• Léa (1/5): A fuir ! - Rien du tout, À FUIR - la non sympathie de la gérante, pas de bonjour, pas d’accueil à l’arrivée - aucun confort, vous dormiez sur un clic clac déplié avec un sur matelas de 2 cms - 29 degrés dans la chambre, pas d’ouverture de fenêtre possible, un maigre ventilateur - aucune propreté, puisque la gérante et son conjoint viennent de rincer en rentrant de la plage pleins de sable dans votre salle de bain et la laisse comme ça avant d’aller se doucher dans la leur - les équipements comme le sèche linge qui ne fonctionne pas, ne comptez pas sur la disponibilité de la gérante pour vous aider, par contre pour vous réclamer de l’argent ça bien sûr elle le fera Et pour en avoir discuté avec les gens présents avec nous… nous étions tous unanimes…

• Cédric (9/5): - L'appartement 1 était très bien équipé, confortable et le cadre extrêmement reposant. Ce fut un réel plaisir d'y séjourner. Rapport qualité/prix impeccable pour Uvita.
• Sandra (7/5): Beau cadre mais très chaud. - Nous avons apprécié le calme durant notre séjour. L’emplacement parking était aussi un gros plus. L’eau potable. Il fait vraiment très chaud dans l’appartement. Les ventilateurs n’étaient hélas pas suffisant pour rafraîchir l’air.
• Line (10/5): 4 nuits - Arrivée et communication 10/10. Maison très facile à trouver et indications par message. Cuisine très bien équipée avec eau et cafe à disposition. Le wifi fonctionne très bien. La chambre est très confortable est spacieuse. La communication avec la dame du ménage était super ainsi que avec Patricia qui a pu nous donner des informations sur la suite de notre voyage par message. 2 chats et 2 chiens adorables. Salle de bain nickel! Bravo

• Patricia Virginia (10/5): - Ich hatte einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr nett und es war spannend, mehr über sie zu erfahren. Sie hat mir zudem viele hilfreiche Tipps gegeben für das Erkunden von Uvita... Die Zimmer sind schön dekoriert und alles war sehr sauber. Besonders praktisch fand ich, dass man die Küche mitnutzen kann. Insgesamt herrscht eine sehr familiäre und angenehme Atmosphäre. Die Lage ist ebenfalls ideal: zentral in Uvita, aber die unmittelbare Umgebung ist dennoch ruhig.

• Justine (4/5): - L’établissement est bien situé. Nous n’avons finalement pas séjourné dans l’établissement car l’état général de propreté ne correspondait pas à nos attentes. Les parties communes, dans cette maison partagée, nous ont semblé insuffisamment entretenues et peu équipées. Nous ne nous sommes pas sentis à l’aise en arrivant, ce qui nous a conduits à renoncer à passer la nuit sur place. C’est d’autant plus décevant au regard du prix demandé, qui ne nous paraît pas cohérent avec la qualité proposée.

• Lucia (8/5): Süße low budget Unterkunft mit herzlicher Gastgeberin - Die Unterkunft ist gut ausgestattet, mit eigener Küche und/oder Gemeinschaftsküche. Es handelt sich um ein altes "tico" Haus mit Charme. Man darf keinen hohen Standard erwarten, dann ist man dort falsch. Patricia ist eine super herzliche Gastgeberin und hilft bei allem. Das Haus ist sehr hellhörig. Wenn die Gäste darauf Rücksicht nehmen, ist es aber in Ordnung. Die Zimmer werden sehr warm, darauf sollte man sich einstellen. Es sind Ventilatoren installiert, die recht leise sind und so ein wenig Abhilfe schaffen.
• Thomas (10/5): - Apartment Nr. 7 hat zwei Veranden und eine eigene Küche. Von der Veranda aus lassen sich frühmorgens und abends Rotstirnamazonen aus nächster Nähe beobachten, Tukane schauen vorbei und Brüllaffen sind zu hören, wie mitten im Dschungel und doch sehr zentral fussläufig gelegen.

Located on a 20 minute walk from the beach. And a few 100 meters of the main road. No staff present, but clear and extensive instructions were shared before arrival. Clean room, bathroom and overall clean property. Did not use the shared kitchen facility. Nothing to mention.

• Rayo (1/5): - Staff responded fast for reservation through Booking, but once there we could not find the location, your map led us to an empty lot for sale, it was not the exact location. We felt scammed. We didn't find the location, it was dark, no lights in a rural narrow off-road. Since we felt alone with no security, all dark at 8pm, no people around, the few we found in a house close by did not know about the place so we left. I called the number twice with no response. We felt scammed. To confirm this, we visited the location the next morning, it was hard to find after we asked people around. The location was NOT the exact one on your map, instructions given by the host were clear but no one responded, when we finally received a chat from the host all he had to say was that we lost the money paid. We arrived at their location that morning, and almost got bitten by a dog from their guests, the host clearly stated they had no responsibility. It was the worst experience I have ever had in Costa Rica.

• Rick (6/5): - Casa Patricia is prettig gelegen en heeft prettige faciliteiten zoals een keuken en een wasmachine. Daarnaast is het schoon Wij verbleven boven en het huis is erg gehorig. Je kan het licht van beneden tussen de kieren van de vloer zijn. Als de mensen in de kamer onder ons verbleven leek het alsof ze naast ons stonden. Wij hadden het denken we ook niet geheel getroffen met sommige medegasten. Deze waren luidruchtig en onhygiënisch. Daardoor voelden we ons ook niet geheel op ons gemak gedurende ons verblijf. Instructies waren ook niet altijd geheel duidelijk.

• Sarah (10/5): Excellent value in a great location. - Patricia was incredibly friendly and we enjoyed her company very much. Patricia’s house was perfect for us for our three night stay. It was also incredibly affordable. It was very close to everything we wanted to do in the area. We did NOT need a 4x4 to access the property, it’s a well kept gravel road to a normal dirt driveway. We arrived at the end of the rainy season and still had zero problems. The bathroom worked for us even having to share with multiple others. The kitchen was spacious and we thought it was so smart to have specific shelf space and fridge shelf space for each room. There wasn’t silverware that we could find, but we’d packed our own, so we made do. The yard has many beautiful plants and herbs. We enjoyed watching the birds and lizards in the yard. A hummingbird visited each morning. The patio was incredibly nice after touring the area and first thing in the morning while listening to the wildlife. We also wanted to thank Patricia for recommending the restaurants located almost directly across the street. There was a huge selection of food options, great prices, and the staff were all friendly and welcoming. We went three separate times. Would definitely stay again.

• Paula (2/5): - We liked the hot shower we could take We arrived around 8 PM. The entrance to the place was dark and pretty muddy since it had been raining. The room smelled badly of humidity as if it hadn't been open in weeks to let fresh air in. The kitchen is open and it faces a neighbors' backyard. There are no windows so you have to be very careful not to leave anything edible to avoid attracting all kinds of bugs. The stove is connected to a gas tank that is in the middle of the way. No one cared to keep it in a safe place. The kitchen counter and furniture are as old as all the rest of the furniture in the room. The living room has a dining table but you can't really use it since there is a huge old typing machine sitting on it. We could not understand the purpose of having such a thing there. The futton in the living room also smelled pretty badly. Luckily, we did not need to use it. The walls between rooms are very thin and we could hear every conversation or move. The fans in the living room and bedroom were full of old dust and grease. When we turned them on, lint flew all over the place. Regarding the towels we found on the bed; they were too old that one of them torn in the middle. Finally, the location is not that great if you want to be near a beach. It took us 7 minutes driving to the closest beach in town.
• Victor (5/5): Buen precio para lo que es - La habitación es amplia, es todo un apartamento digamos y bastante bien equipado. Lo mejor es la ubicación justo al lado del club marino balllena, un lugar excelente para comer o tomar algo. La cama era un poco dura, y haría falta mejorar en la limpieza general de la habitación. También llegar a la vivienda es algo complicado y el acceso al parking imposible sin peligrar los bajos del vehiculo. Era mejor aparcar fuera, aunque creo que iban a mejorar la calle. También se echa un poco de menos el trato personal, ya que toda gestión prácticamente se hace vía whatsapp.

• PABLO (3/5): - Puedo entender que uno tenga expectativas pero las fotos distan bastante de la realidad. Lo único bueno es que muy cerca hay un centro comercial con buenos restaurantes. La cocina estaba sucia y desordenada, mal equipada. Nada que ver con las fotos. El baño igualmente, diferente a lo que se presenta. La dueña no está a penas presente, vive del hostel en un apartamento condilante sin preocuparse nk se sus mascotas ni de sus clientes. La entrada es muy complicada e incómoda para entrar con el coche, la propia calle no se puede transitar fácilmente. La habitación no tiene mosquitera y está sin barrer a fondo. En definitiva, es sucio y poco cuidado.

• Marion (10/5): Séjour parfait - L'hôte est très avenante et arrangeante ! L'arrivée peut se faire facilement en autonomie si besoin et la chambre est très bien et propre. La salle de bain est partagée mais reste propre et la cuisine permet de se faire à manger.

I happen to reach th stay around 11PM but managed to follow her instructions to find the keys and wifi password swiftly. • Nele (8/5): Outdoor relaxing - Host Patricia makes you feel very welcome and answers all of your questions. I chose this location because it has the most charming balcony with lights turning on at night, it’s a fully equipped apartment, and it is close (walking distance) to Uvita city center (e.g. there’s the Wednesday food market, and the starting point of the Corcovado expedition by Pacific experience). Also, if you’re an animal lover, the welcoming of the cats and the neighbour’s dog will melt your heart. By the way: highly recommended: restaurant Mestizo, it has great food and the most amazing views! It was like watching National Geographic channel while enjoying lunch.

Close to the beach and close to other places. Patricia is helpful on all levels, and a great host. We did enjoy our stay. For us it was not so visible that there are many different rooms and appartements. So there is not so much privacy. And for a couple with a child a bit small - specially the kitchen and eating area. ( we stayed for a week)

• Deva (9/5): Wonderful place, Patricia is a great host. - Patricia is a great host. She was there most of the time and really helpful to make the stay as comfortable as possible. The room was great and clean. The house is in a very quiet place, but there are stores and restaurants nearby. Lovely place, would like to return there some day! The beach is a bit of a walk (about 30mins) but supermarket and busstops are on the other hand close by. And you can also rent a bike.

The bed is quite large and where is a sofa to host an extra person The king size bed was low on the ground and the bedframe a bit improvised, but still okay The fans are a bit noisy, but you need them at night since there’s no A/C

• Skilly (8/5): Excellent place, kitchen needs a cleaning. - Room was outstanding, clean, large, and bed was very comfortable. Lovely wooden floors. Nice view of the mountain and a nice outdoor table setup. Easy to find with directions given. Close to bakeries, supermarket and restaurants. Parking is easy. The guesthouse was very well organised with instructions, places to see, etc. Shared bathroom was very clean, and had a (properly installed) hot water element. The kitchen was kind of gross, fridge seems like it hasn't been cleaned in weeks. Lots of greasy spots in the kitchen, was afraid something might jump out. Expired food abounds in the shared bins. No pots for cooking were available (lucky I had my own), they were being used by other guests to store food overnight (not that this is the host's fault, but signs could be provided to discourage this bestial behaviour).
