Guest Reviews
- Grace (9/5): -
- Amba (8/5): Enjoyed our stay immensely thank you. - First time glamping and loved the shower đ There was some rubbish in the plants around our tent.
- kerry (9/5): Excellent loved it - Location was great Bed to low to ground for us older people. And chairs where uncomfortable
- Payel (9/5): Great stay with kids - Amazing location, good facilities.. Barbecue and beds are comfortable too..
- Jennifer (7/5): Good, but no one is there to monitor noise control and didnât want to ring them at 4am - I have stayed here before. It is a great spot. Walk distance to the pub and all the town has to offer. Very noisey neighbours at 3-4am. I should of rang the owners.
- Brendan (4/5): This was not right for the money we paid - The view No car inside ground, spiders in beds , beds way to low , seating to low , did not have any access for wheelchair, this was one of the baddest we have stayed and it was on my partner bucket list and paid 160 a night
- Anna (10/5): -
- Stacey (9/5): -
- Hulya (10/5): It was a much needed fun glamping experience for the whole family - We loved everything. It was such an unforgettable experience Nothing I can think of
- Janessa (8/5): - A unique and relaxing set up. The place had everything we needed to cook dinner and keep both cool and warm as we had a range of weather for our weekend. The shower drain seemed clogged and the water took a long time to go down after a quick shower. Meaning the other person had to wait until the next day for the shower to be useable as we didnât want to flood the bathroom.
The toilet also had issues flushing, having to flush multiple times and wait for it to refill before trying flush again. Likely plumbing issue related to both shower and toilet.
- Peter (5/5): Not a retreat as there were no rules for bad parenting. - The accommodation was excellent. Other guests letting their children kick footballs about around the tents! No bbq cleaning equipment, no welcome pack and no way of contacting out of hours!
- Meagan (10/5): Weekend bliss! - This property was superb. What lovely accommodation. It was absolutely spotless with all the amenities that anyone could expect. It has been kept so well maintained, there wasnât a spiderweb in sight. Beds were comfortable and I loved the electric blanket. Kitchen has everything you could want. Wish we could have stayed the whole week. You can hear neighbouring tents (much like real camping) which is worth noting otherwise it was a perfect weekend away. Would definitely return. Being able to hear neighbouring guests/babies crying but this comes with the territory of camping anyway.

- Briana (10/5): -
- Vijay Dhamale (10/5): Premium Glamping experience - Cleanliness of the plve, nature and availability of equipment which made glamping experience premium. N/A
- Lily (8/5): -
- Pari (7/5): - Location is very nice and quite Shower was not working properly
- Hee (9/5): -
- Melani (5/5): It was a calm stay but property needs to upgrade for the money we paid - Location was great. That was the main thing we got attracted to this place and itâs worth. Cleanliness of the property is poor. Blood stains on the pillow cases , floor was not clean, some residues in the dust pan from a previous guest , not enough hand towels or enough tissues stating itâs environmental friendly. You need to take bins out and wash and dry dishes after paying a heck
- Rachel (10/5): -
- karen (8/5): We had a great time , very relaxing. - Very clean and accommodating
Quiet
Relaxing
Great for our six yr old to see the wildlife , birds and even wild goats across the river . .
Fishing was good, pretty much right out side our tent ,we caught 3 fish but unfortunately they were carp.
Extremely hot and then rainy weather made it interesting in the tent, air conditioning and the ability to unzip doors and windows was awesome so was the sound of rain on the canvas. The seating was uncomfortable in the tent , outside was ok.
Wish I took our own pillows though because the ones provided were too big.
- Jessica (7/5): - Beautiful, peaceful setting
Lovely, cozy and comfortable tents
The birds singing
Walking distance to everyting you need
Koondrook wharf
Local pub has beautiful set-up and the BEST beer garden ever!!! It's an absolute gem! Communication was absolutely minimal
- Joan (6/5): Stay was ok, the site of the retreat excellent, minor nasties that did not meet expectations - No breakfast option Broken tap lever in the shower
Fridge that did not freeze items in the freezer
The worst sofa ever, uncomfortable & very low
- Tracy (10/5): Couple retreat but we're bringing the whole family! - Unique, quirky stay with luxury amenities and beautiful surroundings.
- Danielle (9/5): Great Glamping experience, very relaxing! - Loved the location and the tent itself was amazing! The couch and outdoor furniture was quite uncomfortable
- ellie (10/5): - Beautiful escape. We loved being on the river. The glamping tents are gorgeous and comfortable. Our kids had a lot of fun. Walking distance to pub, corner store and park. A couple of little staples eg salt and pepper would have been handy. A few other guests were partying and you could hear everything through the soft fabric of the tents.
- Jennifer (10/5): Relaxing and peaceful:) - This is an amazing place. I would recommend it to anyone. Itâs very peaceful and relaxing. The only thing I could suggest is a handle inside the bathroom door but other than that, I love my stay :)
- Kylie (9/5): - Dishwasher and air con were a delightful surprise
- Mandeep (10/5): Would go back again but with a longer stay. - Excellent location and a great camping experience in comfort.
- Jan Roberts (8/5): - Great facilities, lovely interior The neighbours were noisy but then again it is a tent with no insulation. There is no reception on site so not sure what would happen if there were issues.
The communication with the property was one way and their responses seemed automatic.
- Dana (8/5): -
- Natalie (9/5): Awesome - Just an amazing getaway Being a married couple, we were put in between 2 lots of families with children. Being woken up with all the noise early in the morning wasnât ideal
- Djermanovic Family (8/5): - Loved the location, the tent was truly beautiful and comfortable. Was rainy when we arrived and the front mat could've been more sufficient to get dirt off our shoes
- Ross (10/5): Sensational, Couldn't recommend more - I booked this as a surprise getaway for my wife, and she was absolutely thrilled by the stunning surroundings and the unique glamping experience! The tents are exceptionally well laid out for comfort, and the deck with a BBQ was a highlight, allowing us to cook while enjoying the wildlife and scenery. The location is unbeatable, with an amazing pub offering fantastic meals, two cafes only a short walk away, BBQ facilities, and a nearby playground, making it perfect for families.

- Rebecca (10/5): Our first stay and we loved the facilities, location and comfort - Relaxing, warm accommodation We liked it all

- William (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gladys (9/5): Good clamping facilities close to the Murray River. - The tent & the facilities inside were really nice. It was clean & had all we needed. I had hoped for the location to be away from the town. I guess, I had not paid much attention to the location after I booked. having said that,we warmed up to the location & enjoyed ourselves.
- Casey (10/5): Stunning ! - Absolutely breathtaking! Camping with all the luxury. 10/10 accommodation. Already planning on coming back. Thankyou đ
- Sarah (10/5): Idyllic convenient setting with great facilities. - Location- quiet and peaceful in a bush setting but a short walk to pub and cafe. Rustically luxurious!
- Robyn (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leah (10/5): Exceptional - The amenities, the furniture, the shower was the best! The river view, the dim light. Not a single thing.
- Karen (5/5): Passable - Beautiful surroundings, nice and peaceful not far from amenities Beds were rock hard, not comfortable lounge and bed were to low
Bathroom shower could of been cleaned better
- Mel (9/5): Great camping style experience - Property was beautiful set against a little river self contained at the end of the caravan park The beds were a little on the hard side and the outdoor chairs were a little hard too
- Reza (10/5): Gorgeous family getaway gem - Amazing location and amenities. Couldn't fault Checkout time could be a bit later like 12pm but other than that, everything exceeded our expectations.
- Pam (10/5): My favourite getaway - Perfect location Nothing
- Brad (8/5): Relaxing, quiet and comfortable weekend. - Great location- good walking trials, lovely little town with a very good pub, local store and cafe. We thought the lower bed could have been a little less firm. Also slightly taller couch would be great. Also would have been handy to be able to drive to the tent to unload and load before parking outside.
- Leanne (9/5): Very enjoyable and look forward to the next stay, can highly recommend KGR. - Really enjoyed the accommodation which was comfortable, clean and cosy.
Beautiful outlook from the tent, overlooking a river with an abundance of sights and sounds of nature.
Fabulous experience. Bed was a little low and hard, and the lighting was a bit dull, but the experience was meant to be like camping :-)
Pity car parking was not on the property as it was a short walk with luggage etc.
- Zara (10/5): Exceptional - It was great it had everything you needed had a beautiful fire close to shops comfortable beds it was a great experience spent alot of time on the decks with nice views sad the rivers very low it was basically better then a hotel Saturday night the music from town was loud but ended up falling asleep
- Cagri (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kellie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sheril (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chenelle (9/5): Perfection - Beautiful area! Great facilities, very quiet! Will definitely return!
- Harsh (9/5): Superb - Everything was spot on. Loved the location and the tent with all the necessary facilities to make a stay comfortable.
- Mandeep (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alamjeet (10/5): Excellent - Facilities. Hot water, aircon, fan, balcony, fridge, dishwasher, cooktop, crockery, cutlery. Not much to do on site. No board games. No kids playing area.
- Tecia (9/5): Superb -
- Kim (10/5): Nice way to relax and forget the world for a couple of days. Quiet location looking over the creek. Beautiful - Location and the serenity
The air con and fan
- Walter (10/5): Definitely will book again - Just a great set up in an even prettier spot Each detail is well thought out itâs like a five star camping experience
- Rachelle (10/5): Exceptional - The tent was nice and d place too. We got in late to the accomodation and had no one there to advise of where our tent is and how to get in. Turns out, I was meant to receive a text message about it and they missed to send me it. Imagine my fright, driving 3hours and no where to stay. The phone number to be contacted as per the sign was unreachable too, it was a landline.
Finally, someone sent me a txt. They apologised.
- Jintana (8/5): It was a good experience - We stayed there as a family. There was broken glass all over the floor in the kitchen and we all stood on it on arrival so that wasnât nice. Would have been nice to have some kind of soap/body wash in the bathroom but other then that the sheets and bedding was clean and soft. The tent is beautiful perfect location for adults and kids . other then that we loved it. No soap or body wash available
Broken glass left not clean up
Aircon didnât cool the room on a hot day
- Vishal (9/5): Superb -
- Louise (10/5): If youâre after some peace and tranquillity without the camping headaches, this is just what the doctor ordered! Our fam - Loved how comfortable the gorgeous glamping tents were! I didnât like having to leaveâŚ.
- Bowerman (10/5): Exceptional - We totally enjoyed our stay so relaxing will definitely go back
- Lily (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rikki (8/5): River Serenity - On arriving to our glamping tent we had a small issue so I contacted the proprietor to inform them of the situation.
They responded immediately. They where so friendly & helpful & offered an immediate solution.... no questions asked! Absolutely fantastic service. đ
The serenity of the location is just beautiful. It was lovely to sit by the water, listen to the birds & feel very relaxed. The facilities inside the tents were great.
I found the bed very comfortable, considering I usually sleep on a soft mattress. The shower was a good size & plenty of hot water.
Being a warm weekend, it was great having a split system air-conditioner & pedestal fans to utilise.
The tents had just about everything we could need & not too far to walk into the main street of Koondrook where you'll find a brilliant cafe called The Long Paddock! You MUST go & have breakfast or lunch..... or both here as the food, the atmosphere & the entire staff are so welcoming & friendly đ
Honestly, Koondrook/Barham is a beautiful spot on the Murray to stay & recharge from city life đđłâď¸ Honestly, there wasn't too much, to be honest đ¤ˇđťââď¸..... but if I had to pick something, it was the couch inside the cabin.... not comfortable to sit & watch TV.
- Jessica (10/5): It was great comfortable defiantly will be back when we can afford to!! - Everything Nothing
- Chyanne (10/5): Exceptional - Fishing right behind the balcony and plenty of them to catch No stairs coming off the balcony
- Julie (9/5): A quiet retreat - The location was first class. very peaceful Bed uncomfortable.
- Melissa (9/5): Would be good to have a broom in the tents with the sand. - Nice and quiet
- Imran (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anita (10/5): 5 Star Shower - Koondrook was a very relaxing place to stay. The outlook from the tent was ideal, from the fish jumping to the wild goats across the creek. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was the best we have ever experienced. We would stay here again. It wasn't a problem for us, but maybe if they had a 2 rather than 3 night minimum, more people would have the opportunity to experience a stay at Koondrook.
- Melanie (9/5): Really enjoyed - Very peaceful, relaxing but not too far from things like pub, shop etc Little pricey
- Anu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Judi (9/5): Superb - We would have appreciated kitchen supplies of salt, pepper, oil, cling wrap and alfoil.
- Shafa (10/5): All good and nice - The view The river..like a dump river
- Esteban (9/5): Superb -
- Carmona (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephanie (9/5): Superb - Luxury and affordable glamping is located just right next to the river. Too close to another tent, less privacy.
- Sean (9/5): Superb -
- Johanna (10/5): Perfect family get away to reconnect - Perfect spot to unwind, there is no wifi which was good. This is the second time we have stayed here and will come back. N/a.
- B3n (10/5): Exceptional - The cleaning lady was so thoughtful heating up heater for us. Besides she's very friendly and cheerful even on her busy day when we arrived. The owner is lucky to get a very good staff , unfortunately i didn't ask for her name
- Kurvin (10/5): Definitely a great experience and will be back again - Was well equipped and the location was great We booked two tents under one booking. Just wished they were side by side but not a big deal breaker.
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebecca (10/5): Thank you for another great stay, we will be back! - The accommodation is beautiful and such a nice, peaceful spot. Although they are not on-site, the staff are very responsive and helpful. We will be back!
- Sarah (10/5): perfect glamping river getaway - Great location. Tent was amazing, we had tent 3, nice and dark in morning, bathroom and shower good and soap and shampoo conditioner provided & heaps of toilet paper, cosy with split system and electric blankets. great quality appliances and bbq, fire pit perfect for evening (we brought marshmallows) direct access to river for kayaks, easy ride to Forrest trails with bikes. would recommend to all. loved sitting on deck in front of river and hearing birds. Whilst we rate this 10/10 and donât often give a 10/10. Some little things that can be improved on- hand wash was in bathroom but none in kitchen, steak knives would be good, ditto salt and pepper (coffee tea and sugar provided, s&p would be amazing too!) and a tissue box! (luckily we had our own) No big deals but could be great extras! :)
- Rangimaria (10/5): Amazing hosts, lovely location, gorgeous glamping tent with high quality furnishings, cutlery and amenitites - The location, easy access to town, amenities and cleanliness and quality of the accomodation. The only issue we encountered was inconsiderate guests, the host was super helpful and accomodating in remedying the situation.
- Jessi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Balaji (10/5): Exceptional -
- Febian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jenni (10/5): Beautiful relaxing place - Beautiful relaxing place , everything was perfect . N/A
- Alanna (10/5): Had an amazing family holiday. Perfect location and amazing accommodation - It was everything we needed It was clean and comfortable
- Narelle (9/5): From the moment we arrived, hopped out of the cars and looked aroundâŚwe knew this was someplace specialâŚ.and thatâs even - Lovely location. Koondrook is a very pretty town. We stayed there 3 nightsâŚand after going to Echuca to spend a full day with friends one day, at one of the very large and ridiculously overcrowded caravan/camping resorts thereâŚwe were only too pleased to return to our little glamping haven.
I have done a lot of camping in my lifeâŚand although I love many aspects of campingâŚI now detest the packing of trailers, the camp set up, putting tents up, making beds etc, etc, etcâŚ.only to have to do it all in reverse when itâs time to leave.
Glamping at Koondrook meant that all I had to do was pack some clothes, toiletries & some floaties and rods for the river. Brilliant!
The balcony overlooking the creek was just perfect. The shower was heaven. The air con was a god send.
The layout inside the tent was ideal. Donât place any items (shampoo, soap bottles etc) at the top of the showerâŚ..there is a gap between the timber partition and shower wall..and things disappear and thereâs no getting them back. Would be a good idea to enclose that space somehowâŚor at least put up a sign warning visitors to not put items up there.
- Holley (10/5): Exceptional - The location was beautiful the tents where right in the river and to wake up to that view was beautiful. For me personally there was nothing that I didnât like.
- Marian (10/5): Exceptional -
