• Rachel (9/5): Villa hidden in a jungle! - Clean, spacious, surrounded by lush greenery, beautiful views from the property! Lots to love and you will certainly get a good nights rest. The location is quite far away from restaurants and bars. Still a good place if you just want to chill and read.

• Margaux (10/5): Wonderful stay, I look forward to going back! - Vina Bungalow boasts super clean, light and well maintained bungalows. Bed is very comfortable, AC efficient, bathroom spacious and practical. Cleaning was done every day! The view from the terraces over the green and the sea beyond is beautiful, and the setting is quiet and relaxing. Up the hill, a 15min walk from the beachfront restaurants. Putu and her family are extremely nice people who care about their guests and made me feel like home. Breakfast served every morning on my terrace was delicious!

• Feichter (10/5): really nice stay - Very friendly and dedicated owner; her pancakes were amazing! The accommodation was clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. During my entire trip, I haven't experienced such deep and relaxing sleep in any other place. Internet 10/10!!! All in all the price-performance is great. there was no fridge, but we didn't mind because we never needed one

Is the road hard? I learnt how to drive a motorbike 5 days ago before coming here and i still made it on my own.

• Noemi (10/5): Exceptional - Very recently built little Bungalow Boutique Hotel. Only 3 Bungalows, which makes it very quiet. The view from the porch is really lovely and you can watch the sunset from there. Run by a local lady who is very welcoming and friendly. She also provides scooter rental which is quite handy. The breakfast, which was included for us, was always freshly prepared and delicious. She also cleaned the room every day, which was not necessary but added to the cleanliness of the whole place. Great value for the price, definitely recommended. -
• Peng (9/5): Pleasant stay. - Quiet, serene environment with sea view. Proximity to FNPF (for bird watching enthusiasts). Room was cleaned daily without prompting. For travelers who can't ride motorbike, the reasonably good breakfast included eliminates need to go downhill to the main road for food. A little inconvenient for travelers who cannot ride a motorbike and who dislike walking. There is no public transport except for private taxi services.

• Miller (10/5): Overall great place to stay. Its new, the hosts are nice, has breakfast included, and housekeeping everyday. Its best to - I liked that the place was clean and new. The staff was also very nice. It didnt have a drying rack for my clothes. Some of my clothes were ruined by being stained from the wood table it was drying on. Please get drying racks!
• Cristina (10/5): Amazing bungalow with stunning hilltop views - An amazing new bungalow with stunning hilltop views. Spotlessly clean, featuring a super comfortable bed, good breakfast, and an excellent host. The hospitality was fantastic, and the little girls were very sweet. We loved it and will definitely return! Everything was perfect. Just note that the accommodation is located on a hill, so a taxi might be needed if you're not in good shape or carrying luggage.
• Cristian (10/5): Stuning view bungalow - Putu, the owner, is very friendly and will help you with anything you need. The view of the bungalow is stuning and the breakfast is tasty (try the omlette with fresh herbs). The road to bungalow is a little steep but if you rent a scooter that would not be a problem at all.
• Marlene (10/5): Nice quiet place suspended in the forest - We loved our stay at Vina Bungalows. The place is suspended above the forest, with an extraordinary view, with the ocean in the background. The surroundings were very quiet, we slept very well, away from the noise of the beachfront. The bed was confortable, with a large and thick mattress. Banana pancakes at breakfast were tasty. Our hosts were very accommodating, they helped us with the scooter rental, laundry and taxi reservation. Previous reviews have mentioned the remote location of Vina Bungalows: whereas it is true that a scooter is needed to safely travel the steep narrow road leading to the bungalows, when you discover the rest of the island, you realise it is quite the same everywhere, unless you rent directly by the beach! With a scooter Vina Bungalows is literally 5 minutes away from nice beachside cafes and restaurants.

You can choose the time for your brekkie every day! The family is so helpful and lovely! Room was perfectly clean and comfortable! Very peaceful environment Everything was perfect, no complaints!
• T (9/5): Superb - We rented the 3 bungalows with a group of friends and despite being quite isolated, we really enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean, big bed and big bathroom, very nice view, calm place. The host gave us a welcoming cold watermelon juice. The breakfast was great and served at time we requested 10-15mn walk from the restaurants zone with an ascending street. But we managed to have fun of it and enjoy the walk back in the evening :) The room is very simple with not too much furniture to put/ hang the clothes.
• Richard (9/5): Great value for money, and more. - Seems a fairly new place, which has a fantastic view. Staff is very thoughtful. The service level is much higher than is usual at this price level. During my stay there was a neighbour or rental villa in the valley with daily load music. Out of hands of the property, but I felt it worth mentioning.
• Escatalina (8/5): Very good - Beautiful room, with gorgeous views of the island and sea. The balcony was beautiful too. The room was very spacious and comfortable, so was the bed! Putu was very helpful and kind when we wanted to book a taxi and rent a scooter. They bring you breakfast to the balcony, which has been excellent. Very comfortable bed and pillows It would have been perfect to have a little fridge. Location is alright but you need a scooter to go and get water.

• Laura (10/5): Exceptional - We arrived in Nusa Penida without accommodation because we had made a mistake renting accommodation in Nusa Lembongan. In our search we found Vina Bungalows, with very modern rooms at a great price. We decided to take a chance and booked for two nights with breakfast included. It was the best surprise. The place is a 10-minute motorcycle ride from the port of Nusa Penida, in a super quiet area in the middle of nature. We woke up to the birds and had a fantastic view of nature and the sea. It's a 5-minute bike ride from many warungs, restaurants, bars, discos and beaches. The breakfast was super delicious and there was plenty to choose from. The bed is super comfortable, there's hot water and free toiletries, the air conditioning works perfectly and the decor is modern. The room is super clean and the towels are replaced, the bed was also made during our stay. The room is spotless. The hosts are very friendly and humble. On the last day we had to check out at midday and we didn't have the boat to Sanur until 4.30pm. The hosts were quick to take care of our luggage until we left, and we still had time to go for a walk and do some beach time before we left. We would definitely recommend this place. You won't regret it. We wish you every success and happiness.

The first thing that stood out was the incredibly comfortable bed – a dream to sleep in. The air conditioning worked like a charm, providing a refreshing escape from the tropical heat. The room was spotless and came with breathtaking view of the jungle and ocean. Waking up to the sounds of nature was also a wonderful experience. What made our stay truly exceptional, though, was Putu, our gracious host. She went above and beyond to ensure we felt right at home. Her warm hospitality extended to a delicious homemade breakfast each morning, a delightful start to our days. She was always ready to assist us with any requests or information we needed, making our stay in Nusa Penida truly memorable. Putu's care and attention to detail made us feel more like cherished guests than mere visitors. We left with a deep sense of gratitude and the feeling of having found a home away from home in Nusa Penida. We cant recommend this place enough for your stay in Nusa Penida!

• Markus (10/5): Our stay at this remote accommodation with a balcony overlooking a palm forest and the ocean was tra - We had a great stay at this holiday accommodation! The staff were super friendly and always ready to help with any questions we had. They made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The rooms were spotlessly clean, and they were cleaned every day during our stay, which was a big plus. The best part was the balconies right outside our room doors where they served breakfast. They were such relaxing places to start the day. They had a variety of breakfast options, and we loved the different blended juices they offered. You could choose from three breakfasts - banana pancakes, scrambled eggs with toast, or omelettes with toast, and you could also have tea or coffee. It was a great way to fuel up for the day ahead. Overall, we had a fantastic experience at this accommodation. It was clean, the staff were friendly, and the breakfast options were delicious. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay close to nature and away from the noisy main road. The location of this place is a bit remote and uphill, offering a fantastic view from the balcony overlooking a palm forest stretching all the way to the ocean. However, to explore the area comfortably, it's essential to rent a motorbike. In Bali, it seems like the most common mode of transportation, as hardly anyone is seen walking around on foot, except for dogs and chickens. You can easily request a Yamaha NMAX motorbike, and it will be conveniently delivered to the accommodation. The daily rental cost is just 150k IDR, which I found quite affordable. We used it to explore the entire island, and with the bike, the main road is just a quick 5-minute ride away. Traffic needs a bit getting used to (opinion of a middle European).

Putu and her family are extremely friendly & thoughtful.. they even brought me a young coconut when I was working on the balcony. The wifi is good enough to do zoom calls without interruption. So peaceful & quiet up here with not much road traffic. It’s up a steepish hill so you will be better off renting a scooter. Thank you so much for having me! N/a

Lovely breakfast every morning with a beautiful view. We extended our stay and were sad to leave. The location is perfect with a bike.
• Ce (10/5): Would stay there again! - Everything. Is up the hill but close to the beach bars. Overlooks the ‘jungle’ and is so peaceful you can have a nice rest there. It was spotless clean and the personnel were super nice and helpful.

The staff looking after us were exceptional and made a huge effort to make us feel at home. It’s close to lots of beach clubs so is a good location with a wicked view. It is located at the top of a really steep hill so if you aren’t confident at riding your bike in the dark then you may need to get a taxi back

• Jillian (10/5): Best place in Penida. Before finding Vina I changed homes 3x unhappy with each place. After finding Vina, I extended my - Just outside of the busy street. 6 min up the hill with a great view of jungle & ocean. Peaceful. You can see the stars perfectly from here! Loved everything. Just be aware the short driveway off the road is steep. So good the brakes coming down :)
