Guest Reviews
- Judith (10/5): - Comfortable, clean, convenient for town. Nothing
- Colin (9/5): - Location
- Hewson (10/5): Exceptional stay. - Location great for seafront, bars, parking. Room was absolutely spotless and cosy, plush towelling, great bed, shower. Well equipped for people staying a little longer with kitchen facilities available. Highly recommend. I'm trying, but I genuinely can't think of anything.
- Alberto (10/5): - Was clean and new
- Richard (2/5): Not a studio apartment / noisy / damp. - The SHARED kitchen was clean. BEWARE. This is in no way a “studio apartment”. It is an en-suite bedroom with a shared kitchen. The room smelled of damp, the towels smelled of damp, and the hallway smelled of either damp or cigarettes or both. The street was extremely noisy (think students yelling right outside the window at 3am) into the early hours, meaning that we were left with the choice of opening the window to air out the damp, or closing it to keep out the noise. Even though the kitchen was clean it was not private.
- Karen (10/5): -
- Redman (10/5): - The room was absolutely perfect and the bed was really comfy slept like a log
- Steve (8/5): -
- Daniel (10/5): Great room and location - Comfy bed and room was well decorated. Nothing.
- Kathryn (10/5): - Good instructions from host on how to enter property.
The room was simple and beautiful, clean and well stocked. Have no complaints.
- Gareth (10/5): - High standard of accommodation, personal touches, great value, excellent facilities
- John (9/5): Quiet, comfortable, very clean and well decorated with lovely furnishings and everything working well. - Quiet, convenient position, well appointed, kitchen well set up. The mess from seagull’s on the car which I managed to park jut outside. Had to go along to the car wash near Morrisons!
- parveen (9/5): Comforting, relaxing and joyful stay. Near to all touristic places - Location, friendly host, cleanliness at property
- Guest (8/5): -
- Threlfall (9/5): The apartment was ideal & I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again or recommend it to anyone. - It was very clean , comfortable.
Close to town & amenities
Shared kitchen wasn’t a problem . We never saw anyone else at property so felt didn’t feel uncomfortable using it .
Owner was quick at answering my couple of texts . I would have liked dark curtains . As the street light was outside our room & it felt bright even with blinds closed. My husband didn’t have a problem with it
- Nick (7/5): - Good location, very clean.
- Tony (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable, have stayed here 3 times now. Will definitely be staying again when next visiting my daughter. Check in is quite late (4pm) but on arrival I called the owner who was lovely and got the keys a couple of hours early. Thanks.
- Sonnie Laight (7/5): Misleading description, otherwise a nice place - Close to the town centre Description of the property stated that it was an apartment, but when we got there another guest was at the door. Turns out that it was not an apartment at all, but a room only in a house. If I wanted a house share option then it would be great, but for an anniversary weekend away it was not.
- Robert (9/5): -
- Paul (7/5): -
- Ceri (10/5): - Loved how close it was to everything..the apartment was beautiful and clean, and I was not expecting it to be as nice as it was. Heather was extremely helpful and fast at responding to messages.. Will definitely book again. N/A
- Kevin (9/5): -
- Rachael (8/5): -
- Hugh (8/5): - Clean and tidy and easy to access The pictures kind of suggest a studio flat with kitchen included but it’s not - it’s an en suite bedroom with a shared kitchen on the first floor between 4 or 5 bedrooms
- Ella (8/5): -
- Salome (7/5): No sleep, bed not comfortable, no heating disappointed - Good location, good concept, clean everything you need is provided as normal It was very disappointed that the spring bed was very bad, cause us to have body pain, couldn't not sleep. Pls get better mattress, for good rating. The room was very cold, radiator was turned to 5 still did not heat up the room as the temperature was set low putting heating did not work, no heating in the bathroom. I would have given 5 star if these were i. Good order. Very bad.
- Elin (5/5): - Very clean and comfortable bed The TV did not work, slatted blinds in bedroom and sheer voile, which let in all the street light, pub across the road very noisy at closing, an traffic late at night.
Every time we went out we locked the front door, and every time we came back it was unlocked, which didn't make us feel very safe at night
- Heather (9/5): Nice little place - Good location, nice and clean, nicely decorated The TV wasn't tuned in and didn't work.
I didn't realise until we got there that the kitchen is shared. That's my mistake though, not the owners.

- Caroline (5/5): I felt quite misled by the description of this accommodation as a studio apartment and feel the price charged was for a - The accommodation was clean apart from the bed (see comment below). In no way is this a studio apartment and it should not be advertised as such, it is an en-suite room with a shared kitchen. There were two black hairs on the bed sheets. The location is opposite one very noisy pub with another 100 yards down the street which were still very noisy on both Friday and Saturday nights until 2 a.m.
- Maris (9/5): -
- Chris (7/5): -
- Delyth (10/5): Lovely stay with my daughter. Great location, perfect room - Lovely room, perfect central location The room was spacious and very well laid out. Had everything we needed.
- Miranda (8/5): Would have been perfect if I could of had a better sleep - Location great, nice room and comfortable It is very nosiey, from
Rooms above and attaching rooms, you can hear every piece of movement.
Busy street with two pubs and general traffic
Wouldn’t recommend if you are early to bed person or a light sleeper

- Gwyn (6/5): - Clean and tidy. Great location to town and beach Smaller than imagined looking at the pics. No chairs in the room only a bed and stool. Shared Kitchen which was clean and tidy, but in use by another couple while we were in, so Ate in the room
- Delyth (8/5): -
- Baxter (6/5): A nice stay for what we paid! - Amazing location! Very noisy at night. Fan didn’t work. Late check in.
- andrew (9/5): -
- Euryn (8/5): very nice and pleasant. - Property was clean and nicely decorated- bathroom decent size as was the bed and the room itself. Facing road but no noise really at night to worry about. Nothing to say really- only issue is that the impression on Booking .com is an tht it is an apartment with a kitchen but the kitchen itself is not part of the set up- it's a shared kitchen at the side of the property so not part of the room. But it's nice enough. Close to town itself.
- Samantha (1/5): -
- Gareth (10/5): - Superb facilities, furnished to a very high standard, excellent communication and ideal location
- Paul (9/5): - Location cleanliness No wardrobe or coat hangers
- Herman (9/5): - The apartment was clean and well kept. Attention to detail is great. Good location.
- Colin Kuebler (9/5): -
- Julian (6/5): - noisy neighbours arguing kept us awake and bed linen were not fresh and clean
- gracinda (9/5): -
- paulo (8/5): -
- Bart delfosse (10/5): My stay at 25a Bridge Street, Aberystwyth - Flat was well stocked and clean, owner has good communication skills, good organisation, helpful, and responds quickly to queries. In a restful environment, other residents were considerate. There was nothing I did not like.
- chris (8/5): - Location is handy for town and overnight parking.
- Liz (9/5): It was a last minute decision to stay. We hadn’t bought anything with us, so grateful for everything the apartment had. - The room was lovely. Spotlessly clean. Had lovely towels ( not boring white ones). Toiletries were in the room and thankfully a USB charger. Tea making facilities as well. The separate kitchen had everything we needed. Was only there one night, so wine glasses were sought and found. Dogs were welcome too. Happy Room was very warm. Opened the window but too noisy. Found a fan in the wardrobe, so this helped.
- Beccy (9/5): -
- p (7/5): Comfy room and bathroom, but lots of noise into early hours on Saturday night - Clean, well decorated room Street noise on a Saturday night past 1am into the early morning, seems located near night clubs and pubs.
Wasn't aware of the shared kitchen
- Emmanuel (8/5): -
- Daniela (7/5): Good location, soundproofing needed - Very good location, clean bathroom, good shower. Stale smell throughout, soundproofing needed as you can hear everything from upstairs.
- Nick (9/5): It was a nice place - There were a lot of nice touches Nothing
- Barnabás (10/5): -
- Andrew (9/5): -
- David (7/5): - Room was clean, No airflow, we were in the ground floor room, so could not open the window
- Rebecca (8/5): Everything you could need - Chose this property as there was access to kitchen/cooking facilities which made it very good value for money. Na
- Graham (8/5): Good two days , - The room was very clean , it had all what we required foe our short stay, we'll done . Accommodation very good ,Parking was difficult to find but the weather was exceptionally good so there was alot a people at the sea side resort on the day we arrived.
- Luca (8/5): Una notte a Aberystwyth - Camera abbastanza spaziosa, bagno pulito e doccia nuova. Letto abbastanza scomodo e assenza di accoglienza.
- Hawkins (9/5): Great stay - Very clean, great location, lovely decor. Nothing. Great stay. Would have been great with a lounge chair, but probably not enough space.
- Fiona (10/5): Delightful and friendly host - Beautiful accommodation. Immaculately clean. Great touches like fantastic towels and large teacups. An easy walk from the train station. A delightful host who allowed us to check in early when our train arrived.
- Emily (10/5): Perfect location, staff friendly and helpful. Beautiful place. - Perfect location, clean, provided a cot for baby. Couldn’t do enough for us.
Excellent facilities in kitchen. Nothing
- Agnès (10/5): - Parfait. Propre. Confortable. Attention cuisine partagée, et escaliers raides.
- Christina (10/5): -
- Vicki (8/5): Lovely rooms and great location - The location was very central. The rooms are beautiful and the shared kitchen was well equipped Unfortunately it’s a very noisy street late at night with students partying
- Nicola (10/5): -
- Huw (9/5): A splendid place. Highly recommended - Very comfortable and lovely kitchen.
- keith (8/5): Great stay 10 minute walk from car park - Well equipped kitchen,
Comfortable room Respect from other quests
- Ian (8/5): Good value for money and good location close to the bustling town centre. - Location was good - very close to the town centre. We were able to park immediately outside the property on the road even though there is no designated parking.
The room was clean and the bed was comfy. There was no noise from outside despite being on a busy street and close to a pub. Nothing to say here. Everything was as described.
- Andrew (9/5): - Bedroom fine, comfortable etc..Shared kitchen very useful. Near beach, shops, pubs, walks into surrounding countryside Nothing
- Heidi (8/5): -
- Mike PP (10/5): -
- Knight (9/5): -
- Marco (2/5): Nice place but not the ground-floor room - Clean and tidy.
Desk fan in the room to help with addressing the heat.
Tea, coffee and milk available in the room. As per other feedbacks, the listing is misleading: we booked an "entire apartment" but on a careful read, the listing mentions a "shared kitchen". The place is indeed one of 4 rooms with ensuite bathroom in a shared house. Not a major concern despite not happy about the unclarity.
The real problem is that we stayed in the only ground-floor room where the level of humidity was unbearable. A pungent musty smell on the entire ground floor, especially in the room, accompanied our entire stay (luckily, just one night).
The climate change within the apartment was easily perceivable when just climbing 4-5 steps to go to the first floor, where the kitchen and the other rooms are located: way healthier environment.
- Robert (9/5): Great value for Uni visits! - Short walk to shops, cafe & seafront.
Double glazing very efficient with road noise.
Very clean modern kitchen facilities.
Large shower.
- Scott (7/5): Good location - Easy to find, nice little room and bathroom and getting the keys was easy, good communication with the hosts The bed and pillow was really uncomfortable and we didn’t get much sleep, struggled to lock the front door and in the streets it must have been bin day and rubbish was everywhere
- Lindsey (1/5): A very disappointing stay - not as advertised! - The room was tidy and clean, and the shower was hot with good pressure. The bed was comfortable. The room was advertised as a studio apartment. It was not. It was an ensuite room. The kitchen was shared with all other rooms in the property and was right next to my room which meant every time another guest went to use it, I heard every bang, scrape and chop as well as their conversation. I had to store my food in a shared fridge and leave it unattended. I had wanted a private space with a sitting area and kitchen to use while visiting my son at university so that we could spend some time together and I could cook for him. The TV was also quite basic (probably 10 years + old) with no smart function and very small.
It was noisy during the day with the businesses nearby, including a tattoo parlour (I had to do some work during the day) but very noisy at night with the bar opposite staying open until very late. Other guests were loud and came back very late. This was intimidating for a woman staying alone. They also did not engage when a dispute was raised regarding a payment they took without consent from my credit card. Thankfully, Booking.com supported me with this, and it was rectified.
A very disappointing stay. Beware if you want a studio. This is not for you.
- Mookk (10/5): -
- Elsa Carla (10/5): Great location and super clean - Very convenient location, super clean, very well equipped kitchen
- Miranda (7/5): Pleasant but needs sound proofing - It was for a single nights stay It was very noisy. When a guest went in heir bathroom it felt like they were in your room. Could hear everything from people above . Not a great sleep
Would not recommend if you have a dog that is reactive to sound .
- Tracey (8/5): -
- Yoshi (9/5): Convenient location. Spotless room. Friendly host. - The property is located in the centre of the town, within walking distance of shops and cafes. We were able to park our car right outside the property on the road. Friendly and responsive host. As the property is in the centre of the town, it is rather noisy at night over the weekend.
- JJ Griessel (6/5): - The bed was nice and the bathroom was very clean It's not an apartment so I was disappointed as i had made dinner plans and it ended up being a share house with shared kitchen.
The room was right on the high street andi appreciate it was a heat wave but it was noisy as I couldn't close the window.
- Ken (8/5): -
- Lynwen (9/5): Lovely room and use of well equipped kitchen. Exceptionally clean. - Lovely, comfortable room with ensuite and use of a shared kitchen with all the mod cons. Spotlessly clean. Hosts very helpful and friendly. Would stay again. Thank you! Diolch :) Nothing
- David (8/5): - Good location clean and well equipped. Fair price.. We only stayed one night, and it was fine for us For awareness; the parking can be difficult, I appreciate its town center, but we ended up a couple of streets away and got soaked carrying bags back to the room. Had a very noisy night, a bar or pub nearby seemed to close late, and the patrons were noisy on the way home. Then the very noisy seagulls started up at around 4am Only a problem if you're a light sleeper, I think my wife slept through. Also, the property is shown as an apartment , it's not its a double toom with an on-suite and a shared well equipped kitchen. Just so you know, it didn't bother us particularly.
- Clare (9/5): Great place and location. Will come again - Great shower Too much early light let in by the light curtains
- christina (8/5): Lovely location accomadation was very clean.Shared kitchen had everything you needed. - Great location ,lovely and clean.
- Philip (6/5): - Very clean, good instructions, Poor ventilation from bathroom meant room smelt damp. Never met any staff. Expensive for what it was. Bed small and uncomfortable
- Yolande (9/5): - Location location. The finer details in the decoration. Bed was comfy (I like soft mattresses). Good water pressure and hot water always a bonus. 😊 Can't say I didn't like as it's not a huge issue but it would have been nice to have a power outlet next to the bed. Also can't say didn't like, but just want to mention the room is very compact, so could be tricky for someone with mobility issues.
Would I stay here again if in the area? Yes.
- Gary D (8/5): Perfect one night stay - Great accomodation in the centre of Aberystwyth. Beautifully clean and tidy, with some nice extra touches.
