- Gillian (10/5): Outstanding property, Can definitely recommend. Ideal location only 5mins walk from the Town centre - Location Excellent, parking on street directly outside the property. Keys easily obtained from the Lockbox. Outstanding decoration-interior designing, exceptionally clean, comfortable beds in every room. Very spacious in every area. We had an issue with the television, unable to get any reception. We called the owner who visited & came to help. We would have liked some oven gloves as had to use a tea-towel to remove things from the oven. Not a criticism, constructive feedback only.

Every room was spacious and well decorated. The house layout was well throught through. Parking is on street - carpool if possible but there seemed to be enough space at the right times.

- ian (8/5): Close to centre of Pocklington - A great base for family to gather and stay for a nearby wedding. 5 minute walk to shops and 10 mis to supermarket. Plenty of places to eat out nearby. Spacious and well equipped house. No shortage of plates and glasses. Parking on roadside outside house. Noise from traffic at the front of the house. Kitchen is large and there’s 2 sitting rooms. Useful to have 3 bathrooms with good showers. Key collection easy. Instructions for rubbish and recycling would have been useful.

- Marion (10/5): Exceptional - Truly Exceptional Stay – A Home from Home in Every Way We stayed here for a special family get-together to celebrate a 60th birthday, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. There were ten of us in the party, and the property catered for us all with ease and comfort. The kitchen was outstanding—spacious, well-equipped, and more than capable of handling meals for a group of ten. It made cooking and gathering a real pleasure. The property boasts two large bathrooms plus an en suite, so there was never any waiting or inconvenience. Each bedroom is beautifully designed to a unique theme and even named, adding a personal and thoughtful touch. The furniture throughout is of excellent quality—definitely no flat-pack in sight! When it was described as a "home from home," I didn’t expect it to deliver so impressively, but it truly did. The host, Karen, was available if needed, though everything was so well-prepared that we had no issues at all. The location is second to none. The village itself is full of character and charm, with fantastic shopping from independent local businesses rather than big chains. We will absolutely be back. Highly recommended for any special occasion or just a relaxing break with loved ones. Honestly I can't report anything within this section.

- Karen (9/5): Superb - Absolutely stunning spacious house. Superb quality furnishings, comfy beds, quality bedding, comfortable sofas. The decor is beautiful. Nice fluffy towels. Google hubs in a couple of the rooms so able to play music. Very minor things that would not impact my decision to stay but would have made it perfect. No kitchen roll and salt and pepper pots empty. Had to meet at the house to get the key rather than having a security box, which could be an issue if the group splits up as only one key provided. Usually, when staying in self-catering, you get some kind of welcome pack, but none provided. Only one shower, which was in an en-suite. Hooks on the back of doors would be really handy. Lots of pillows provided, which were not needed. To cut down on laundry costs, perhaps put two pillows in plastic bags in the wardrobe so guests can use them if needed. Just some suggestions.

The owner was really nice and nothing was a bother. The only thing is that the house was so warm which would be perfect on a cold day nice and snug but it was a really warm weekend which we were lucky. The outside space was limited. None of this by any means at all spoiled our stay.

The beds are so comfy and fantastic amenities. We particularly liked the little touches like the umberellas and the fancy soap in the bathrooms. Would 100% recommend this place to anyone. Only 1 shower for a house with potentially 10 people was a problem, particularly as the shower was in the en suite! A shower over the bath in the bathroom would be a good idea. Also, some soundproofing between the bedroom with the ensuite and the shared bathroom would be a good idea.

The bedrooms were beautiful and very comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed plus some lovely extras to make us feel welcome. The owner was attentive to our needs without being intrusive. We were a group of five and felt the house had been excellent value for money. The house may not be suitable for someone who cannot manage stairs as there is no shower or bath on the ground floor. There is a downstairs toilet, however, with a large sink.
