Guest Reviews

- Brooke (10/5): Lovely home in Wahalla - This is a great country property in an awesome location a few minutes walk to the main part of town! The house is extremely comfy, plenty of fire wood for those cold nights, extra heating in each rooms & has a great kitchen/lounge area for relaxing and spending time with loved ones. The host Nathan was extremely responsive and very easy to deal with.
We were in Wahalla celebrating my two year old son’s birthday at the Wally pub (highly recommended) and had a number of family down renting other properties, this was by far the most spacious home and great value for money for 8 adults!
We will certainly return and stay here again! Nothing! All great :))
- Eleanor (10/5): - Location, homey style
- McIntosh (10/5): Quality accommodation in Walhalla - The house was clean and comfortable with excellent heating as well as plenty of wood for a log fire. The furniture and beds and kitchen was modern and great accommodation for our stay. The 1br studio downstairs was also great. Woyld definitely stay there again. Nothing
- Nasrin (10/5): - We had a lovely stay at the Walhalla property—very cosy and perfect for a relaxing getaway. We especially loved the beautiful wooden windows with their peaceful views, and the fireplace made the space feel warm and inviting.
- Mark (8/5): Had a great weekend with the family in beautiful accomodation. - A very comfortable property in a beautiful location. Lived the verandah, open fire in family room and Walhalla as a whole!
- Michael (9/5): -
- Ajith (9/5): Relaxed, comfortable, secured, attractive options for exploration and value for money. - Location, facilities, presentation, independence from neighbouring properties, reasonable and easy access for seniors and assisted patrons and value for money facility. One and only suggestion for improvement is the main shower..! It can be bit tricky to navigate in and out feeling apprehensive about the spa shower..! Despite this minor hiccup, it was still an amazing experience.
- Genevieve (10/5): A Fun Vacation - Our group of 7 loved our time here! Whitlow Manor is an amazing property. It's location at the top of Walhalla made it the perfect place to explore the entire area on foot while still feeling private enough.
It was clean, cosy and the decor was beautiful. Clear communication with our host, Nathan, made it all the better.
We hope to have the chance to come back one day 😁 No complaints. We were worried about the water pressure based on other reviews, but there was very strong and consistent water flow even after all 7 of us showered. Perfect after we got super sweaty and sticky from all the hiking we did!
- Brad (8/5): great place to stay if you are looking for quiet retreat. - location, quiet area N/A
- Graeme (9/5): A great weekend. - Fantastic location, very comfortable. It would have been nice to have a recycling bin for bottles etc.
- Delia (8/5): Lovely town with lots of walks and character. - It was a really nice. Fire was on when we arrived. Living area was homely. It was close to town. Lovely stay. Shower was over spa bath. Very slippy. Needs a shower mat for safety reasons.
- Terry (9/5): Great place to stay - The location was great Hot water system crap
- Ford (8/5): - Comfortable, warm, spacious
- Shayley (8/5): Walhalla is a gorgeous, historic little town, perfect for a recharge in nature. - Whitlow was a very comfortable accommodation and great location. We loved having the fireplace on during our stay and enjoying a spa bath. Walhalla is a beautiful town in peaceful surrounds - this is our third stay in this little town and we will be back. When we originally booked, the 4th bedroom wasn’t indicated as optional (the listing was changed after we booked), so the cost of $468 per night for one family was more than expected (unfortunately the ability to cancel wasn’t allowed).
- KAS31 (9/5): Beautiful house in a beautiful part of the world -
- fiona (8/5): Fabulous location. - Great location for visiting the gold mine and railway. Lovely log burner in the main room and good cooking facilities. When the power went out, the manager of the house drove 20 minutes to sort it out for us. The cooker and oven were quite dirty.
- BS (9/5): Very happy hope see you again - Very nice and comfortable place ever location view house everything was perfect Very neat and clean comfy
- Makewitage Chamara (10/5): -
- Stephanie (10/5): Didn’t want to leave - This house is absolutely beautiful. The beds are so comfortable. Had trouble with the shower upstairs but was given the code to downstairs so we could use the shower.
- Julian (9/5): The perfect family break - The place is simply awesome, really clean and well cared, with everything you may need, from kitchenware to DVDs, to have a great break.
The Spa bath is great, the rooms spacious and the heating system a 10 over 10- Not really a "didn´t like"...but if you do the Ghost Tour with you little ones, get prepared for a sleepless night since the prop has quite loud accommodation noises (pipes, roof...) that can influence young impressionable minds....
- Steven (8/5): Terrific. - Wonderful property and well decorated. The large living room was a great place to socialise for the three of us. Only criticism was the the challenge with hot water when showering. It would flicker between very hot and then cold, though mainly cold.
- Jess (10/5): Exceptional - Great set up everything needed for a weekend away and home cooking Leaving
- Simone (10/5): Beautiful Walhalla. - The property is in a great location. The house is warm and cosy, with a lovely fireplace and heaters in every room. Great size kitchen. My favourite place was the big veranda out the front. It’s a great place to enjoy a coffee in the morning and a wine at night. We also did the ghost tour it was so fun and very informative. The Wally pub has yummy food. They have a great selection of Parmas. We also visited the grave yard on top of the hill as you come into Walhalla. It was very spooky and fascinating. This was our first time to visit Walhalla it is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. I can’t recommend it enough. We will definitely be back again. Nothing
- Dorgan (8/5): Lovely stay at Whitlow Manor - The location was very beautiful. The house itself was lovely, obviously a lot of work put into the house. Communication with the host was very good. The location to town was within a short walk. The bed mattresses were very comfortable, just a heads up that they are double beds as stated in the description, so can be a bit short if you are a tall person.
- Dale (10/5): Exceptional -
- Turner (4/5): Disappointing - The ketal had hair and stuff inside it, when we arrived someone had left the gas on so we have to wait 2 hours till we could actually enter but even then the smell still wasn't gone, the shower head was broken and annoying to use.
- Caroline (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful home and property. Suited our group of 5.
Great communication from the owner.
Will definitely come back! Nothing, everything was fabulous
- Giuseppe (7/5): Good - The location Shops were all closed when we got there and nothing was open in the morning so we had to go to Erica the next town for breakfast
- Vicki (10/5): Exceptional - Great place to stay, close to everything. Clean and comfortable. Full kitchen facility. Friendly, helpful staff.
- Cat (10/5): Comfortable and clean - Clean and quiet. Nathan is very responsive. Nothing.
- Shattock (9/5): Would do it all again. - Squeaky bedroom door, so I left a note when I left.
- Joseph (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rob (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect base for our family to explore Walhalla. Spotlessly clean and great communications with the owner, Nathan. Our 4yr old declared the bunkbed and spa bath his highlight of the entire trip! Having to go home
- Catherine (8/5): Perfect spot to explore Walhalla - Great location within walking distance of the main attractions / walks in Walhalla. The house was spacious with everything we needed for our stay and we appreciated the local info provided by Nathan before we arrived. Minor issue with the water tank on day 1 of our stay meant we had to be very frugal with water. However we appreciated the regular communication about this, and the issue was resolved quickly.
- Han-ying (8/5): Very good -
- Felicity (10/5): Perfect stay at walhalla - My family and I absolutely loved our stay at Whitlow manor! All the beds and couches were very comfy and clean. The kitchen had everything it needed with a nice big fridge. Having wifi was a major plus and the smart tv kept us entertained when we were done with the beautiful outside. It was a nice short walk into town, and we enjoyed all of what Walhalla has to offer. We will be back for sure. I can't say there was anything I didn't like
- Conduit (10/5): The manager Nathan was so friendly and very accommodating. Would highly recommend -
- Wendy (10/5): Whitlow manor is well worth a visit. - It was a beautiful property and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was both clean and very comfortable. Ideal for a getaway. The owner was also great at communicating with us. Thanks and we will be back. I really can’t find anything at all that we didn’t like about the property.
- Emma (10/5): A haven in heaven - The house is a home, so beautiful, welcoming and comfortable. It is very large for Walhalla and suited out needs as 2 adults and 4 teens.
Extra points for Nathan and Bronte’s above and beyond delivery of loo rolls! Nothing
- Maureen (7/5): Good -
- Mehdi (9/5): Highly recommend, I'd say it's one of the best homes in Walhalla... - Well positioned property within a short stroll to town centre. Excellent facilities and a very well presented and designed home. The front verandah is delightful with a beautiful view of the surrounding native bushland. We had to leave.
- Stuart (10/5): Exceptional - Peaceful and beautiful
House was very clean and comfy
- Trevor (8/5): Very good - Great location, peaceful and nice scenery Shower needed cleaning, a few blocked holes.
- Helen (9/5): Nice place to stay for relaxing few days! - I went to Walhalla for two nights with friends and we enjoyed the stay. It was quiet and beautiful small town in the valley. The house is very pretty by the look. it has a full kitchen with everything you need! Quiet and relaxing.
- Daniel (6/5): Pleasant - Beautiful house and very nicely furnished. Excellent location. Unfortunately we couldn't use the shower in the main bathroom as the water pressure was extremely low and barely any hot water. We were given the key to the shower down stairs although this is only accessible by going outside. This was not ideal as my heavily pregnant wife had to walk down wet stairs in the rain to shower. Appliances in the kitchen could also do with a decent clean.
- Yasser (10/5): Great Stay! - Amazing house. well maintained. well equipped. Had enough options for entertainment like books, Video dvds. Ideal for families. kids loved it.
- Trevor (9/5): Fantastic getaway manor house - Great quiet location. Well presented clean and comfortable. Perrfect location for a great weekend getaway with friends.

- Thommo (7/5): Warm once fire kicked in - Cosy Water pressure
- Satwica (9/5): Superb - Enough space for a large group of 8. The property location was good with amazing views for the autumn season. The space was very comfortable with all amenities. Communication was great and the owner has provided useful information before the travel to help us prepare for the stay as well as plan things in the town. Enjoyed staying and would love to come back.
- Abhishek (8/5): Very good -
- Anita (9/5): We loved it. - Really clean and modern with vintage décor, warm, a fire if we wanted it for ambiance. Beautiful garden and views up the valley. Everything we needed was provided in the kitchen. Helpful information from owner. If the booking was for 4 people, then there is only access to 3 bedrooms and one bathroom. The fourth bedroom and second bathroom is only for bookings of 9 people.
Mention that there are two drive ways, the long one to the north of the property allows you to drive to the top level to easily access the verandah with luggage or at night time.
- Aruna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (9/5): Perfect "home away from home" for couples and families, very comfortable, modern facilities. - Perfect location on edge of town but easy walking distance to all Walhalla has to offer. Modern, spotlessly clean, very comfortable and fully functional home with lovely "old world" touches/decor in keeping with Walhalla's history as an old gold mining town. Well stocked kitchen and laundry facilities/appliances, well appointed bedrooms including great kids bedroom with bunk sleeping up to 3 people, very comfortable lounge setting with WIFI and smart TV facilities. Great selection of books, DVDs and board games. A real "home away from home". Lovely shaded veranda to relax on with elevated aspect affording great views of the creek and surrounding hills. Good off street parking with easy access to house via two driveways. No complaints!
- Sian (10/5): Wonderful! - The location is great, and the house is very comfortable with a cozy fire, good beds and a well appointed kitchen. Nothing
- Ilana (10/5): Exceptional - The cottage is located in the heart of Walhalla, within walking distance to all points of interest in the town. It was comfortable and well-equipped with everything we needed. Amazing views from the windows.
- Julie (9/5): Very comfortable and clean accomodation in a great location. Nathan was very easy to deal with. - Location was excellent. Out of town so lovely and quiet whilst still being close enough to work everywhere. House was very clean and well equipped. Very comfortable and very relaxing. The shower over the spa bath. It has 2 steps to get up and in the bath. Easy enough for us but would be difficult for any one that was older or frail to be able to have a shower. I think this needs to be mentioned in the advertising.
- Leesa (10/5): Perfect spot to relax and unwind - The location was perfect. Whitlow Manor is very comfortable and clean. It is well equipped with everything you need. Ample space for the whole family. Loved the books, board games and smart TV. Nathan was very receptive to any messages and very informative about the area.

- Linda (10/5): A fantastic place to stay while exploring this lovely town. - Was a lovely place to base our family (4 adults + 3kids) while exploring Walhalla. It was a great / peaceful location, walking distance to town. The house was clean and comfortable. the kitchen, living, dining was spacious and cozy with the log fire. Had a great balcony to relax, the kids were super excited to see the king parrots that paid us a visit. The house had everything we needed and more. Nathan was informative, helpful and prompt with communication. Can't fault this place.

- Joy (10/5): Exceptional - Everything.. This place is amazing. We really love our stay. Money wise very worth it. The owner is very nice too thou we only talk online. I. Can sense that he is a nice person. Highly recommended.. 5 stars from us.
- Michael (10/5): Immaculate, very comfortable and well provisioned period-style house in the heart of Walhalla - House was immaculate and appeared to have been recently renovated (or has otherwise been kept in a tip-top state)
House was very well provisioned with lots of tea and coffee, pantry items, firewood and fire lighters, effective electric bbq.
All rooms had heaters and the large kitchen/lounge/dining area had a split system as well as the fireplace.
There was a great selection of books and games to keep everyone entertained.
Communication with hosts was great - they were helpful and provided lots of useful info e.g. where to visit, eat out, etc. Nothing really - a few more small plates/bowls in the kitchen for nibbles, etc would have been handy!
- Ricky (10/5): Prefect stay - Nice clear house with everything I need, very good location to enjoy family time.
- Colleen (10/5): Thank you to the owners of Whitlow Manor for offering a 5 ⭐️ star propyto the Walhalla options of accommodation. - Best Location in Walhalla! A real wow factor home! The house was amazing inside and out. Very clean and meticulously renovated. Nothing to dislike
- Joe (10/5): Elegant, comfortable and family friendly house we will definitely return to :-) - A clean, comfortable, convenient and child-friendly accommodation complete with character and charm :-)
The two different driveways for multiple carparking with subtle lighting was useful including close access to external powerpoint to charge EV car. We should have booked more nights for a longer stay!
- Jill (10/5): Beautiful cozy home right in Walhalla - Whitlow Manor is a beautiful, roomy and cozy house in Walhalla. Nathan our host was fantastic, providing us with lots of information about the house and the local tourist attractions before our arrival. We loved the house and Nathan had thought of everything - every time I thought I had forgotten something (tomato sauce, glad wrap etc) I found it was already provided for us in the house. Would highly recommend Whitlow Manor for a family stay. Everything was great
