- Tim (10/5): We had a fantastic stay, location is perfect, cottage is perfect and Pam & Geoff were very very welcoming and friend - The cottage has absolutely everything you need and is of a high quality. Nothing!!!
- Ruth (10/5): - The cottage was lovely and well equipped.
- Abigail (10/5): -
- Tony (10/5): - Beautiful place to stay ,peaceful, relaxing ,spotless clean , lovely welcome on arrival
- Abbie (10/5): Perfect cosy stay, highly recommend. - The cottage exceeded my expectations. The photos honestly don’t do it justice. It felt incredibly fresh and clean, almost brand new, and everything was just right. It was cosy, warm, and so comfortable, with an especially comfortable bed. The underfloor heating throughout was a lovely touch, as was the beautiful bathtub and the coffee machine.
The hosts had clearly gone out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, including fresh items in the fridge and even fruit cakes waiting for us, which made us feel really welcomed. They were friendly and welcoming when we arrived, but left us completely alone for the rest of the stay, so it still felt very private. Having them nearby on the farm actually added to the experience rather than detracting from it.
I genuinely can’t fault this place and would 100% stay here again if I was in the area.

- Sarah (10/5): 10/10 Beautiful place - location was perfect for visiting attractions.
Attention to detail and the facilities were fantastic.
Everything that you could possibly need was supplied, quality of furnishings were 10/10.
Welcome cake, cider, apple juice and milk was a lovely touch.
Bathroom was gorgeous and bedding smelt amazing.
- Siena (10/5): A beautiful stay that nourished my soul - Lovely welcoming gifts & letter, as well as a perfect location.
- Karen (10/5): Fantastic find in the Forest! - Absolutely stunning cottage, everything you could need for a long weekend away - a real home from home. Loved all the little touches throughout that made it feel special ... Even some local ciders and fruitcake on arrival. Pam and Geoff had also stocked the fridge with milk, apple juice and provided all the essentials like tea bags. We were there in winter, but there's a lovely outside area as well with a BBQ, firepit etc, which I imagine would be great in summer. Plenty of parking available just outside the cottage. The cottage itself was spotless and immaculately presented, awesome bath tub and shower - great after long walks in the day. The heating was either super effective or the house holds the heat well, as it was toasty all the time. We went out for dinner one night, but cooked for 2 evenings ourselves which was super easy in the small but perfect kitchen. Only a short drive from Ross on Wye, which is where we went out for dinner and cocktails one evening. Also perfectly located for exploring the Forest of Dean, short drives to all the beautiful locations. Great for a couple space wise - but if there's a bigger group of you you could also hire the cottage next door. All in all I would definitely recommend! There's honestly nothing I didn't like about the cottage! The only thing that would have made the location even better would be if it was in walking distance of a pub!
- Mark (10/5): Wonderful two night break walking in the Wye valley. We will go again - Modern clean and comfortable, perfect for a couple, very quiet rural location. Excellent hostess, friendly welcome and cake provided on arrival. Nice selection of essentials and goodies (cider!) on arrival. Nice little touches around the property made it feel like a home. We even got good weather. Restaurants, pubs cafes etc are all a car ride away but the luxurious accommodation makes up for that.
- Julia (10/5): A great place, lovely! - It was really nice! A lounge and kitchen area with great facilities. Spacious bathroom with a great shower. Lovely touches with refreshments provided. Only a teeny observation, but the bathroom sink was rather small.
- Stephen (10/5): A wonderful few days spent at Acorn Cottage situated a short drive from Ross-on-Wye. - The standard of finishes and attention to detail throughout the property is exceptional which we appreciated.
We were also welcomed with some delicious home made cake and local cider.
- Jon (10/5): Perfect place to stay and fantastic accomodation. - Really appreciated the extra touches of the local food & drink that was waiting for us on our arrival. The accomodation was finished to a very high standard and could not have asked for any more.
- Bentley (9/5): Superb -
- Richard (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (9/5): Beautiful place to stay. - Beautiful cottage in fabulous location 10 mins from Ross on Wye.
Excellent base for Forrest of Dean and Wye Valley.
Milk, local cider and local pear juice in the fridge - lovely touch. Nothing to dislike really.
Can I add this is not at all my photo...clearly abroad not Wye Valley..not added by me and cannot remove it..glitch in the system!

- Tony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Delwyn (10/5): Beautiful place - Unfortunately me and my partner couldn't make it last minute , but my son and his girlfriend said they would go if that was ok. Pam was so lovely and accommodating to the situation and said it was fine. Speaking on behalf of them they both said the place was lovely , clean and extremely well stocked with everything you need. Finishing touches too with milk etc in the fridge , cookies, just a lovely touch . The cottage was beautiful and in a lovely setting too. They said they didnt want to leave and I will be booking for us in the future . Nothing to not like , no complaints at all
