• Pierre (10/5): Je recommande vivement ce gite - L'accueil sur place par nos hôtes était parfait, avec la découverte de tous les animaux sous les yeux émerveillés de notre fille de 11 ans. Le site et le gite étaient également parfaits pour se reposer, dans un cadre au vert, bien situés pour rejoindre rapidement Tirana, l'aéroport ou rayonner aux environs de Tirana. Déjeuner entourés de paons, d'un chien et de chats, que demander de plus ! Rien

• Simone (10/5): Wat een prachtige locatie en schone kamers! - Het prachtige stuk land wat super onderhouden is, het huisje was heel netjes, fijne buitenkeuken en het spectaculaire uitzicht. Het was bovenverwachting mooi! Wij hadden van te voren boodschappen gedaan om zelf te koken. De gastheer heeft ons een leuke rondleiding gegeven over het land en we mochten verse eitjes pakken. Onze kinderen vonden het super; er waren o.a. kittens, kuikentjes en een lief hondje. We hebben dit geboekt als laatste nacht van onze vakantie door Albanië vanwege de ligging bij het vliegveld. Heerlijk om zoveel comfort te hebben op de laatste nacht. Wij komen graag nog eens! Alles was perfect. De Pauw heeft ons wel wakker gehouden, maar dat vonden we ook wel grappig.

• Laurens (10/5): Geweldig als je van rust, natuur en dieren houdt - Echt ons leukste en mooiste verblijf in Albanie. Mooi gelegen hoog op de berg. De tuin is prachtig en wordt netjes onderhouden door de eigenaar. Als je van dieren houdt is dit een paradijsje. Het hondje Booby kwam ons meteen begroeten toen we aankwamen. Later kwamen de katten ook hallo zeggen. De zoon van de eigenaar kwam nog een praatje maken, super vriendelijke mensen! Tip: oordopjes meenemen voor de nacht. De pauwen en hanen namen zich namelijk graag horen.

It has that slightly hippy, laid-back feel that makes you instantly relax—it just feels very real and unspoilt. Everything was perfect....wasnt anything not to like.

Although only a short driving distance to both the airport and the centre of Tirana it felt peaceful and relaxing. Views were spectacular and we enjoyed seeing the animals. This isn’t just a place to sleep , it’s an experience on another level and we are so grateful for the hospitality and length the hosts went to enhance our stay . You have the whole house to yourself ! Unbelievable . Stunning property with amazing interiors and exteriors , breathtaking views ,very well maintained garden with outdoor kitchen and cozy corners to recharge , inhale the fresh air and enjoy the stunning views .Just 15min from the airport but feels so surreal. 🌾 We stayed at many places in Albania but nothing copares to Bujtina Salko . The owners made our children so happy , they had opportunity to pet all animals , bunnies , baby goats …. they even had peacocks . • Harsh Singh (10/5): - The property is beautiful. Perfect getaway for quite relaxing stay away from the business of major cities. The host is super friendly and helpful. Our flight landed at midnight and the host offered a paid airport pickup. The only regret I have is our short stay. The property needs a revisit in future for sure. For animal lovers, make sure to get treats for Bop and the cats.

Man kommt gleich an, die Häuschen sind süß, es gibt eine Küche, viele Tiere, frisches Obst, fantastisches Frühstück und eine tolle Aussicht. Super Lage für die erste oder letzte Nacht in Nähe des Flughafens. Nichts.

Well worth the effort to get out of the city, headed to Durrës. Difficult to navigate the paths, and steep stairs for “older” guests. Pay by cash. No breakfast.

• Wendy (10/5): - Butjina Salko is een juweeltje: het huis waar je verblijft is met smaak ingericht en comfortabel en de omgeving is prachtig. Het is rustig en er scharrelen allerlei soorten dieren rondom het huis (een hondje, katten, eenden...), terwijl je in tien minuten bij het vliegveld bent, maar ook zo in Tirana. De eigenaren zijn gastvrij en vriendelijk. Als het kan: blijf langer dan 1 nachtje en gebruik dit als uitvalsbasis om bijvoorbeeld Tirana en Krujë te ontdekken.

The hosts are so welcoming and they take extreme care of the area and their wonderful animals. The living area is soo big and spacious and the bedrooms are upstairs and very cozy. It's so beautiful and peaceful.... would recommend to all. Keep in mind that kitchenette is outside.
• Silvia (9/5): Struttura fantastica peccato per il bagno - Splendida struttura in pietra vicina a Tirana ma lontana dal traffico e dal cemento, situata fra le colline e le piante di ulivo. Tutto arredato con cura e molto pulito. Frigo bar attrezzato e calda accoglienza all’arrivo. L’unica nota negativa è il bagno: la doccia è progettata senza il vetro quindi a ogni lavaggio il bagno si allaga. È dato in dotazione un tira-acqua per spazzare l’acqua verso lo scarico che è situato all’angolo opposto della stanza. L’umidità e l’assenza di finestre fanno sì che ci sia cattivo odore costante. Altro problema lo sciacquone che non era sufficientemente potente per cui rimanevano residui sulla tazza costantemente.

Nous avons été impressionnés par ce lieu, magnifiquement conçu, au milieu des animaux, avec un accueil très chaleureux et tout le confort possible (y compris une cuisine d'été, deux terrasses, un frigo, la fête des chats et du chien mangeur de chaussures) Irréprochable, nous reviendrons sans hésiter!!

• Alba (10/5): A Magical Place for Families, Nature and Animals Lovers, and Relaxation. - This was the final stop of my 12-day trip through Albania, and I honestly couldn’t have imagined a more perfect ending. If I could give a score higher than 10, it would be 100/10! Everything about this place exceeded expectations — the attention to detail, the tasteful decoration, the stunning gardens and landscape. It’s perfect for both adults and children. My teenage kids were amazed by the animals, which makes it an ideal spot for anyone who loves nature and animals. Truly unforgettable. My only regret is discovering it at the end of my trip and staying just one night. I will definitely return for at least a week to fully enjoy this wonderful place. Thank you very much

• Galina (10/5): Great experience - Fantastic place, our best stay in Albania, clean, comfortable, calm, beautiful, the owners really did a great job. Sitting in the pomegranate gardens with a view and enjoy the evening was fantastic. The villas were equipped with everything you need. It’s 15 minutes drive to airport, nevertheless it has no noise at all and beautiful scenery. The owner was really friendly greet us with fruits and wine and brought us to the supermarket to buy the supplies. We would love to come back.

• AINARA (10/5): Un alojamiento increíble para repetir - El sitio es una maravilla, con unas vistas preciosas. Estuvimos solo la noche antes de coger el vuelo de vuelta pero nos hubiese encantado quedarnos más. La familia que lo lleva es súper amable, nos dieron frutas de sus árboles. Tienen un montón de animales sueltos para poder estar entretenido si vas con niños. Dormimos en una pequeña casita para nosotros que estaba súper limpia y nueva con la habitación y el baño en la parte de arriba y un saloncito en la parte de abajo. Está súper bien ambientada en la naturaleza y con intimidad total. Tiene una cocina exterior, con una mesa grande para comer o para estar con la puesta de sol. El lugar nos ha encantado. Si no te gusta despertarte con el gallo por la mañana no es tu sitio jaja

• Anonymous (10/5): Lovingly cared for .Great place! - A stunning place! We really enjoyed it and even extended our stay there! The owners are lovely - they work and cultivate the place with a lot of love and you can feel it. They were also very helpful and took care of everything for us. The view is relaxing and peaceful. The animals outside are cute (small dogs and lots of birds, a peacock). Everything is clean and cozy. Note that the kitchen is outside (this has an advantage - the house remains free of cooking smells) - we enjoyed cooking in it. Highly recommended. It is better to be there with a car, but for those who don't have a car - a taxi from Tirana cost us 17 euros each time. Very close to the airport (15 minutes, 11-12 euros) so it is also excellent for those who want to rest between flights... Notice that you need a car/taxi to get there.

• Krzysztof (10/5): A must visit if you value peace, tranquillity and cute animals - This is an amazing stay for anyone who loves nature and animals. The owners live off site, and so we were greeted by two very friendly small dogs, one of which was a puppy. There are also 2 cats and the 4 of these animals get along like they are all part of a family. With the exception of the main road down in the valley, the view is spectacular. High up above Vore, you have panoramic views, with several levels on the grounds. There are numerous seating areas where you can enjoy the view, great for watching the sun set. The property itself is a very high standard - quality finish, very comfortable bed. The outdoor kitchen has most things you need, and includes a capsule coffee machine and essentials such as oil, salt, pepper. It's about 15 minutes to the airport which was perfect for us. The property is on 2 levels with a lounge downstairs and the bedroom upstairs. There is a fridge in the lounge. A short walk away, maybe 30m, there is an outdoor kitchen. It would be really useful to have a fridge in the kitchen, otherwise there is no where to hide any open food, either from the heat, or from the eager group of 4 cats and dogs.

• Ilse (10/5): Exceptional - The view was wonderful, the grounds with so many flowers, plants and different animals. The house was simple but comfortable and big enough for our family. The owners are kind and friendly and made us a delicious breakfast (Xtra cost, per request) and showed us around. They only speak Albanian, but their son is the communicator and speaks great English. We would recommend this place without hesitation. Nothing. The only thing was that my son felt so sad saying goodbye to their puppy that he bonded with!
• Yair (10/5): In a word- WOW! - In a word- WOW! Pictures cannot do this place justice. FAR exceeded our expectations. It felt like we were inside a movie... We were in shock as we pulled up the driveway and the property came into view. The home is spacious, comfy, and tastefully furnished and designed. It is surrounded by beautifully manicured gardens on a secluded hillside. A couple of friendly dogs, cats, ducks, and birds inhabit the gardens and kept us company. The atmosphere is simply unmatched... The hosts are very communicative, and seem unaware of how special the place they've put together is. We're only sorry we didn't stay more than one night. We hope to return again soon.

• Orhan (10/5): Superb! - Bujtina Salko is an absolute gem! Wonderful hosts with excellent communication, courtesy of their daughter. They thoughtfully had the fireplace lit for our arrival, which was greatly appreciated on a rainy January day, and provided us with plenty of firewood for our stay. The house and surrounding property are simply stunning. Very convenient proximity to the airport. My only regret is not booking a longer stay! My daughter was in tears when we had to leave. I would highly recommend that guests book at least 2 nights, minimum.

The hosts are very welcoming and polite, they gifted us a delicious little fruit basket. The house was extremely clean, all details were accounted for, we had a very good time for our last day in Albania. The airport is easily reached from here in 15 min. Nothing.
• Arevvera (10/5): beautiful and quiet little cabin in the hills around tirana - close to tirana but still hidden away on a very quiet hill. you can unwind from hectic tirana and watch the sun set while being surrounded by farm animals; ducks, chickens, peacocks and a very cute cat. the rustic cabins are very well maintained and spotlessly clean. plenty of towels, a bathrobe and a very comfy bed. this place has all you need. separated from the cabin is a kitchen with seating area with all the utensils you need. on arrival we also got a fruit basket and a bottle of wine!! everything was great!

The cottage was well furnished and had lovely outdoor space with table and chairs . The owners met us on arrival and also provided a great breakfast on request which we enjoyed in the garden. We would have liked a shelf in the bathroom over the basin.

• Christopher (9/5): Superb - Very special and unique accomadation experience in Albania. The view is AMAZING. You're truly in the countryside but only 15-20 minutes to Tirana airport and Durres. The family hosts were so nice. It was like staying at a zoo, with the cat, dog, birds, and the peacock! That Peacock is beautiful and hilarious. The room was nice and airconditioned. Beautiful place! I wouldn't have wanted to stay more than 1-2 nights for logistics. The kitchen is outside, the living room is in a separate entrance than the bedroom, just not so convenient for cooking.

This place is fantastic: The very generous and supportive hosts, the wonderful nature and animals around, the comfortable, beautifully renovated house and the well-equipped outdoor kitchen. This place is great if you like nature and are looking for a quiet retreat. It is also very well located as it is close to Tirana, Durres and the airport. We stayed two nights and enjoyed this time so much that we would stay longer next time. Nothing, this was one of the best places we've ever stayed in!
• Juliana (9/5): Superb - Great experience! The hosts are super kind, the place is lovely. Up in the mountain with a beautiful view of the city. Everything was very clean, the bed very comfortable and they received us with a bottle of wine and some chocolates us a gift! Recomend 100% for a short stay. The bathroom is not that comfortable because the shower its open so everything gets wet. Just for that I will recommend these place for a short stay
• Paola (8/5): Beautiful view - The property is beautiful, the view, the style, the surroundings. We really enjoyed the bbq area. Recommended to really follow the map he shares (with all the stops) otherwise you may get lost. The kitchen was too far away from the standard villa, so if you’re interested on cooking that may not work out that well.

• Anamaria (10/5): If you travel to Tirana or Bovilla Lake, you can bet that this is one of the best properties - This property is amazing , a lot better than publicized in booking. It´s being run by a young family with two kids , who made an excellent job! The hospitality of the host , the super delicious breakfast with home made, top quality ingredients , the location and it´s views made the difference. The villa is super spacious, super clean/ new and cozy, designed in albanian style. We slept and felt like in our own home! In the property they have all kind of animals, birds, chickens, cat, peacock, ducks etc... The son of the couple do speak perfect english and it´s very easy to handle everything with them. I would definitely go back if any chance given again. This hard working family deserves a 5 STAR plus for their amazing job!I definitely highly recommend this place We liked and enjoyed everything!!!!
• Lucas (8/5): A peaceful property just a short drive from the airport. - A peaceful property just a short drive from the airport. Our flight was very early in the morning, so we booked one night here to get some rest before the long flight. The host took tremendous effort to make us comfortable, picking us up at the airport and bringing us dinner which we ate at a table with a nice view of the sunset. Great WiFi.
