- Jenz (5/5): Too basic for me. Never again. - No breakfast. We left very early.
Did not have dinner there either. Very expensive. Toilet some distance away. Shower facilities were awful.
- peter (10/5): Peaceful and friendly - Dinner was great ,top steak and the beers cold The pub was tipical old pub, welcoming staff and friendly locals
- Tina (7/5): Loved my stay. Perfect for what I needed. - Great staff and a little hidden gem just off the Bruce Hwy. It was simple, but suited the purpose perfectly. They have a great carpark out the back that you can pull up with your caravans also. Meals looked excellent, beer was cold and locals were entertaining. Rooms are dated and could do with a paint, sheets were cheap which made them scratchy to sleep on, but it was $90 per night, I'm not expecting the Sheraton. Shared bathroom and toilets, but the facilities were really clean, so not really a big problem.

- R (5/5): it's okay - I guess it is fair for the price you pay. The room isn't great but doable The facilities were not so clean, and were full of dust.
- graham (8/5): -
- Karen (8/5): Comfortable and convenient location for drive on Bruce Highway. - Lovely hosts and comfortable beds, Just what we needed after a day full of driving. Fish was overcooked, would not order it again,
- Allison (6/5): - Great for a quick afforddable stop on your road trip. No frills but good value and comfortable beds. Need better signage for residents only door and guest shower and toilet doors. Needs maintenance with tiles falling off, lose steps and mould in bathrooms.

- Karlee (10/5): - Welcoming people
- Juliette (8/5): - Great place, very cowboy and local we loved the vibe and the bar! Nice stop on the way to Agnes Water ! Would definitely recommend. Nothing
- Isabelle (10/5): -
- Lucas (10/5): Good sleep - Nice little place just off the highway. Easy access and good service
- wayne (7/5): - Rustic old pub charm. Shared bathroom
- David (8/5): Pleasant stay, friendly obliging staff - Pleasant surrounds and friendly staff, enjoyed my dinner. Brekky - help yourself, some fruit or juice to make it more complete, small individual packets of cereal might be beter than the large containers of cereal
- Orchard (7/5): -
- Liem (1/5): - Only patron then they all left leaving me alone. There wifi but not allowed to use it for the tv in the bar. I have to go caravan park to use internet, u better stay there more decent. Outside toilet like Victorian time
- B (8/5): -
- Gary (3/5): Spend more money elsewhere. - Location. Only one toilet for 8 rooms! I had the $40 fisherman’s basket for dinner and it was honestly probably seven dollars worth of frozen rubbish. It was absolutely disgusting.
- Cheryl (6/5): It was ok for 1 night stopover but that was enough for me - It was a 1 night stop over and it was comfortable and clean and was attached to the local pub. The meals were delicious and staff friendly. There wasn’t anything else around The room had a window but you could not open it and there was an air conditioner, which I hate using, so it was a bit claustrophobic for me. I had to share the bathroom facilities and no tv.
- Phil (7/5): -
- Leanne (5/5): - Air con and price Mozzies inside room and outside. No toilet paper.
- Daniel (7/5): I’d recommend staying here on a boys trip, or as an adventurous couple. - The wife and I enjoyed a couple of drinks in the pub. This isn’t family accommodation, and it was never represented as such.
- Jessica (1/5): Terrifying - Nothing Everything. My fault, I didn’t read the listing properly but no toilet, shower in room, no fridge or tea and coffee, no lamp, ect l, basically just a bed. No fan, so put on aircon which rattled like it was going to come of the wall and kept me awake all night. Mozzies in the room and pretty sure had bed bugs. I would not call this a hotel.
- Chiao Lin (8/5): Good country vibe hostel - Fair price and comes with a towel and clean shower room and toilet The room smells a bit humid
- alex (7/5): -
- Michelle (9/5): Best sleep and social fun on our trip so far. - How rustic it was, also the staff, awesome fun and welcoming
- William (1/5): Bad -
- Trev (8/5): Very good -
- Adams (10/5): Great staff , great food , service and good room - We didn't have breakfast but the evening meal was excellent Nothing I can think of
- Elzette (6/5): Great food. - Meals were great!! Decently priced and generous serves. Rooms were affordable. Rooms were nice and warm. Rooms needed updating. Furniture broken. There are no bedside tables or lamps. Bed base was well overdue to be replaced.
- Joy-anne (10/5): The food is amazing! - The staff were amazing and helpful. Great vibe and atmosphere. The locals are great and friendly too. Rooms are comfy and compact.
- Joy (9/5): Superb -
- Sasha (10/5): Exceptional - Meals were very 👍 good. Nothing comes to mind
- Jamie (3/5): Poor - Extremely noisy from 11pm onwards, couldn’t sleep.
Woken again at 4.30am from drunk people laughing outside my door with other backpackers
- Richard (7/5): Good -
- Callan (3/5): Poor - Good staff, good value for money, good location. Poor showers, toilets and rooms full of bugs.
- Byron (7/5): Good -
- Robyn (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly welcoming staff. Great food
- Anthony (6/5): Pleasant -
- Charly (7/5): Good -
- Mark (7/5): Good - It was a reasonably priced place to stay close to the Bruce Highway about half way between Brisbane and Cairns. Friendly staff and the food was really good. The rooms were basic, but only what could be expected at this price point.
- Silvana (5/5): May not stay there again - Off the road Double standard owner dig aloud to be in behind the bar and guest was told no dogs as we are not pet friendly
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tim (6/5): Pleasant - It was a economy place and was good value for money
. Very basic , rooms and furniture.
Shared bathroom and toilet.
- Nichola (7/5): Good -
- Ange (7/5): Good -
- Maclaine (2/5): Very poor -
- Pamenter (1/5): We did not stay in booked room as communal toilet was no better than roadside one , Not reccomended - nothing the amenities , no water or tea facilities in room
- Nick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rod (10/5): Can’t beat a country pub for hospitality. Be hard to find a better publicans. -
- Derek (5/5): Even at the budget price. It was probably overpriced. - Perfect for where I wanted accommodation. No bedside Table. The wardrobe only had 3 supporting legs. Kept falling over.
- Jacqueline (10/5): bike pit stop - clean pillows
- Glenn (8/5): Read the adds. it's basic, clean with a comfortable bed. You can catch a friendly beer and good feed - The food wasn't cheap but was great value. Good simple food and plenty of it well cooked. The pub was a happy place amongst locals - means a lot to feel comfortable in a pub Lots if you want to compare it to a five star hotel but for what you pay you get.....and this was an honest value for money place...did I miss friendly? It was very friendly
- Claudia (7/5): Good -
- Jon (6/5): Good spot for an overnight stop - Not far off the highway. Quiet location with plenty of off street parking. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Considering the price the following are to be expected. The showers although clean were run down. Only one toilet. Food was very expensive and very average.
- Catherine (10/5): Exceptional - Staff were super friendly and helpful. Great food and an awesome stopover if you're heading up towards FNQ.
- David (8/5): Very good - Convenient location for my trip.
- Bowtell (7/5): Good -
- Maree (8/5): Love it would stay again - Staff were friendly. Room were really clean . Clean shower and toilets. Great kitchen and amenities. Not enough blankets. It was a very cold night

- Ian (8/5): Very good -
- Greg (6/5): Pleasant -
- Suez312 (9/5): Superb -
- Paul (5/5): Just a cheap place to sleep on a road trip - . Car park was flooded in places
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Francis (7/5): It was memorable -
- Paul (10/5): Good value for the price of the room. - Beer was cold. Meals were great. Good value for the price of the room. Not being able to drink more cold beer.
- Giorgia (7/5): Good -
- Angela (7/5): Good - It's a bit tired but then, so are we after driving all day! It's a pub.. although, once the door was shut it was surprisingly quiet. Everything was super clean which is very much appreciated. We're a bit dubious about sharing showers and toilets with other patrons. Saying that, everything was super clean.
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean, & great staff
- Sandro (1/5): Bad -
- Kellie (10/5): Exceptional - Service was amazing food spectacular
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Glenn (1/5): Bad - Nothing No toilet or shower in the rooms, rooms stunk, aircon didn't work, carpark a muddy mess, complete and utter rip off, not even a chair to sit on, no kettle or water, absolutely pissed off at spending 129 bucks for the 30 minutes i was there. Left and stayed at the carmila motel 100m down the street.
After driving 12 hours and coming to this was not nice, hence why I left and no complete description on booking.com either.
- Hugh (7/5): Set friendly venue will stay again -
- Johnson (7/5): Most pleasant - Dinner in the bar was excellent
- Keith (4/5): Disappointing -
- Mahesh (1/5): Although I booked and paid for it, I didn't spend the night. - Thought it was cheap and was in the right area for me to stop for the night. The room smelled really bad and didn't seem it was clean. The AC unit seems to be falling apart held by duct tape. Didn't even look at the toilets and bathrooms. Very dimly lit, felt like a haunted house. There were no other guests. Although I booked and paid for it, didn't spend the night. Just left the keys on the bed and left since there was no one around.
- Errol (10/5): We love to visit with people especially when off the main highway to meet and hear! for relationship - We didn’t need breakfast but great to meet owners and Kylie their friend again before we left.
- Robyn (2/5): Disapointed - The meals were very nice. It's worth the money. The Bar Staff were friendly and chatty. The Manager/Owner who said that the rooms were spring cleaned the day before. Aircon filter filthy, move the beds and the floor filthy, stank of a musky smell. No globe in the lamp. Broken globe sitting with the dead flies on the window sill.
- Teena (10/5): Short sweet and felt very welcome very friendly - The owners were so helpful, booking .com made a huge error and booked us in when there was no rooms available but the owners shuffle a few people around and gave us a bed for the night when they didn’t have to . Shameful booking.com won’t be using you again Nothing is was fabulous
- Hannah (7/5): Good -
- Timtam31 (3/5): Keep moving if you can - Description did not reflect fact that the 'room' was actually a donga with nothing but a bed, broom cupboard & power point. Showers were absolutely horrid. We were told that the "kitchen was broken" when we arrived at 6pm so went without dinner. Would not recommend. Everything
- Alan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Graham (8/5): Very good - Staff, management and the locals are friendly. Had dinner and a few bevies which turned into a good night.
- G (5/5): Passable -
