Guest Reviews
- Laura (10/5): Very quaint and comfortable setting all in all. Would recommend to others - The layout of the property. The bed was really comfortable too. Gift basket was a lovely touch. Parking was a bit tight when more than 2 vehicles were there. Only 1 sheet of tin foil that we had to re-use. Front door was a bit sticky but could have been user error
- Jenny (10/5): Relaxing stay with our 2 dogs, nice walks just around the corner, would definitely recommend here for a nice chill out - Modern, homely, relaxing, beautiful, we would definitely stay again Nothing, it was lovely
- DIANE (9/5): - Lovely little barn conversion. Tastefully decorated, comfy bed, outdoor seating with fantastic views. Great communication with the owners from the point of booking to.throughout stay.
The barn is right at the start of Snake Pass so could be too noisy for some, but didn't bother us. I would stay here again. If I was being picky, I would have appreciated some shower gel and a pint of milk as I had to go out and buy both.
- Ethan (8/5): Relaxing ans enjoyable with fantastic countryside views. - The views outside are incredible and the property itself is very well furnished with great facilities. More than enough inside to cook meals if you wish or to plate up takeaway food. We weren’t short of anything during our stay. The road noise is high in the evening due to the location but if you can wear earplugs to bed it’s not an issue.
- Craig (10/5): - Incredible views, great location. Property done to a high standard and had everything you could want. Nothing!
- Kelly (10/5): -
- Chevonne (10/5): Beautiful stay and location - Absolutely stunning location and beautiful place to stay. We came here 2 years ago and loved it so much when we decided to visit the Peaks again we had to come back here. Can't recommend it enough

- Rachael (10/5): - We stayed in Ladybower Cottage and it was stunning. It was clean and had everything we needed. The location is just perfect also, the views from the door are so picturesque. We had breakfast outside next to the golf course and we were actually really sorry we had to leave.
Emma and Sophie were so friendly and helpful I cannot recommend this place highly enough. There's nothing we didn't like. It was just perfect.

- Daniel (10/5): Amazing property, great location. Very thoughtful hosts. - Property looks amazing and the interior is decorated very nicely. The location is great and is very close to an amazing hike that we did on our second day.
Lots of information about local landmarks and places to visit given by the hosts which was also very welcome.
Loved waking up to an amazing view every morning and also lots of essentials in the property that we wouldn’t even have thought of. The place was also very clean.
Already trying to think how and when we could come back here again. Nothing, loved our time here.
- Zach (10/5): Excellent property - The location is perfect, perfect little apartment for a couple, plenty of wild walks nearby, good pubs serving good food. We couldnt stay longer
- Paul (9/5): Superb - Nice and calm.
- Ivo (8/5): Very good - Very nice and modern property, clean Our room was near a very busy road with a lot of noise in the evening, even when the windows were closed.
- Winegumz (10/5): Fabulous cottage - This is an absolute gem. This cottage is decorated to a high spec, and the exposed features of the beams definitely give it a 'wow' feeling. The views are incredible. Unfortunately, the weather did not allow us to sit outside and admire the view, but we would definitely come back to experience the outdoor space. There were nice touches with a welcome basket of food, and it was well equipped with spices and sauces. Thank you for that.
Despite the weather, we ventured out and had a pleasurable 3 hour walk. The bed was a little soft for my liking.
- Dalia (8/5): Great place to relax and enjoy nature - The house had everything we needed for a relaxed getaway.
Location was great near hiking trails and close to town.
The welcome box and all the information was appreciated. The house seemed bigger in the pictures, nonetheless it had enough space for us and our dog.
The mattress was too soft for us.
- Donna (7/5): A great base for exploring - Clean, comfortable, well-appointed, stylish Little view from lounge, parking adequate but tricky (hard to turn the car around to get out)
- Hannah (10/5): Exceptional - Exceptional accommodation, such a relaxing place to stay with everything you need.
- Sukvir (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicola (10/5): perfect location for a break - excellent location, barn was really lovely, so clean and of very high standard. would definitely recommend and will be visiting again. Emma the host was very friendly and helpful. Lots of walks nearby and nice restaurants, bars and coffee shops in Glossop. there was nothing, everything great
- Liz (9/5): Superb -
- Scott (10/5): Lovely stay, happy to stay again - The property is clean tidy and modern, with good views across the valley(golf course) owner very happy to help with any needs that may arise
- Penny (10/5): Beautiful cottage with stunning views - This is a gorgeous place to stay. The cottage is done to a high spec with beautiful views of the Glossop countryside. We stayed for 3 days to get away from our city lives and this was perfect. Only a short walk to local pubs and restaurants but far enough away for peace and quiet. We will definitely be coming back.
- Catherine (10/5): Fabulous stay , would recommend - Beautiful location . Very clean and modern . Lovely barn conversion Nothing
- Dave (10/5): lovely 3 night stay close to the Peak District, in a exceptional cottage - Lovely cottage, set right at the edge of Glossop and the start of the Peak District, Shops and pubs close by and not far from any of the places you may want to visit in the peak district.
- Ana (9/5): Superb - Easy check in. Looks like the pictures. Cosy surroundings. Very clean. Warm house!
- Tiberiu (10/5): It was excellent - Quiet , surrounded by nature
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chevonne (10/5): Beautiful stay with everything you could need - The holiday let is absolutely beautiful and immaculately presented. The way it's been decorated is stunning and they've included everything you need for a comfortable stay. Emma's communication with us during our trip was great and the level of detail in her welcome folder was so helpful. The accommodation is a 20 minute walk into town and surrounded by great hiking trails. We went up to the Higher Shelf Stones and crash site and hiked over Kinder Scout into Edale, all starting at the holiday let. We felt a little sad leaving because we'd had such a great time!
- Smith (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amanda (9/5): Superb -
- Carla (9/5): Superb -
- Karen (8/5): We really enjoyed our stay & wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. I would recommend to family & friends. - Location was great with far reaching views. Accommodation was inviting & comfortable. Well thought out & the kitchen was well stocked with essentials. Nice welcome pack. Hosts provided excellent information on the area, with walks, where to eat out & were to order food from to eat in. Plenty of menus & direction to pubs etc. Plus routes to walk & enjoy. Plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy views weather permitting. There could have been more hanging space for longer dresses. Perhaps a couple of hooks on the wall in the alcove by the bedroom window. I had to hang them inside the bathroom door which wasn’t ideal.
- Jonathan (8/5): - Although the property wasn't where we had originally chosen (and traffic noise wasn't ideal), Emma was super-helpful, and cottage was lovely. Had far more creature comforts than we expected, and lots of really nice touches with supplies in the kitchen and bathroom. The fact we were able to park in teh pub car park next door also removed the worry of parking on the tiny street.
Can't fault all the small little things that were done to make the stay better - fantastic host!
- Andrew (9/5): Super little terraced house, great views, lovely location, convenient for all needs - Super location with lovely views across the valley. Local pub with good food 50 yds away. Accommodation had a good range of facilities. Host Emma was exceptional. Small point. Satellite TV rather than just Internet Netflix channels would be good
- Tina (10/5): a lovely place to stay vwry relaxing - The property had everything you need.
Also comfy bed and a lovely shower.
- Matthias (10/5): Perfect. Super start to honeymoon - Amazing View!
Clean, well equipped, nice barn features to the property
Close to Manchester airport Not sure if can walk thru the golf course.
Mattress a little soft for our personal taste
No microwave in kitchen
- Ruth (9/5): Peaks Trip - Absolutely everything was up to standard and expectations. The setting, facilities and decor were great. How short our stay was!
- Shannon (10/5): Bottoms cottage - HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COTTAGE. LIKED Everything especially the cottage, absolutely stunning and lovely area, the lady was so kind and lovely to us, loved everything about the place we stayed in HIGHLY RECOMMENDED apart from being in a different location than what it stated on booking.com
Wasn't the ladies fault it was booking.coms for not informing before booking that it isn't at the location stated. Planned everything around the original 1st location for my partners surprise 30th birthday 2 night stay and our engagement. IT WAS WORTH THE MONEY. WE WENT ON SOME LOVELY WALKS AND GOT SOME AMAZING VIEWS FROM THE PROPERTY WINDOWS.. VERY CLEAN. Lovely area but dont recommend if you smoke or dont look like a local, got funny looks from some people and neighbour was rude just because i was a smoker which i smoked away from all properties in the allocated smoking area by the bins and he still had a problem with me because apparently the smoke travels through cars that are on the other side of the drive directly in front of the cottages and makes them smell so I kindly moved off the whole avenue to smoke, DONT RECOMMEND if you are elderly smoker or disabled smoker.. Ended up at the other side of glossop than originally planned, no shops except 1 and no cafes for breakfast except 1 they only did toasted teacakes and everything else to eat out and stuff wasn't open until Thursday in that area, you had to do over an hour walk to get somewhere to eat in the morning and evening, If you did want to eat out then there was only 1 pub open on the Monday-Wednesday but that was lovely but a 30 minute walk minimum. RECOMMEND TAKING YOUR OWN FOOD. We only stayed Monday to Wednesday too which was a shame. Definitely going back in the coming months though despite the neighbour which the owner of the cottage should speak to as he didn't seem too nice with us and he could potentially drive people away from staying. didnt like the lack of shops, food places etc.. OVERALL LOVELY OWNER AND COTTAGE AND AREA..
- Kevin (10/5): Had a lovely time at Bottoms Cottage would stay again - Lovely clean little cottage, nicely decorated
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location with spectacular views - if you want to have a round or two of golf, its on the door step.
