Guest Reviews
- Karen (7/5): Nice stay in the Barossa - Comfortable beds, big house with lots of entertaining areas, clean, well equipped self contained house. Quiet location with good block out shutters. Very squeaky floor boards,
- Alan (7/5): Good value for money and a pleasant experience for the family - We had plenty of space. Melanie made it very easy to check in and out. Cutlery was very cheap. Forks were almost straight . Some better second hand stuff would have been great. I don’t think there was a dishwasher there
- Alysha (10/5): - Clean, spacious place. Great for a group of friends or a couple of families. Location was perfect.
- Zara (9/5): Comfy house in a great location for exploring the Barossa -
- Siddhartha (10/5): -
- Jacqueline (9/5): A great stay in the Barossa. - Good location, roomy, easy instructions for access to the property.
- Ellie (10/5): Homburg Haven is a well appointed comfortable stay in the beautiful Barossa Valley. - Very well appointed, spotlessly clean and spacious with 3 bedrooms, separate dining area and sunken lounge area. Situated in Tanunda, a short drive to other Barossa towns. Cannot fault!
- Kathryn (10/5): Loved it and wished we had stayed longer. - Everything. What a great house. It was clean, so big and my kids loved the games room! The location was perfect for doing wine tastings/ Nothing. It was amazing.
- Trudy (10/5): - Lovely location, close to amenities, comfortable house, clean. Could have had better quality cutlery, however not a huge issue.
- Courtney (10/5): Weekend away for Downhill MTB State finals. - Very nice, comfy and simple setup. Loved the backyard and cubby for my son. Dryer was a bonus and so was the ducted heating! Very homey, would definitely book again.
- Roslyn (8/5): -
- Janet (5/5): Nicely presented house but had a few flaws. Luckily we were able to switch bedrooms - Cleanliness House was very cold, Master bedroom bed was broken (slats on the ground) so could not be used. TV was hard to use and could not watch channel 7 without scanning a QR code and then watching on our phones! Free to air TV was not available.

- Rogers (7/5): - The house was spacious, clean & comfortable & nicely furnished .. The ducted heating was very good as it was very cold windy wet weather .. The garage extending to the undercover area was particularly good due to the 3 days of rain .. Also, the sofa bed in the games room worked well for our group as we are all mature singles .. Generally happy with the accommodation ..
Probably the most difficult was not being able to open the sliding door of the dining/kitchen .. It would not open without a big struggle to close as well & needs repairing.
Suggest an extra bathmat, & one or two more towels, & sheets for the sofa bed would have been helpful ..
Also, we were surprised that there were no plastic containers, with lids to match, for keeping leftovers in the fridge .. Preferable to using glad wrap these days ..
A few more details / photos re bed configurations & explaining where the sofa bed was located would have been helpful ..
Overall, it was a good choice for us as a family of 5 mature singles .. Thankyou
- Brendan (9/5): Mel was fantastic. Prompt replies to all contact we had - Location was great.
- Moore (10/5): The property fulfilled all our requirements with extra if needed. - The property fulfilled all our requirements with extra if needed. We were more than happy with the cleanliness of the accommodation and we found it a very relaxing enjoyable weekend in the Barossa Valley staying in a "homely" feeling house. Hosts response and communication was all done in a timely & polite manner.
- Esther (10/5): Excellent house, very clean, great facilities for a family stay - Very clean 3 bedroom house. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and bedding, clean bathroom with shampoo/conditioner/body wash supplied. Washing machine and dryer excellent condition with laundry detergent supplied. Our teenagers especially loved the games room, with pool table, dart board, large tv and board games, a definite bonus for this accommodation. Nothing
- Hann (8/5): Very good - Only one toilet for 3 rooms
- Dianne (8/5): Very good - We had trouble with heater working properly
- Alanah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - Clean, well equipped and sizeable. Although it was very cold the reverse cycle heating was efficient and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with dishes, utensils and spacious. It had a large games rooms with heating. Nothing.
- Peggy (9/5): Superb - Sparkling clean, spacious and great location..Beds were super comfortable
- Donna-maree (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, clean and had everything we needed.
- Stephen (9/5): Very comfortable and well appointed accommodation. - Location was quiet and away from the main street, Quiet at night, so good for sleeping. The garage door could not be unlocked, which would have been better (we had an electric car)
- Rebecca (10/5): Great family friendly home - Wonderful location, great amenities, they have thought of everything you might need. The outdoor spaces and rumpus room were great for travelling with a family.
- Heidi (8/5): Very good - Handy location - plenty of room for a family Main bed, lounge and dining set all poor quality
- Fuk (7/5): Good -
- Monique (9/5): Value for money - Good location, clean and tidy. Enjoyed the pool table
- Natalie (9/5): Superb -
- Michelle (9/5): See likes above - Very central to town. Lovely clean and bright. Had everything we needed. Loved the pool table and dartboard. Very quiet location and very comfortable. Would come again. Thank you. Could do with an additional tea towel and hand towel … only 1 for 2 people.
- Gillian (8/5): Clean and comfortable - It was just a short stay to attend a wedding, but there was everything we needed. The beds were comfy and living space clean and open. We loved the veranda space. Squeaky floors and doors.
- Lauren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jana (9/5): Superb -
- Angela (9/5): Loved it, would highly recommend. - There is a separate backroom away from the main house for socialising with darts and a pool table that were in excellent condition. The photos did not make this evident, but was a nice surprise, along with the sofa bed in a separate room not the lounge room. Loved it, would highly recommend.
- Sarah (7/5): Good -
- Raewyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Linda (10/5): lovely house in a great location - n/a all was good
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely little house. Well presented. Clean. Has everything you need for a relaxing getaway.
- Maureen (10/5): It was nice to spend time with family - Tanunda is in the middle of the Barossa surrounded by wineries. A beautiful quiet town but also great for tourists. The local bakery was amazing and had some delicious German baked goods. The house we stayed in was very spacious with room for all to be together or have some quiet alone time. This accomodation is suited for couples, friends or family with children as cot, high chair were available and a cubby in a lawned grass area. As 4 adults a second bathroom would have been nice but we coped and thankfully the toilet was separate.
- Hughes (8/5): Would go back again - Value for money. Had good amenities No outdoor seating
- Kathleen (7/5): Good - Clean and big
- Fran (10/5): Exceptional -
- Martin (4/5): Perfect location for our return trip. The description and cleanliness were disappointing - The location The advertisement said it had 5 beds but there were only 3 double beds. We were 4 men riding motorcycles home from the MotoGP and no one was prepared to spoon. The bed in the master bedroom kept collapsing due to the wooden slats continually pulling out of the plastic mounts. There was blood on the sheets in bedroom 3. There was no LongLife milk provided.
- Sue (7/5): Good - Master bedroom bed broke as I sat on it.
- Ken (9/5): Really enjoyed the property & Tanunda was really special. The house was great & mostly everything we needed. - Location fantastic. Comfortable & spacious, beds were good, nice recreation room. Flooring was a bit noisy, toilet door squeaky, light above kitchen sink not working. Would’ve been good to have a few more towels & tee towels, also a compendium on how to use the likes of the washing machine.
- Angela (9/5): Very nice comfy home perfect for our needs. Would not hesitate in recommending, -
- Jordan (10/5): Clean and beautiful with plenty of space, we had a great time! - It was a beautiful and simple layout with plenty of bed to accommodate a group. The house was clean and had a beautiful back yard.
- Yasmin (10/5): Exceptional - The house was very neatly presented. We were greeted with fresh honey and fruit. It is walking distance to main street and was in a quiet street. Facilities were excellent with a great rumpus room.
- Kim (10/5): Very comfortable. Great host - Very clean and comfortable Nothing
- Grant (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (9/5): Lovely quiet cottage - The property was well appointed, the hosts provided all the relevant information prior to our stay. We would certainly recommend for a small group or family.
- Natasha (9/5): Great stay, would definitely go back and stay again! - Great location, lots of things to do (board games, pool table) and clean The toilet door was a bit hard to open and was hard to turn
Also we weren’t sure if the heating was working correctly in all the rooms
- Jane (9/5): Great place to stay with boys. Man cave was great! -
- Lina (9/5): We loved everything about this property. - The property was clean, spacious and well presented. Extra bonus with the outside entertainment room. The communication with the owner was great.
- Clivecherie (9/5): Great Family place - Ease of access to the property, Very Clean, great bathroom Theres nothing we didnt like
- Pie (9/5): We enjoyed our stay! - Very cosy and nicely renovated. Very clean. Quiet neighborhood. Short driving distance from shops, restaurants and wineries. Any noise from the toilet travels straight into the middle bedroom. A dishwasher would have been nice.
- Shane (10/5): Everything was perfect, will definitely stay again. Thank you -
- Sue (10/5): Exceptional - It was perfect for 2 people travelling. Very clean, fresh & comfortable & had everything we needed. We'll definitely be back again.
- Kevin (10/5): Extremely comfortable - Location was perfect, and host very helpful. Would highly recommend this property.
- Finocchiaro (9/5): Great location, large house. Felt like home and super comfortable. - We spent every night in the bar room with pool table, darts, bar and tv. The kitchen’s coffee machine was utilised regularly and the beds were amazing. Loved the sunken lounge. Only one bathroom but wasn’t a big deal.
- Bonnie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alexandra (9/5): A lovely stay - The property was clean, spacious and everything we needed was available for us. The communication with the owner was great. The property was not too far from the town and we were able to have late check out and early check in. The beds were a little uncomfortable.
- Paula (10/5): Exceptional - Cleanliness of the place, abundance of kitchen items eg utensils, glad wrap etc, scissors, salt pepper and olive oil. Perfect
- Anne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Darren (10/5): Clean lovely and easy sums up our stay. - We loved everything about this property. Nothing
