treats. Great communication with seller before and during booking. With visiting on a hot weekend the property was extremely hot the first evening but then rather chilly on a morning - made it difficult to regulate with our little girl
- Fran (10/5): Excellent. Beautiful site. Gorgeous caravan - Clean. Lovely welcome package. If I was staying for longer, I would have really appreciated a dishwasher.
- Darren (10/5): Very clean and comfy everything was excellent -
- Kiel (8/5): Very good -
- Magdalena (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and tidy... good communication.. close to the city center. Everyone so lovely and helpful... Peaceful area...
I recommended
- Rachel (9/5): Superb -

- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice caravan in a lovely setting
- Leigh (9/5): Loved our few days at Georgia Lodge, we will definitely be back! - It was welcoming, spotlessly clean and had everything needed. Nothing, I can’t fault it.
