Guest Reviews
- Duygu (10/5): - Geniş yatak konforlu güzel konum teşekkürler

- Julius (10/5): Living with locals - I stayed here for one month and I really liked it. The rooms are on the second floor and building is deep in the backyard of Balinese family. They were super friendly and helpful all the time. Sometimes they would bring us fruits. But the highlight was on the first day of Galungan. They lent us traditional clothes, helped to put them on and we were able to participate in a local parade.
Every other day they would sweep the room, take out the trash. And usually after one week they would come to change the bedsheets, towels, and wash the floor.
The location is super quiet compared to the streets of Ubud. It is very peaceful to sleep at night. AC is working well. There is place to keep your motorbike inside the backyard. I have no complaints
- Barbora (10/5): -
- Richa (10/5): For the price I enjoyed my stay. The AC worked properly, the water pressure was also good with cold and hot water availa - I had the whole of 2nd floor all to myself for 2 weeks. The walkway and the house in itself is so pretty. The bathroom could have been a bit more cleaner. Also for 1 week I stayed they didn’t come to clean up the room, not sure if we have to request it.
- Leonidas (5/5): - Room was big enough with a nice balcony that you share with the room next to you, no obstacle in between. Bedsheets and towels could be cleaner and smell better. Given the low price i had low expectations but the bathroom had a very bad odour and needed definitely a good, deep cleaning.
Kesinlikle tavsiye ediyorum. Banyoda biraz koku vardı ve duş kısmı perdesiz olduğundan her yer su oluyordu ama onun dışında mükemmeldi.

- Farhan (8/5): Very good -
- Sophia (9/5): Superb - Stayed here for 4 nights. The second floor is amazing. Good comfortable bed. The breakfast is tasty. For that price!
Also there is gamelan school nearby. You can hear kids training every day. There is strange wet mold smell on the first floor. Maybe the personnel need to clean ac or the walls.
- Sophia (9/5): Superb -
- Helza (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (7/5): Good room. Cleaning needs more attention. - Spacious room, comfortable bed, breakfast was served right to the room. Bathroom was not clean. Sink was dirty and had shaved off hairs after previous guest. Walls around the sink had splashes of toothpaste and who knows what else. Parking on the street.
- Olga (6/5): Attention - roosters! - Breakfast You will not sleep here. Before 00:30 - the noise of motorcycles from the road, at 3:00 - we will rise from the howling of dogs, at 5:00 we will wake up from a howling rooster who will not shut up until you leave (and this is the rooster of the owners, not from the neighbors), at 6:30 the roar from the road again. The result is a sleepless night, and the next day is wasted.
- Mikhail (9/5): Superb -
- Aleksei (10/5): Exceptional - Nice place
Good stuff
- Eduard (10/5): Good value for the money! - Great, quiet place close to center of Ubud! Family very friendly and welcoming, always open to help 🙂
- Karol (3/5): Place could have a potential but owners must take some action… at this time not to be recommended. Was cheap? Yes. Was g - Warm water and good water pressure - no mosquito net in the front door, open decorations holes in the wall…
- dirty bathroom (no cleaning for weeks?- if no, really bad quality of cleaning staff)
- owner was kind of friendly but you could feel like he is a bit pushy. Mixed feelings.
- Molly (10/5): A perfect base for exploring around the Ubud area! - Kadek and his family were so welcoming and kind to us! The room and bed were super comfortable, breakfast was delicious and we loved staying outside of the traffic in the center of Ubud but close enough to be convenient. There is an incredible local Warung a short scooter ride up the road (Lambung Padi, definitely go check it out!) as well as other yummy food options close by. The space was clean and they even gave us fresh towels after a few days. Occasionally the family dog would bark in the middle of the night but nothing else!
- Amada (9/5): This was a comfortable and beautiful place with a very friendly family hosting me! - The property was beautiful with huge fruit trees and beautiful architecture. The shower was always hot with great water pressure. The bed was large and very comfy. I had lots of space in my room and a large wardrobe for my clothes (even a beautiful vanity table so I can fix my makeup and hair!) The balcony was spacious as well with gorgeous wood furniture. Breakfast was served every morning at the time I chose, and I was served a variety of fresh fruit and hot tea to start my day exploring Ubud. The location is a quick motorbike ride away from the main streets and amazing sights. It felt very local and cozy. Kadek and the rest of my hosts were very kind and Kadek took care of all my needs quickly and professionally!
- Lauren (1/5): Not good, dirty, should not be allowed to get away with this - Arrived to find previous guests belonging outside the room with clothes and towels still hung. Entered the room to Pringles can and other rubbish left from previous guest. Pulled back the bed to discover hairs and stains making it quite clear the room hadn’t been cleaned or the bed linens. Left 10 minutes after arriving
- Klaudia (10/5): Amazing stay! - We had an amazing stay at Karmila House. The room was spacious, clean, and bright, with a large balcony in a new building located in a quiet area. The bed was big and comfortable, and the mattress was new. There was always plenty of hot water, not just for a short shower, but unlimited! The Wi-Fi was very good. Breakfast was delicious, fresh and brought to the table on the balcony every morning. The Balinese family was super friendly, helpful, and kind. They also rented us a motorbike, which was really convenient. I highly recommend staying here in Ubud, even for long-term stays. We’ll definitely be back!
- Jarrah (7/5): Good -
- Felix (10/5): Authentic experience - The room is clean and has all the basic things you need. The people are incredibly friendly, warm and open. We actually got to learn a lot about them and their culture and it really felt like we were living with the locals. For the price you pay you get way more than expected and is well worth it. It’s a bit outside of ubud but because of that much more quiet and away from all the chaos. You can rent a scooter directly with the family. You are living a bit more on the country side and you can certainly her some chickens, dogs and birds making sounds at night and in the early mornings. But with earplugs it’s not really a problem.
- Lacatus (10/5): Exceptional - Especialy the staff, big room, clean, cheap. Traditional balinese house All good
- Yohanes (9/5): Superb - We recently stayed at this guest house and was thoroughly impressed. The facilities are good. Bathroom is clean and water pressure is good, which I greatly appreciated. Bedroom is spacious and convenient. Friendly environment, and excellent service. Overall, this guest house offers excellent value with its well-maintained amenities. Highly recommended Bedroom at the lower floor is a little bit damp.
- Alexander (10/5): Exceptional - All good! Nice and helpful owner, nice view from the balcony, everything clean, shower as well!
Very good price - value ratio
But outside of the center but that did not bother me
Recommend! Nothing!!
- Cecilia (10/5): Quiet and nice place to stay - We had a great stay in Karmila ! The family is super helpful and amazing people! They also rent motorcycles and have a taxi service ! Super recommended! Is a bit far from the center but by motorcycle you are in 8min so is perfect , and also you are close to some temples.
The bathroom has a smell super weird like a strong garlic or so, I guess is because it has no ventilation.
But over that everything was great!
- Alana (8/5): Very good - Kadek and his family were wonderful! Such sweet people and very welcoming. Nice, spacious room and loved the standing closet to place my clothes & bags. Breakfast was amazing and delicious! Served to your balcony every morning. Bed was big and comfy & WiFi worked well which was great for watching Netflix and doing work from the room. Hosts were very helpful anytime I needed anything! Was a nice, quiet place to come back to after spending the days in downtown Ubud. Some ants, but not too bad. I showed Kadek where they were coming into the room and he said they would fix it! Bathroom was a bit dated, towel smelled funky. Bathroom smelled musty overall. Location a bit far from shops, so had to take a Grab everywhere. If you don't mind calling a Grab everyday, you'll be fine! Was okay for the few days I stayed!
- Clémence (10/5): Exceptional - Big and clean room. Quite area with a good local restaurant around 7min. Nice staff they bring your breakfast to your bedroom :) can see a part of the sunset upstairs. Wanted to stay longer
- Rayan (9/5): Superb - Good value and helpful host!
- Onaisa (7/5): I can’t stop thinking about that omelette - The BEST omelette I’ve had in my entire life. 🍳 Bathroom could have been cleaner :/
- Lotfi (10/5): Exceptional - Was an amazing family welcoming you like everyone want to be welcome, they have laundry motobike. It's a nice place really quiet and authentic.
- Jamie (10/5): Great art, relaxing, all we needed, very tentative hosts. - Hospitality, cleanliness, quiet environment, comfy bed, over all vibe.
