Perfekt Lage, nur 5 Minuten von Bus oder Tram entfernt und mit dem Bus in weniger als 10 Minuten am Amsterdam Central. Sehr saubere und ruhige Gegend. Die Unterkunft war schlicht und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Sehr bequemes Bett, alles tipptopp sauber. Voran hatte ich mir eine 2. Bettdecke gewünscht und der Wunsch wurde erfüllt. Arnold und Sofie sind zauberhafte Gastgeber und leben mit ihren Kids auch auf dem Boot. …das ist keine Kritik!!! Mich hat überrascht, dass es kein Fenster/Bullauge zum rausgucken gab. Fühlte mich kurz unwohl damit, aber es ist wie es ist und soll keine Kritik sein!!!!!!
• Caroline serena (7/5): Nice houseboat away from the bustle of central Amsterdam - Loved the area, comfy bed and good shower. It was pretty basic, no cooking facilities, most expensive accommodation of our 3 week trip that included Switzerland!

• Joshua (8/5): - Everything was as advertised, hosts were super friendly and helpful. They offered a full refund based on an issue with the bed. The bed did break, and seemed to have broken before. Which unfortunately meant we could not stay for our full duration.

• Gabriele (8/5): - Die Lage am Wasser; nur drei Minuten bis zur Bushaltestelle; zentrumsnah und doch ruhig gelegen. Das Sitzen auf Deck mit Blick aufs Wasser. Die Hilfsbereitschaft der BesitzerInnen. Für unsere Frühstücksvorbereitung hätten wir uns noch ein Möglichkeit zum Brotschneiden und ein kleines Küchenmesser zum Obstschneiden gewünscht.

• Monica (10/5): - It was a lovely space, so unique to stay on a boat, it was surprisingly sturdy you did not feel like you were rocking or moving at all! The host thought of everything theres even make up remover provided! Sofie was so friendly as well. Would definitely stay again if I was to visit again.

• Thomas (10/5): Sehr angenehm, unkompliziert in einer fantastischen Umgebung, die es in einer Großstadt nur sehr selten gibt. - Sehr gemütlich, alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Eine tolle Aussicht und Atmosphäre von der Sitzecke auf dem Boot. Sehr freundliche und kooperative Host-Familie. Die Lage innerhalb der Großstadt: einmalig!!! Für mich als Deutscher war die einzelne Doppel-Bettdecke ungewohnt und daher auch ein bisschen unkomfortabel.

• Dominic (9/5): A memorable stay in a beautiful location. - KL Forecastle is located on a large boat, moored in a quay. (Once you step onboard you're not aware it's a boat, though, so don't worry about seasickness!) The room is very comfortable with the facilities you'd expect in a hotel room.
• Jthonestly (6/5): Pleasant - quiet. charming hosts. nice view from outside. not very far from transportation, 400 meters--about 5-10 minute walk. small. this is the forecastle of a houseboat, no windows, no air-conditioning, minimal decor and amenities, no cooking facilities whatsoever. per the description on booking.com, no tv, no radio. located in a quiet neighborhood without any conveniences such as drug store or groceries. a couple of restaurants--i recomment kanis. the closest bakery is a 5-10 minute walk at the trolley and bus stop. for a day or two ok.
