LAURA CRISTINA (7/5): Muy buena atención - La atención recibida por el personal fue excelente. La ubicación también muy buena, pues estás cerca de la playa y de la zona de restaurantes. Las instalaciones sí están un poquito viejitas, pero creo que responde bien al equilibrio entre calidad-precio. La ducha, que al ser con calentador eléctrico, no tenía mucha presión y los chorros de agua salían disparados hacia la pared.

Isabelle (8/5): Un peu rustique mais quand même confortable - Bon emplacement au coeur de Santa Teresa et avec une entrée directe vers la plage. Les petits studios sont d'une bonne surface, on ne se marche pas dessus. Les constructions sont vieillissantes ; le parquet bouge, le carrelage de la salle de bain laisse à désirer, les équipements de la cuisine ne fonctionnaient plus tous. Les climatiseurs donnent sur les balcons donc on ne peut pas en profiter. Malgré cela, ça le fait !

Sandra (8/5): Entspanntes Hostel! - Die Anlage ist schön gestaltet. 4 kleine Häuser und dazwischen ein schöner Garten bzw. Gemeinschaftsbereich. Das Personal ist super freundlich, immer ansprechbar und hilft bei allen Anliegen. Es herrschte eine lockere, sehr entspannte Atmosphäre. Ich hatte erst ein Doppelzimmer mit eigenem Bad gebucht. Das war allerdings nicht in den kleinen Häusern, sondern in einem Bereich, wo auch die Mitarbeiter wohnen. Die Gemeinschaftsküche war etwas chaotisch, es war teilweise auch lauter als in anderen Bereichen und außerdem roch das Zimmer manchmal nach Abfluss. Ich zog dann in ein anderes Doppelzimmer mit Gemeinschaftsbad und das war viel besser. Ich teilte mir Küche und Bad nur mit einem anderen Zimmer. Spart euch also das Geld für das Zimmer mit eigenem Bad. Das war es definitiv nicht wert!

Cooking and eating place only shared by one other person . My room was at the back so I got good sleep. The staff always seemed to be there if you wanted something . There is laundry service and they helped find the times of the elusive bus! No view , but you are only across the road from the beach
Layal (5/5): Cool vibe, close to everything but don't get the private rooms - The place in general is nice, clean, jungle feel and really great placement, close to everything. The staff were lovely, really helpful. The private room I got was in the kitchen and opposite the staffs room so you can imagine the noise at night and in the morning. For the price paid, really not worth it. The bedroom was tiny, very basic, really unconfortable bed (can feel like the mental wires).

There are much better places available for the same price. - Location We were unexpectedly charged an additional 10% on arrival, which we were told was due to paying by debit card. Our room was located directly next to the kitchen, and we experienced significant noise late into the night, including loud conversations and the use of a blender until 1 am which made it very difficult to rest. The bathroom was not clean and appeared poorly maintained, giving the impression that it is not cleaned regularly.

Bilderna på boendet överensstämde inte alls med verkligheten och priset på boendet kontra standarden matchade tyvärr inte alls. Vi ville verkligen inte stanna där och försökte avboka. Hotellets ansvariga var vänlig men tyvärr kunde de inte göra något åt det och det slutade med att vi fick dubbla kostnader då vi valde helt annat boende.

Patrycja (5/5): - Comfortable and clean. Nice communal area It’s called surf paradise but there were no surfboards there to rent… stuff advised to go to the city to rent so that was a bit surprising

Caroline (9/5): - Super cozy and homely vibes in this hostel. Loved chilling in the courtyard and having coffe there in the morning. Extremely friendly and helpful staff (always reachable on whatsapp, easy communication and they even did me a favour by renting me a bike). The shower was a bit broken (but hot water and clean bathroom so it was ok). The kitchen could use a coffee maker to make your own coffee in the afternoons (also they do offer free coffee in the mornings). The wifi didn’t always work great.

Sutton (10/5): It was awesome.🤙 - Conveniently located to great surf, food,coffee, bars grocery. Clean and well maintained. Emilio and the staff are super friendly and helpful with any help you might need navigating the Santa Teresa scene.
Jara Vargas (7/5): A basic but well-located and affordable stay, suitable if you plan to spend most of the day outdoors - The accommodation offers very basic facilities at a budget-friendly price point. The room consisted of a simple concrete structure with a bed and an en-suite bathroom equipped with an electric shower. The property also features a small communal kitchen, though I did not make use of it. The staff were relaxed and helpful, and the location is very good. Just steps from a beach entrance, and near restaurants and cafés. Electricity, hot water, and Wi-Fi functioned adequately. Overall, this is an option best suited for travelers seeking very simple, no-frills lodging at a low cost, particularly if the plan is to spend most of the time outdoors enjoying the beach and surrounding area. While functional, the space received limited natural light due to a window facing a small space with hanging clothes. Given the compact layout and proximity of the rooms, privacy was somewhat limited, but the attitude of the place was very relaxed and welcoming.

Justyna (10/5): We had a very relaxing time close to the exceptional beach 🏖️ - It’s very green, chill vibe, great staff, close to restaurants and a supermarket, expect simple accommodation- it’s a hostel. Communication was good too. Bathrooms are rather simple - but for the price it was expected

Srubif (7/5): Good - Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Room was basic but comfortable with AC. The kitchen and bathroom was cleaned daily. In a great location in town, right by the surf break. Could be more hang out spaces / hammocks in common areas.

Emma (5/5): Cheap accommodation but you get what you pay for - Cheap accommodation in Santa Teresa, but you get what you pay for. I did appreciate the private rooms having access to own kitchen. Location in Carmen Beach is good but to access the beach you have to go through a path surrounded by garbage. My sheets were stained the first night. You do get what you pay for and the facilities and rooms could be cleaner and better maintained. The staff is friendly but it is the first hostel I stay in where there are no planned activities.

Jonna (7/5): Shared apartments close to the beach but not a social hostel - The location is great, close to the beach, surf rental, supermarket and restaurants in Carmen. It was clean and the shared room was spacious. There is an AC in the shared space. The terrace was nice to sit at. My roommates was really friendly and we surfed together and had dinner together and they made my staying at the hostel great. The bed was really hard, you sink down into a pit and feel the planks under the bed. There was no AC in the bedroom and the fan was screwed on the wall over the top bunk bed so only the one sleeping up there could enjoy it. This is not really a dorm. It’s a few different houses and more like sharing an apartment with people. We had two shared bedrooms, one very simple kitchen and one bathroom. We were 4-5 people in total. I was very lucky to share room and house with nice people, otherwise it can get a bit uncomfortable I guess. My room only had one bunk bed, as it was nice with a lot of space in the room I think it can feel a bit intimate and depending who you share with unsafe with only the two of you. But my roommate was super nice so for me it was nice. It’s not a really social hostel and the staff is not that attentive and social and welcoming. Something is missing about the feeling of it. It’s basic friendly. You have to ask for help even though it’s clear you need help, even though they see you they won’t come and offer help. I never knew who the volunteers was, but I saw a bunch of girls always sitting together and heard they were the volunteers, but not socialising. There is also a note saying they are not responsible for your belongings, even though there is only one key to the house which is always in the door and not everyone got a key to the bedrooms, so we couldn’t lock. The main gate is also always open.
Lena (7/5): Good - I liked, that it was quiet. Having in mind, that the road is close the common area and the rooms are silent and it feels like another world. I also liked the hammocks and that there were a kitchen and bathroom in every house. The kitchen was not that well eqipped ( its fine but for example we had one spoon and one bowl for three people ) but I'm sure if you ask for more they give it to you.

Nice stay, slightly disappointed with surf lessons booked via Surf Paradise (different company but booked at the hostel) as ended up with non english speaking guide (mentioned at the time of booking that i don’t speak spanish - first, theoretical part of the lesson was great and done in english) Place itself is really nice.
Rodrigo (10/5): 2 nights stay in Surf Paradise - The Hostel is immaculate, the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the price is remarkably reasonable considering the quality of services provided. They don’t have mosquito nets, but with the air conditioning, you can reduce the number of mosquito bites.
