Guest Reviews
- Kamidu (10/5): Excellent - Excellent location! Beyond expectation and view was incredible. Kay was really helpful Facilities could have been improved specially the bath. However I was happy to compromise it for the the beautiful view
- Lea (10/5): Great experience! - A very cute and cosy caravan with the use of a converted horsebox for additional facilities such as a fridge, microwave, electric hob and indoor seating with a view.
There was a choice of a firepit or a chimenea with outdoor table and seating. We took our own wood but you can purchase it there. The caravan itself is quaint and quirky and is kitted out well with pots, pans, utensils and a kettle with tea, coffee, chocolate and nibbles.
Overall, we loved our stay, even though it was brief and would recommend the experience to anyone. Nothing.
- Mark (9/5): Great location and super cozy - Amazing location and super cozy.
The addition of the modified horse box as a relaxing room to enjoy the view with a cheeky beer is a great addition. Definitely recommend! Shower needs a little work
- Kelly Radburn (10/5): - Beautiful surroundings
Quirky, cute accommodation
Really informative and helpful staff
Will be returning
- rebecca (9/5): Fabulous as always - Beautiful views, great there’s a horse box now to relax in and watch the sun set. Take a bigger duvet though for the bed. Fire pit and outside area is just perfect. Couldn’t see the shower.
- Hopwell (10/5): A very good value, atmospheric and comfortable caravan stay. - Lovely quiet countryside location with great views, easy access and convenient parking. Very cosy well equipped caravan with lots of thought put into lighting, decoration, comfort (convenient electric heater and lots of cushions) and entertainment (interesting books and DVDs, with portable DVD player) and several comfortable places to sit and enjoy the views (even under cover on comfy cushions seats). Excellent to have separate cooking and fridge facilities. Nothing. Everything was very well thought out and made a very atmospheric and comfortable caravan stay.
- Pauline (9/5): Lovely and peaceful stay in a quirky caravan - Cosy, clean, quiet and unique All was good
- rebecca (10/5): - We loved the retro caravan for our 1 night stay and it was walking distance to the Nothing Bound brewery ( along the road ).
In a peaceful setting with beautiful views and lovely to make use of the outdoor furniture to watch the sun set.
The owner greeted us and was very friendly and helpful. Nothing.
- Andrew Rutter (10/5): Perfect hidden getaway - Perfect getaway, fantastic views from the swing bench, excellent location, lovely hosts, loved every minute of our stay Nothing at all to dislike.
- Claire (9/5): -
- Mark (8/5): Creat value for money and super comfy - Location was amazing, comfy caravan and very clean. It was fantastic to sit out in the evening and watch the horses in the field next door roam around. Shower needs a little work
- Elisa (10/5): Exceptional - The Caravan is situated in a beautiful area and is very private. If your looking for retro and peace and quiet this is the place to visit. The only noises you hear are the beautiful sounds of nature. The views are amazing and the horses that come into the field you can watch for hours. This is definitely somewhere to switch off and enjoy your time doing nothing x That we had to leave 😁
- Karl (10/5): Awesome and quiet location , spot the dog was cool and greeted us when back from getting food - Nice and quiet , horse made me jump when I was sat outside with my vape and coffee lol Actually nothing to dislike :)
- Rebecca (10/5): Amazing little caravan! - Beautiful surroundings, peaceful Kitchen was in a separate building but could still make drinks in the caravan
- Jade (9/5): Superb -
- Alice (10/5): Can't wait to come back! - Absolutely beautiful little van, felt like going from home to home..
Kay was lovely and very chatty and accommodating and "spot" the dog was lush!!
Was lovely waking up to see the horses grazing!
Already planning our next visit 😁
Ps the bed was superrrr comfy..
- Steve (6/5): Pleasant - Tranquil and out the way.
We were lucky with the weather so muddled through a bbq.
Our host was so friendly and helpful 😁 We didn't attempt a shower, so I can't comment but think it would have been an experience 😁
We were disappointed the bed had been made up as when it rained, we could only balance on the bed as opposed to sitting in the caravan.
It was our first time in a small caravan, and quickly realised it's not for us, but this is no reflection on the host.
- Olivia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laura (10/5): Idyllic, cute, cosy and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. - Adored our stay here and will be back to hopefully stay for more than one night. Was super cosy in the caravan, we packed warm clothes because it was March but didn’t need them. Had absolutely everything we needed for a perfect stay. The view is beautiful and lots of great communication from Kay. Super friendly, super lovely, 10/10 and will be staying again! Xx

- Mike (5/5): Passable -
- Robert (8/5): Very good - Unusual experience. Maintenance needed. Fix broken catches etc. Get the old lights working. Improve the 'temporary' extension lead system. Remove old fire to make more space.
- Dirden (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fran (10/5): Ultimately relaxing! - The retro caravan is a wonderful cosy retreat in a beautiful area with stunning views. We loved the outdoor shower, the peace & quiet, Spot the dog, the horses & everything else that Kay had so thoughtfully provided. A real escape from the modern world but with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Thankyou! Nothing

- Dan (10/5): Beautiful place - The host Kay was very friendly and helpful 🙂 located in a beautiful area with stunning scenery.
- Marta (10/5): Amazing! - Extremely private and amazing view.
The fire pits was amazing
- Shelley (9/5): Superb - It’s quaint, clean and the location is lovely
- Janet (3/5): Poor - It doesn’t matter how good the accommodations is ( in this case poor) it is a pointless exercise when you can’t find it. We received no instructions and the telephone messages left with the owner were ignored, After well over an hour of a frustrating search, we had the luck to speak to a lady who made phone calls and gave us an indication and a gate code of a property that might be the one we were looking for. It finally turned up trumps. The property was behind the house on the main road so it was literally out of sight and as far as the owners were concerned; out of mind. Our advice: give them a miss!
- Shelley (9/5): Lovely ☺️ - Very quaint and cosy, fabulous location There was nothing to dislike
- Joanne (10/5): Rest and revive - Retro Caravan was beautiful and just what we needed to switch off from the hum of mundane life. Loved having the chimenea on in the evening, watching the sun slowly fade and listening to the owls in the dark. Nothing - It was all good.
- Rachel (10/5): Beautiful caravan In beautiful surroundings - Everything! Lovely host, couldn’t do enough for us.
Beautiful surroundings - loved cooking on the Chiminea! Wish I’d booked more than one night!
- Chelsea (10/5): Perfect stay exactly what we wanted, would return! -
- Melissa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Donnanewby (10/5): Exceptional - Everything! A quiet surroundings, calm and slow environment. Lovely walks on the doorstep. Beautiful sunsets. Exceptional very friendly attentive, thoughtful and helpful host. Although facilities are not the same as a hotel, it is a wonderful place to come if you find normal places too noisy, like myself who has Hyperacusis, Autism and ADHD. I cannot fault anything. I am happy with my stay, and would like to stay again in future.

- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Nice
- Melissa (10/5): Exceptional - Quirky caravan amazing view
- John (9/5): Not for everyone ( especially in winter ! ) but just as described with a terrific host . - Kay was exceptional . Always on site , ready to assist . Lovely to talk to . Finding the entrance ! Extremely easy to miss .
Either better , more detailed instructions or a prominent ‘Retro Caravan’ sign . Also , if arriving or leaving by car , before opening/closing the gate , be aware that your vehicle will be jutting out into the road with poor visibility for you and others . Use your hazard lights !
