- Natasha (9/5): -
- GEORGIA (10/5): Loved this cottage. Peaceful and tranquil. - Everything. The calm and quiet, yet only 5 miles to Newbury City Centre. The spectacular garden view with trains passing by far away but still visible. The bird life. Saw a baby fawn in the garden. Great host. Countryside and just what was needed at the end of a very hectic trip. Nothing.
- Sheree (9/5): Nice break on a longer journey. - Comfortable and nice view.

- Gillian (10/5): We thoroughly enjoyed 3 perfect days in a cosy , comfortable and charming location and kind and thoughtfully hosts and w - It was delightfully decorated and very comfortably appointed, with a charming little patio and garden and countryside views. Nothing, I loved it all.
- Wanda (10/5): Very comfortable and cosy. -
- Beach (8/5): - Clean, modern, quiet. Good shower. Nice village location. Could not see door number. A lighted door number or sign and feather pillows would be good.
- Elizabeth (10/5): -

- Lynn (10/5): A charming country hideaway a short drive to London - Charming little studio with a great host and lovely view. Great location away from it all in the countryside yet just a short drive to London. We even saw a fawn nearby!

- maggie (10/5): Fantastic studio in peaceful, beautiful, countryside - I had a perfect stay in this gorgeous studio. Very comfortable and relaxing with lovely views across the garden.
The hosts were very welcoming and everything in the studio was immaculate. Lovely touches like some great lifestyle magazines which I enjoyed browsing in the evening. Lots of walks in beautiful countryside and a fab pub just down the road. Nothing at all
- Dean (10/5): Beautiful cosy getaway - What a beautiful place! We were welcomed with a warm smile, shown to our accommodation and made to feel right at home from the start.
It had everything we needed, was cosy & just lovely.
We would love to stay again...if you'll have us.
- Sue B Coleman (9/5): A lovely room in a very peaceful location. - We had a lovely stay here. It was the perfect location for our visit to Highclere Castle for the Battle Proms concert.
The room was spotless and we appreciated the milk in the fridge on our arrival.
- Shane (10/5): - Peace & quiet,
Very relaxing
- Sean (10/5): Great location and view - High quality studio in a great location Nothing
- Kay (9/5): What a find! The perfect property in a perfect location for our weekend at Newbury Races. - The property had everything that we needed and beautiful views in a peaceful location. The kitchenette had a fridge, toaster and crockery and cutlery so we could eat our own food- there was also the offer of a microwave or two-ring hob. The bed was a little soft for me, but my husband liked it!
- Gillian (10/5): Short stay at this exceptional property! - I loved everything about the property. It’s in a lovely rural location with wonderful views but it’s also a short drive to Newbury town centre. Helena was very friendly. She had provided some lovely handwritten notes about the room. Everything was of such good quality. It’s quiet and comfortable and had everything I needed for my short stay. I was impressed with the generous array of Pukka (my favourite) teabags that were available. I was so glad I chose The Garden Studio. It really was a special place to stay. Everything was lovely.
- Eve (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent stay. As clean and comfortable as could be. Giant bed with a lovely view of the garden. Friendly host.
Village itself was very small but pretty and the pub looked very fine. Not quite a kitchenette, but owner brought in a microwave which fixed that. Fridge with freezer was fine.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional - We loved the location, the garden, and the patio. The room was very well presented and although very warm an efficient fan was provided. No complaints at all. N/A
- Andrew (8/5): The garden studio was everything we needed for an our overnight stay. -
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful apartment, spotlessly clean, lovely outdoor area with views across the fields.
- Jacqueline (10/5): Perfect for our needs - a very comfortable stay with flexibility on access and departure. - Very comfortable bed. Good shower room. Great to have milk in the fridge. Lovely terrace.
- Pamela (4/5): Disappointed with the property - Bed was comfortable Dusty inside on the shelving, dirty bed throw and cushions. The garden in not accessible as there is a small fence, you could not sit out on the patio area as the garden furniture and the patio was covered in dried on bird muck. It is not easy to access the front door after parking as the walk way is narrow with over grown bushes swarming in flies. Also the property is extremely hot because it is south facing but only a desk fan is provided, and you can't open the patio doors because of flies. so had to keep the curtains closed whilst in the property, so pointless having a garden view
- Helen (10/5): Lovely location - We had a lovely stay in this delightful place. Having the terrace to sit out on was a delight. The bed was huge and very comfortable and we loved all the little extra touches, like milk in the fridge, biscuits etc.The hosts were very welcoming.
It was a shame the pub was shut that night, but we had a nice al fresco dinner at the Dundas Arms at Kintbury instead.
- John (9/5): Very enjoyable and comfortable overnight stay. - Nice clean apartment in a quiet location. Great views from the outside patio.
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matt (10/5): I will be booking this accommodation again! - I stay away with work most weeks, this property by far is one of the best and great value! Beautiful location, very clean and homely. The hosts were amazing and very accommodating. Great local pub 100 yards up the road.

- Lucy (10/5): A perfect stop along the Kennet & Avon river/canal cycle ride - London to Bath - Thoughtful layout of breakfast things - coffee, muesli, milk and so forth.
Helena showed us where we could leave our bikes outside, close by which was great - we were on a cycling 'tour'
The Red House almost next door was a great place to eat and took about 2 minutes to get to on foot. Ideal.
- Josephine (10/5): We would like to stay there again. - The location was perfect, with a lovely view and dear little patio. We received a very good welcome. The decor of the room was delightful, the bed comfortable with good quality pillows. The shower was excellent and we had an extremely comfortable stay. It was good to have fresh milk for our drinks. It was very helpful to be only yards away from a very good pub where we had a delicious meal. Pity about the weather!!
- Ringnda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roger (10/5): A great stay with lovely pub 2 doors away - The quality of the offering was exceptional
hot water came through quickly ,great shower
tea and coffee facilities very good but a french press and some ground coffee could be added to be exceptional.
Outside seating looked comfortable but not tested a liitle chilly this time of the year
Radiators provided quick warmth Nothing
- Bev (10/5): Exceptional - The standard inside the cottage was exceptionally high and this peaceful retreat is the perfect place to relax. The close proximity to a lovely country pub and beautiful canal walks only added to that. The bed was so comfortable and the tea, biscuits and cereals were rather good. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending it as
a super place to stay.

- Oecea (9/5): Garden Studio was peaceful and comfortable, with lovely decor and a beautiful view. - The Garden Studio had lovely decor that created a cozy and welcoming feel. Nothing

- Barbara (10/5): What we needed. Relaxing and peaceful sitting out on terrace in the evening sun -
- Russell (8/5): Excellent place apart from the shower doesn’t work properly - Location Shower doesn’t work properly goes on hot or cold to the right temperature doesn’t work properly
- Juli2019 (10/5): Exceptional - The house was easy to find using the navigator. Very hospitable hosts. Good repair, soft bed, excellent pillows and blanket. And the view of the field is simply stunning. There is everything for breakfast: tea, coffee, cereal, cookies and milk.
- Kaye (9/5): Superb -
- Andrea (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicola (10/5): Lovely, cottage with outside seating area - Really lovely cottage, very quiet, lovely comfy bed and beautiful decor. Little patio area with seating on a hot summer evening is a real bonus. Nothing!
- Gary (9/5): A peaceful stop - Beautiful location and so peaceful. Nothing really - the room is a little small but we were aware of that when booking.
- Richard (10/5): Cottage stay with a modern twist and lovely hosts. - Very good host, they meet you on your first stay to ensure everything is to your liking and provide background on the local area to ensure you can eat, drink locally. Nothing, all good.
- David (7/5): Just needs few tweeks for perfection - Lovely outlook, comfortable bed, great decor
Good little kitchenette
Very nice host Cobwebs in ceiling
Few areas dusty e.g bin top in bathroom and area behind, cobwebs
Shower lacked power
Ventilation, needed to have a window to open , wasn't happy leaving a door ajar
- Robert (10/5): Lovely location, excellent facilities and friendly host. The Red House pub was an additional bonus -
- Jayne (10/5): Just perfect. We will return - Everything! It was just perfect! Only stayed one night and wished we could of stayed longer. It was the ultimate in relaxation. We absolutely loved everything about it. Very clean and comfortable with lovely finishing touches of biscuits, tea bag’s, toiletries and quality bedding. Having to leave it!
- Tony (9/5): Superb - Great location for our needs with lovely outlook across the garden. Not a matter of not liking but it is 'compact'. Didn't really bother us for a 2 night stay. Window in bathroom needs a blind. Created a beacon in bedroom when visits made in night. No shampoo 😖
- Hannah (9/5): Cute little studio style flat in picturesque location - Cute little studio room with kitchenette facilities and separate entrance. Gorgeous view from window onto well kept garden. Loved the little touches like the toiletries in bathroom and the provision of biscuits, and cereal and milk so I could have breakfast in the morning. Comfortable bed and modern bathroom. Cute pub 2 min walk away to get dinner. There's a little cupboard which has slightly noisy pipes in it, although I was tired so they didn't keep me awake.
- Claire (9/5): Lovely place to stay. Would definitely stay agaon - Wonderful view and very peaceful. Very comfortable bed and lovely private little outside patio area. Lovely place to stay though bear in mind no cooking facilities. There is a standard size fridge though and everything else is beautifully done
- Barbu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helen (9/5): Beautiful rural retreat - Beautiful location - rural and quiet. A lovely pub/restaurant ( The Red House) within walking distance. The studio was beautifully decorated. It was very clean, and it was warm on a chilly, wet March day.
Facilities exactly as described. N/A

- Talya (7/5): Lovely stay - Well designed and cosy, Tiny bit small
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sean (8/5): Very good -
- Angela (10/5): Good base to rest before work meetings. - Very comfortable and homely, very welcoming on my arrival and after a long drive the room was warm and cosy. Everything was fine for my however no TV so if that’s what you want bring an iPad with you. Never bothered me though.
- Phil (8/5): Very good -
- David (9/5): A useful short stay - The location was excellent for us
It had a fridge Tiny sign outside, which was very difficult to see in the wet and in the dark.
A mirror in the room would be helpful to allow 2 people to get ready at the same time.
There was a window from the shower room to the bedroom. The lamp in the shower
/ toilet shone right through this window onto the face of person sleeping in the bed, whilst the other visited the toilet hence waking one’s partner.
- Daniela (8/5): Very good - It would be good to have a manual for the heating in the room and bathroom. Unfortunately, for me it was trial and error, but I generell struggle with the different heating systems in the UK.
- Leslie (10/5): enjoyed the stay - N/A N/A

As soon as we parked our car and entered, we were delighted to find a very; clean, spacious, well kept, beautiful property with lovely views. Our host was super helpful and friendly as well as attentive, seen as though our plans of arrival kept changing on the day. We would highly recommend this place to anyone and if ever we were to come back, we would stay here in a heartbeat! 1 night was not enough! Thank you! Nothing!
- Jose (10/5): Perfect. - The location was so quiet and peaceful and only a few minutes walk from an excellent pub. I have mobility problems and the property was perfeect for me. Everything was very tasteful and good quality. We will definitely be back.

- Alison (10/5): peaceful, exceptionally comfortable bed, delightful hosts and perfectly situated - A delightfully peaceful rural property. nothing
- Steve (8/5): A very comfortable stay with just a few minor issues which could be easily resolved - Very comfortable and quiet location. The bed was lovely with great quality bedding. We slept very well here. Very short distance to local pub and easy walk into Newbury 3.5 miles from the apartment, along the canal and straight into Newbury. On arrival we were presented with a building site as owner’s property was undergoing construction. Fair enough, it didn’t impact us exactly but it would have been nice to have been told beforehand so we were prepared for first impressions! Owner was away but thankfully the builders helped us find where to pick up key and Angela was very helpful. A few minor issues… no hairdryer and if there had been one, no where to plug it in near a mirror. Shower had very low pressure and the smaller shower head not working. although nice they’d been provided, not a good idea for open product, such as the half filled cereal jars and open honey and marmalade jars. Maybe mini jars and sachets a more hygienic option. Outside was dirty and we could not sit on chairs as cushions left out in rain and were soaking wet.
