- Wallace (10/5): - Host was very friendly
- Hajooo (8/5): - Awesome host. Super friendly, i felt welcome as like beeing at home. The Host took me in super spontaneuosly. Due to train delays i needed a stay in stafford for the night. I called them at 8 pm, arrived at 10 pm and then had a lovely stay. Good value. I got a breakfast in the morning, the Host explained me where to find a grocery Store which has opened on a sunday. They even offered me a lift to the train station The door to the room can not be locked. For me as a man no Problem. But i guess for women that might be a an issue

- Philip (1/5): - I did not stay at this hotel, I arrived at 9pm to find the place in darkness, I know I said I arrive at latest 5 pm but it is a long story!
I did not expect a terraced house in darkness, I telephoned the phone number given but received a "message" answer on both occasions.
I expect a refund of the total amount as I did not stay at all, and the alternative at the Holiday Inn Express cost me £98.
- Kafayah (8/5): It’s a nice place to stay - The kitchen You can do better with the double bed
- Sonia (7/5): Really good - Perfect location. Really attentive host. Breakfast included. Close to city centre and station. Comfy bed. Shared bathroom that was on the ground floor.
- Feba (10/5): Exceptional - The owner John s hospitality was excellent
- Tolutope (8/5): Home away from home👍 - I found the host very friendly. He offered me a cup of tea, despite my late arrival.
I enjoyed cereal, toast and coffee at breakfast. I also found the room comfortable and clean ......as i was not in a rush I sat out in the garden on a sunny day not departing until 1pm and this was no problem. (Salute 🫡 for that to the establishment ❤️🎈).
I will definitely stay in Douglas House again and would recommend it.

Nice1 guys That i couldn't stay longer..real hospitality👍
- Dion (1/5): Bad - my main issues with the accommodation are that it was sub standard and made out to be a guest house or bed and breakfast however it is merely a spare room in a guys house it is not set up for paying guests
It was listed as having a private bathroom however it was his bathroom that he shared as you can see from the pictures, there was a bolt on the door however you couldn't lock the door as it didn't line up with the catch there was also not catch on the door itself so you could only push it closed, on top of that the bathroom was disgusting at not suitable at all, see pics
The bedroom wasn't clean and the provided quilt was pathetic hence the supplied extra blanket that again wasn't clean, again yhe bedroom door did not close properly as the catch wouldn't engage and you were not able to lock it so I had to jam it closed using my bags otherwise anybody could have walked in at any point, the blinds wre broken and had curtains hanging from them and neither stopped the light from coming in
The rest of the house was not clean either and I was not able to use the facilities due to the poor level of cleanliness
I've attached some of the pictures so you can see for yourself, if you are unable to refund me then I'd like to escalate my issues to your management
- James (8/5): Very good - The host was very hospitable
