- Jason (10/5): - Great view lovely cosy cottage the owner has though of everything you would need brilliant stay Nothing
- Leigh (10/5): - Everything, the location was perfect with lovely views over Holmfirth.
The cottage is impeccable, well stocked kitchen, with treats and spare toiletries which a nice touch.
Parking is possible on the road, but the road is right so care needed.
- Angela (10/5): Lovely relaxing stay in a very clean cosy cottage - Everything Nothing to dislike
- Adrian (10/5): -
- Jason (10/5): Always the best stay - Fantastic as always Nothing
- Lois (10/5): -
- Teodora (10/5): Very cosy and very homely. - The location was incredible, amazing views with some coffee shops near by. Very easy to get to.
- Carl (10/5): Holmfirth is a stunning beautiful Yorkshire town and Brook Cottage made out stay just perfect - We loved our stay at Brook Cottage, it was the little things that made it a home from home such as milk tea and coffee, lovely comfort especially the bed There really wasn’t anything we disliked about Brook Cottage at all
- Ian (10/5): -
- Alison (10/5): Perfect break. Great cottage -
- Richard M R Smith (8/5): Very cosy, conveniently located accommodation with good host. - Close proximity to the town, yet quiet. Appreciated the small notes, the night lights on the landing and the variety of toiletries! I am large and not as nimble as I was so climbing in and out of the large comfy bed that was wedged into the bedroom space took a bit of sleepy concentration!
- Dean (9/5): - Quiet location. Close to local facilities Slight issue with the hot water was warm not hot.
- antony (7/5): tucked away - lovely property ,good quality stuff hard to find ,bed too bog for space (hard to get in and out)
- Martin (10/5): - Excellent property. Very clean, friendly and informative host. Ideal location. -
- Claire (10/5): Fantastic! - A beautiful little cottage in a great, quiet location but so close to the town. The property was exceptionally clean and had everything needed. The little extra touches were appreciated too. Even the guitar was tuned! Mandy is a warm, welcoming and a helpful host. We will always look to stay at Brook Cottage when we come back to Holmfirth again. We highly recommend :-)
- Justin (10/5): Perfect will hopefully return again soon. - Beautiful character cottage in a perfect location, easy access to all the local bars and attraction’s. Personally nothing I didn’t like. There are however quite a lot of steps and steep cobble paths to negotiate if that’s a problem for you.
- Ella (10/5): Fantastic, if I could rate it 20/10 I would. - The amenities, Mandy has most definitely gone the extra mile with the great little extras. It was so cosy and the kitchen is great. Nothing! The property is perfect- clean and homely.
- Kate (9/5): -
- melanie (10/5): Perfect! - Had a lovely time in Brook Cottage, very cozy & clean & super close to Holmfirth which is beautiful. Perfect for us 😀 Nothing really but if I had to be picky then I would say the roads to get to the cottage are steep & narrow however that would not put us off going again. We have a big long car so made it more tricky for us.
- Sadie (10/5): A cosy little cottage in a perfect location, and every tiny little detail has been thought about. Mandy provided everyth - The location, and a cute little cottage with everything you could possibly need has been thought about. Nothing, it’s perfect
- Claire (10/5): Cosy cottage with amazing views. - What a beautiful little cottage. Very clean, comfortable and amazing views. Mandy has thought about everything so all we had to do was put the kettle on and relax! Ideally located for Picturedrome!
We will definitely come back! It was raining and couldn't park on the lane so had to quickly drop off husband then you have steps to walk down. However auto lights came on which helped hugely!
My husband sruggled getting into bed as not much room around bed, but appreciate the cosy cottage and bigger bed!
- Martin (9/5): - Great location Parking but we’re aware of this before booking
- David (10/5): Welcoming cosy cottage. - This was our first stay at Brook cottage. The cottage has a wonderful homely feel to it. The cottage was immaculately tidy and clean upon arrival.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cottage and the visit to Holmfirth and will definitley be back again. Nothing.
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional as always and all credit due -
- Alex (9/5): Wonderful and relaxing - Lovely cosy cottage in a great location in Holmfirth with wonderful view The only feedback is that the duvet was only just wide enough for the bed so we kept fighting over it in bed. But that’s only a very minor concern.
- Malcolm (10/5): -
- Jason (10/5): Fantastic as always -
- Kathryn (8/5): Great location and view of the town - Fantastic location and exceptionally clean Nothing important- parking an issue to be considered
- lardwarrior1969 (10/5): - Loved all the little brown labels telling you what switch did what and where to put your towels. Very useful, and not as common as you would imagine. If you're not very fit, or find steps and stairs difficult - the property is not easy to get too. But it's worth it if you can.
- Nadine (10/5): - Clean, tidy and very comfortable. Mandy was great host and lovely to deal with.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Cute - Convenient location, very clean, lovely outside area overlooking Holmfirth, quiet, comfortable and great communication with the owner. Nothing.
- Bernadette (10/5): A very enjoyable stay , would highly recommend. Wonderful welcoming base for self catering . - Clean , Quiet and with a lovely view of the village and beyond. The perfect cottage for our stay … spacious & comfortable …..coffee & tea provisions & a basket of toiletries for use if needed . Nice touches …. milk supplied for a brew & some useful notes dotted around for extra info . Host was most informative prior to arrival date and day of departure. We loved everything!…..
If a negative was to be found , which there wasn’t for us …. this may not suit anyone who struggles with steps .
- Marten (9/5): Heel erg fijn! - Hele mooie locatie, erg vriendelijke host! Zou het niet weten
- David (9/5): -
- Jones (9/5): - Great place to stay. The parking is not easy near it! And the steps down to it are steep and uneven but well worth the effort. Great little terrace at front with seating for that glass of wine
- Ruth (9/5): Vary comfortably stay - All the little extra touches on hand if you have forgotten anything
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (10/5): Beautiful cottage.thoughtful owner - Spotless. They thought of everything. Good friend on communication from the owner. Nothing
- Rushforth (10/5): Lovely cottage in a beautiful location - Clean and cosy and lovely views N/a
- Becky (9/5): Perfect getaway location - Lovely comfortable homely cottage in the middle of the town. Everything you need for a great stay! Bed was so comfy! Parking in the town is a bit of a nightmare, unfortunately! We didn't manage to get a spot outside the cottage for the whole stay. We ended up parking down on the main road and walking up and down to the cottage.
- Jane (10/5): Super accommodation for two people - great attention to detail by just - Lovely central location - easy access to town
- Sandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Douglas (10/5): Beautiful traditional cottage. - Beautiful cottage, clean and exceptionally well equipped evening down to a selection of teas, real coffee and chopsticks! The communication from Mandy was spot on. The description and photos pointed out the steps to the property. They are as described! They are original (old) and a little uneven. If you are like us and each approaching 80, then you need to use the handrail, but it still doesn't detract from the property.
- Derek (9/5): Superb -
- Jason (10/5): Just simply perfect - Several visits now, if I could rate it higher than 10 in every way possible I would. Just the best experience in an amazing part of the country
- Dominic (10/5): Made a sad occasion more pleasant. - Very thoughtfully presented. People always forget some toiletries, arrive late and are stranded for food & drink etc. Really appreciated the thought of leaving emergency provisions. Nothing. Steps weren’t ideal but can’t be helped.
- Chris (10/5): Beautiful cosy cottage,perfect location.will definitely stay again -

- Lee (8/5): Very good -
- Nick (9/5): Fabulous little cottage in a great location - Great location, even if it is a bit of a steep walk down to town..! 🤣 Parking was very tricky in a very narrow lane but, didn’t detract from our stay
- Baker (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location, view comfort decor. I could live there 👍👍 Nothing
- Lesley (10/5): Great cottage and great location. - Location was great for the town - and the venue we were attending for a gig. It was spacious for a one bedroom cottage, comfortable, clean - really lovely and had everything we needed. The host provided fresh milk in the fridge for our arrival, and was very helpful and eager to be of assistance.

- Sarah (10/5): Perfect - Excellent location for our visit to the Picturedrome. Brook cottage was exceptionally clean and so cosy on a cold wet December evening. The host Mandy had thought of everything, it was a real home from home. We look forward to our next stay. There was nothing we didn’t like.
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional - It was just perfect The steps down but a small point
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tina (9/5): Gorgeous cottage in a picturesque area - The cottage is gorgeous. Mandy the host was very helpful and provided plenty of information. She replied quickly to any questions. She also supplied lots of essential items like, tea, coffee, sugar, milk, biscuits, ice cubes, sweets, shampoo, shower gel etc. This was a lovely touch. The cottage is spotless and has everything you could think of inside. An iron and board, microwave, toaster, oven, hairdryer, umbrella and many more items. The views were amazing. We loved our stay here and we would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Holmfirth. The steps down to the cottage are very steep. This would be a struggle for anyone with problems with their legs.
- Sophie (10/5): Cute and cozy with great views - The fact there was everything I needed I didn’t have to bring anything other than my clothes and wash bag it’s so cozy and comfy and very very clean also there’s internet and a lot of places don’t have to so means I can work from there on my laptop which is great Nothing at all

- Linda (10/5): A little hidden Gem 💎 - The location is perfect...The cottage is beautiful and so comfortable with lovely little touches that makes it feel home from home..Thanks Mandy 😊 Can't fault anything... You can't improve on perfection 🌟
- Gail (10/5): What a little gem. - What a little gem. Perfect for an overnight stay for 2. Cosy, comfortable and clean with some lovely touches. Thank you to our lovely host, Mandy. Nothing really. Parking is a bit narrow on the road. Not a problem for us because we had a little car, but it wouldn't be suitable for a large SUV.
- Alexandra (9/5): We will be back. The town is fab, such a lovely vibe and the owner was lovely. - Cute property, very well equipped with a very comfy bed. I didn’t mind, but access to the front door is down small steep steps (the whole town is built on hills). Parking is tight so we chose to park up the hill a bit on a wider bit of road (still free).
- Meibo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wendy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Frazzieboy (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location to explore the area.
Beautiful cottage and spotlessly clean.
- Janine (10/5): Fabulous little cottage!! - A really comfortable little cottage, very clean, with everything you need for self-catering. Little notes everywhere to help you find and use things. The night lights are a fab idea. Chocolates, coffee, tea etc and even toiletries in case you forget something. Thank you!
- Deborah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (10/5): Idyllic central comforts of home - Absolutely perfect cottage everything catered for with best quality from the linen to the kitchen paper immaculately clean setting beautiful will highly recommend and will return
- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alison (10/5): Lovely cottage - Beautiful clean cottage with all home comforts.
Short walk down to village centre.
Nice sitting out watching the world go by.
Comfortable bed. You need to be able to cope with lots of steps to enjoy staying here, quite steep up from village to cottage which I didn't find easy as I was recovering from an injury, which I didn't have when I booked.
- Sharon (10/5): Great little place, exceptional hostess. - A cosy, clean, lovely little place in the centre of town that was quiet despite how close to the centre it is. Nice to sit outside and admire the views. Hostess was exceptional, I had to cancel a day, she was so helpful and friendly. She gave us recommends on where to eat and lots of little extras to make you feel welcome. The few minutes walk into the actual centre is a delight, down quirky little back streets that give you a real flavour of this bustling little town. The lane to the place is narrow and difficult to park on, so we parked on a long stay carpark in town a few minutes away so not a big deal. Steps to accommodation have a little lip at the top so had to remember to be cautious. We were expecting quite steep steps though as it was made clear on the information on booking.com, part of the place being quaint.
- Diane (9/5): Superb - Mandy's cottage was warm, cosy, very comfortable and exceptionally clean. We loved it.
- Paul (10/5): A lovely c - Very close to the centre of the village with great views. Cosy cottage with all required facilities Although fine for us, the steep steps down to the cottage and slope into the village may be difficult for some people.
- Amanda (10/5): Second time staying here - Lovely little cottage with everything you need. This was our second stay in this cottage as we loved it so much last time.
Great views over Holmfirth town and a short walk to get there. Just be aware of parking on Back Lane itself, it's tight!
- David (10/5): Great property & I wouldn’t hesitate to stay her again. They’ve literally thought of everything - It was immaculate inside & just felt like a home, really homely! Parking
- Jaine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christopher (10/5): perfect cottage, with everything we needed and more - perfect in every way
- Andy (10/5): Absolutely lovely. Couldn't fault anything with this property, the location in Holmfirth or the tow - The location is fantastic, the property is amazing.
- Robert (10/5): Amazing peaceful place. Highly recommended. - Host attention to detail - snacks, milk, chocolate, etc..
Lovely location. Lovely view.
Very clean and homely.
As musicians, it was great to have a guitar to play!
Peaceful.
Comfortable bed.
Warm and cosy.
Great communication with the owner. We didn’t want to leave! We hope to come back one day.
