Guest Reviews
- STEPHEN (9/5): excellent accommodation for a few days fishing superb value for money -
- Susan (9/5): - Super location, beautiful house. Plenty of space. Just little things like the door is very awkward to lock and unlock, light switches were mostly inconveniently behind doors so you had to enter a room and close the door to put the light on! Tea and coffee are provided but we found just 1 tea bag and some very old coffee! However, nothing major.

- Alexandra (8/5): Lovely little house in quiet location - Lovely quiet location.
Convenient shops.
Great shower. Would have appreciated some instructions for the oven and dishwasher.
Garden not really usable in its current condition.
- Sue (7/5): Good - Good location but parking is on street and limited.
- Colin (9/5): Great little find. Located close to town in a quiet Street. - What a great little find! 7 minutes walk to the town and on a nice road. Parking outside is free, and we found a space near the property every day on our return from visiting family and friends. Well-serviced kitchen with tea, coffee, spices, and herbs in the cupboard. The house is very clean, the furniture is comfortable, and the shower is perfectly acceptable. The price is very agreeable, and we will definitely be using the house for future visits Not a downside, but worth noting that the stairs are steep and not very wide. This could prove a challenge for the less able-bodied.
- Jade (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leslie (8/5): Very good -
- Stefan (10/5): Lovely big house walkable to town centre - Excellent spacious well decorated and well furnished house, I loved all the motivational and inspirational quotes in picture frames all over . Long back garden nice to sit out in but not totally enclosed for dogs . The back door is used to access the place which is through a ginnel because the settee in the living room is right up against the front door but this wasn't a problem as it felt safer gaining access at the back. Big fridge freezer in the kitchen with loads of cupboard space too. Comfortable settees in the living room. The bedroom was well nice with a comfortable mattress.
- Karen (8/5): Great stay, walking distance to town, quiet area. - Excellent location, easy access to town on foot.
Peaceful, no noisy neighbours
Exactly as the photographs
Ease of check in and out
Sharp kitchen knives ( very rare to find these in self catering places normally)
Helpful hosts Light switches to rooms are behind the hinge side of all doors, difficult to find in the dark.
Twin room beds are low to the floor, so not great for those with bad hips or knees.
- Leslie (9/5): Superb -
- Leslie (8/5): Very good -
- Nikie (9/5): Great home, well decorated. - Big comfy sofas, nicely decorated, good location for town, Two good sized bedrooms. (Sofa downstair could have acted as another bed if required) Quite location. Great sized dinning area with board games. Hand rail on stairs. Space in dinning room to put big dog bed ... Grass area for dogs on lead. The galley kitchen was very tight and awkward to cook in. Would have liked to have two sets of keys so I didn't have to keep locking up / opening up the door if others went out... i.e to walk the dog.
- Samuel (9/5): Superb -
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Michaela (10/5): Perfect x - Smart property, lots of space and everything you need for a comfortable stay x Funny little night light in the bedroom, that lights up when you move π«£ other than that, itβs perfect x
- Leslie (8/5): Very good -
- Sally (8/5): Really enjoyed the property - n/a The heating was on a timer and as it was winter and we are from a warm climate found it a bit chilly
- Leslie (8/5): Very good - EVERYTHING YOU WOULD NEED
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Derek (9/5): very enjoyable and relaxing - Normally book a hotel for work overnight stays, so this was different and a lot better than staying in a large corporate hotel steps a steep but that it due to the age of the property
- Carol (10/5): Long weekend visiting family - This is a lovely place to stay with everything you need, we absolutely love it here and have stayed a couple if times when visiting family.
- Briony (10/5): Easy to stay very chilled out - Lovely friendly neighbours. Great garden It was all good
- Christina (9/5): Superb -
- Keeper's (8/5): Very good -
- Mandy (8/5): Very good - Everything House was freezing even with heating on
- Carol (10/5): 3 SISTERS . - Everything was perfect, and it was so well equipped you could live there. The furniture was top quality as we're all the fixtures and fittings. Beds were very comfortable too . We will certainly be back. Also it was a short walk to the centre if newark.
Although we didn't use the garden it was huge with a swing bed and big barbecue which would be great in the summer.
The host was on call so you could ask anything and he did pop round to sort out the heating for us
- Ann (10/5): Exceptional - Was on a nice quiet road very close to ammenities. Didnt use the car for two days as a large park close by to walk the dog and short walk into town. Supermarkets really close. Nice to have a long back garden in a terrace house. Comfy bed and quiet so had good nights sleep. Nothing.
- Valerie (10/5): So impressed with Jubilee House! - Wow...so impressed with Jubilee House that within 10 minutes we were trying to book it again for our pre-Christmas visit to Newark. Unfortunately already full ! Will definitely be our first choice in future though. Has everything you could wish for, agree that photos don't do it justice. Spotless, great decor, great location. Hint: someone couldn't find cups...they are there but are made of glass so tend to blend in with other glasses! Well if you insist...just be careful on the stairs..they are a little steep and shallow.
Apart from that PERFECT.
- Caroline (10/5): Was just perfect - It is absolutely stunning in the perfect area literally 2-5 minute walk from town centre it is spotless not a fault so I have
- Harry (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anne (9/5): Very enjoyable, lovely fixtures and fitting and nice extra touches. Thank you π - Good location. Easy parking. Nice layout in the property. All you need for a great holiday. We found the size of the sofas a bit difficult to manoeuvre on and off. Probably my age. ππ
We brought our dog and would have loved an enclosed part to the garden.
- Grace (10/5): Excellent property in a great location - The property is well equipped, incredibly clean and well located. The hosts have thought of everything a visitor may need. The property is beautifully decorated. I would recommend Oscars Inn, 5 minutes walk from the house. We also had the pleasure of meeting the neighbours who were very welcoming and offered us some recommendations for our visit in addition to the many the hosts had provided!
- Kerry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vicki (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeanette (9/5): Lovely property for a family stay. - It was immaculately clean and had everything you could need. Looked exactly like the pictures. I didn't realise there was a downstairs toilet too, so that was a lovely surprise! As was the pint of milk left for us in the fridge π Nothing!
- Wesley (10/5): Excellent stay and value, home - Excellent communication between me and the host David. The property looks better in person even though the photos sum up the property beautifully. Nothing short of excellent. Nothing
- Sarah (10/5): Lovely in every way!!! - The property was very clean and very well presented. It had everything, except for coffee/tea cups. The milk was very much appreciated and the sweets. Great location for walking to the town centre. Would definitely stay again. Nothing.
- Fiona (9/5): We were only there for 1 night. It was exceptionally clean and well equipped . All newly decorated - The location and facilities were spot on Couldn't get the TV to work and parking was a bit pot luck
- Steven (8/5): Very good -
- Genita (9/5): Spectacular modern house in great condition, well equipped and easy to access. Definitely recommend! - The house was in immaculate condition, and a very decent size too. It looked exactly like the photos, probably slightly better which is always a plus. I liked the addition of the board games they had, and the wall art full of inspiring quotes and positivity. A slightly later check-out was accommodated for which was super helpful. Host was also very responsive and helpful. The only issue we struggled with was getting the tv to work, we tried for quite some time playing around but it didn't seem to work. We also struggled slightly with finding a parking spot but eventually found one not too far away.
- Dignum (9/5): Superb - The acomodation was very good . The location was close to the centre and within easy walking distance. The hosts were very helpful and friendly and we would recommend this acomodation to anybody. Nothing to dislike.
- Robert (10/5): We had a great time and would thoroughly recommend Jubilee House. - Very well appointed house and well equipped. Extremely smart and comfortable.
