Guest Reviews
- Partha (9/5): Well supported by the owner - Fitted three of us nicely Stairs
- Mark (10/5): Highly recommended accommodation, very close to Gotanda station, shopping centre and local stores. - Clean and spacious with everything you need for a short or long stay in Tokyo, handy location with a short walk to Lawsons store and also a local supermarket. Not enough time spent there!
- Lihua (9/5): -
- Yasutaka (10/5): -
- Traci (7/5): It was okay. Wouldn't go back. - Communication was quick, clear, consistent, friendly, and professional. I appreciated they were available to respond to any questions, and also let me know certain details.
Only a few minutes walk from Gotanda station, with food options and nearby supermarkets and combini.
House manual and instructions on how to check in were helpful.
Two Air conditioners were great.
Spacious shower.
Kitchen amenities were good.
They sent me a message right before check in, that they had discovered that the shower window was leaking, causing the floor next to the bed to be wet. They placed down towels, and apologized that towels would be on the floor during our stay. It was no problem to be careful while in the shower. (There is a window in the shower room in the wall next to the bedroom). Check in time was 4 pm, but they weren't ready. When we arrived at 4, the cleaner was still there, and he was very nice, but kindly asked for 15-20 minutes more time because he wasn't finished. We had to ask to drop our luggage because we had 2 large suitcases. We went to the izakaya restaurant right across the street, which thankfully was open. We could see the entrance from our seats, and he didn't leave until about 4:37-4:45pm.
The place overall smells a bit musty.
The towels smelled very musty.
The overall look was clean, but there were a lot of places in the bathroom and sink that were not very clean.
There are some things that are not described until after you receive the house manual a few days before check in, and some things that aren't noted at all.
For example, it's not noted that there is no elevator and the unit is on the 3rd floor. Luckily, my partner is a strong and able-bodied male who was able to carry the heavy luggage up the 3 flights of narrow stairs. This should be noted for anyone who wouldn't be able to do that.
The other thing we discovered is that the small unit in the kitchen that looks like a refrigerator, is actually a freezer. The refrigerator is actually located in the "smart" coffee table.
We found this out when our bottles of water were frozen.
Lastly, the lighting wasn't ideal. There are only very dim lights in the two bed areas, making it hard to see at times.
There is also a very brightly lit green exit sign above the front door on the inside, and it lights up the entire place at night. Be sure to bring an eye mask.
Walking around at night, it was clear that we were near some adult clubs and services. So I'm not sure what kind of lodging this place was, but I thought it looked like a more spacious and modern apartment overall. While it is updated with some modern tech and furnishings, it was much smaller than in the photos, and the smell made it feel used, and not in a good way.
- Wanda (9/5): Very recommended - Very spacious, modern equipped, easy to reach
- Eric (10/5): Exceptional -
- M (7/5): Good - I like the separation of the two bed areas and roomy interior. Safe didn't work; no elevator to 3rd floor. Also, Japanese bath area did not have stool or bowl to use for washing before bath. The living room table which is also a refrigerator was inconvenient to use.
- Tadahiro (7/5): Good -
