• Gerald (10/5): - Emerald Lodge is perfectly located when we travel from home to catch a cruise ship in Southampton. It's a lovely home-from-home experience for us in a very peaceful location and has everything we need. It is spotlessly clean and well maintained throughout. We are looking forward to returning again. Nothing. It was all good.

Easy access to countryside for dog walks No instructions for induction hob. No way to make coffee other than nesspresso machine (no instructions). Needed a French press or similar. The main bed was too soft

Thank you for such a fabulous stay! we would highly recommend :) We equally loved that animals were welcomed, although we did t bring our dog, we were happy to see that even our furry friend would have felt comfortable and welcomed!

• Nicholas (10/5): Fantastic accommodation especially. Great location to explore the area from. - Emerald lodge is lovely. Very nice and quiet location. Excellent facilities everything you and then some including a welcome drink. I did find it a little difficult to locate but we arrived in the dark. Maybe a small sign with be a help.

Perfect for 3, maximum 4 people - if you don't mind the second 'room' being accessed for others using the toilet/kitchen. But most of all, it was fully furnished with everything could possibly need. Nothing. This host and property is of a professional standard.

• Claire (10/5): Perfect for a night away for a family of four. - Pretty much everything. The accommodation was spotless and beautifully decorated. It had everything we needed to stay for the night. Nothing to dislike.

Sofa bed very good and very cleverly designed so easy to construct. Dog made welcome (with certain reasonable conditions). Not much. We couldn't get the toaster to work but that may have been operator error.

• Benjamin (10/5): Wonderful little hideaway, perfect for couple of nights - Lovely place to stay overnight, comfy, cosy and quite exactly what we needed. Clear instructions on how to find it, nice and easy entry, would recommend staying here. The drive was a little tight with overgrown bushes but other than that it was brilliant place to stay.

• Christine (6/5): Convenient as stopover between Cornwall and London. Obviously was suiting families with young children. - Proximity to Montacute House when no vacancies in village. Some attractive country views and lake adjacent. Toilet not working properly - left with reception to deal with on leaving. Step outside room had unexpected drop one side causing husband to fall. Breakfast basic though cooked food passable.

• Faye (9/5): Beautiful apartment to explore Dorset - Beautiful apartment in a great location to visit Dorset. It was 30mins from Lulworth Cove/Durdle Door and also Weymouth. Lovely extra touches eg games cupboard, mini gin and tonics, tea, coffee and milk, blanket basket, tower fan in bedroom (could do with a 2nd one in lounge for those on sofa bed). Didn't bring our dog this time but great to see they are welcome and there's bits out for them too. Bed super comfy and the whole place is beautifully decorated. Such a pity the local pub had closed down but the Spar shop is about 100yards away, open 7 days and seemed well stocked. Just a 1 night stay for us this time, but will be recommending to others. Thank you:)

• Brian (9/5): Superb - Amazing Apartment. Clean, well presented, and plenty of space. I'm just being really picky here because the place was really nice, but access up the side is really tight for larger cars, so perhaps a note somewhere would have been nice. The shower drainage is also not really quick enough, and water quickly pools towards the door.

• Natalie (10/5): You can’t go wrong by booking this place - Perfectly placed for surrounding areas such a as Dorchester, Lulworth Cove, Corfe Castle etc. the place was immaculate and well equipped and we were even left homemade cake on arrival! And a pub just a stones throw away.
