• Hofman (9/5): Astoria bezorgd je een uitgeruste vakantie - Het bed! Mijn hemel wat zijn die bedden echt perfect goed gezocht. De locatie ligt aan de weg waar je eigenlijk weinig van merkt. Het personeel helpt je met bagage de trappen op ( er is geen lift) Het parkeren bij het hotel was erg fijn Het hotel bevind zich bovenop de klif dus je zult elke dag een pittige afdaling moeten doen van de een steile helling van 25 meter ( 10 min lopen naar de haven) Of de lange weg waar auto’s soms ook best doorrijden met snelheid en hier be je ongeveer 30 min voor onderweg . Het uitzicht is wel echt fantastisch en zeker de moeite waard om Astoria te boeken! Uitrusten? Dan zeker dit hotel qua comfort bed! Het zijn ook geen losse matrassen en bv losse dekbedden! Dat was ook echt top!!! De hottub was heerlijk🥰 Verblijf april 5/14 2026 Toch de gehorigheid. Klapperen van de deuren en helaas ook het ontbijt ( als je laat gaat staat er nog weinig en ook al word het bijgevuld de keuze is eenzijdig) Wat je vooral mist is bv een echt vers sapje en een goede koffie Het hotel heeft een zeer kleine lobby/lounge ontbijt gedeelte en ik snap hierdoor dat het ontbijt summier is. Wij zaten in kamer 203 en de kledingkast is heerlijk groot maar niet over nagedacht. De kast lades zijn niet te gebruiken door de deurdrangers Wat we bv miste was dan bv een kastje naast het bed.

• Aude (7/5): Séjour agréable les manques ont été compensés par l'amabilité du personnel. - Accueil chaleureux du personnel. Nous avons occupé une chambre au 4ème étage, pas facile de monter les bagages sans ascenseur ! Pas de bouteille d'eau minérale dans la chambre. Petit déjeuner correct jus de fruit frais aurait été apprécié.
• Susanne (8/5): ein schöner Aufenthalt zu einem günstigen Preis - Die Lages des Hotels am Ortseingang war gut, Parkplätze gab es vor dem Haus (in der Nebensaison ausreichend). Das Frühstücksbüffet war super, sehr guter frisch gemachter Kaffee und große Essensauswahl. Wir hatten sogar eine kleine Terrasse mit seitlichem Meerblick. Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und sprach sehr gut Deutsch bzw. Englisch. Die Betten waren sehr bequem. Am Strand waren wir nicht, weil es für uns Anfang April zu kühl war. Als Ausgangspunkt für Sightseeing war es für uns optimal. Die Dusche mit Duschvorhang ist für kräftigere Personen ziemlich unpraktisch.

• Johannes (7/5): Goede plek maar een volgende keer alleen als de doucheruimte verbeterd wordt - Het ontbijt is goed en gevarieerd. De douche is erg klein en met een gordijn dat het nog kleiner maakt. De douchekop hangt veel te hoog en kan niet lager gehangen worden.

• Sandra (9/5): Schöner Aufenthalt zum Ende der Saison! - Wir hatten die Deluxe Penthouse Suite mit Panoramablick und Whirlpool auf der Terrasse. Das Zimmer ist neu und hat einen kleinen Kühlschrank sowie Kapselkaffeemaschine. Die Dusche ist vom Rest des Badezimmers getrennt. Das Doppelbett ist sehr bequem. Der Whirlpool ist sehr schön und man hat einen Blick auf das Meer sowie die Berge. Auf der großen Terrasse gibt es außerdem zwei Liegen mit dicken Polsterauflagen, 2 Stühle, einen kleinen Tisch und eine Bank. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und das Personal freundlich. Die Notbeleuchtung im Zimmer über der Tür ist sehr hell und wir hätten damit nicht schlafen können. Diese kann man jedoch ausschalten, Schalter direkt an der Lampe sehr lange gedrückt halten oder einfach beim Personal nachfragen. Einen kleinen Verbesserungsvorschlag hätten wir noch. Handtuchhalter direkt neben der Dusche wären gut. Diese befinden sich bisher nur im Raum in dem das Waschbecken ist. Wir kommen bereits seit Jahren immer mal wieder nach Agia Galini und können das Hotel Astoria empfehlen.

• T (8/5): A great place to stay in Agia Galini - Wonderful Breakfast. Very helpful staff and the views from our balcony were great. Room was very nice and comfortable. We slept well. We were on the top floor. The property does not have an elevator so we had to carry everything up several flights of stairs.

• Bernard (7/5): L'accueil ''Fait tout'' - L'extrême gentillesse de la jeune réceptionniste qui fait son possible pour agrémenter notre séjour, compense de trop nombreux défauts de l'établissement... Excellent petit déjeuner très complet. Bien qu'ayant été rénové, cet hôtel ne possède pas d'ascenseur, trois volées d'escaliers pour atteindre sa chambre, ça use ! Mais le plus gros ''Hic'' est la salle de bain : MINUSCULE, avec un bac de douche ''Antique'' de 60cm pourvu d'un rideau qui vous colle au corps ! (Enfin un stationnement problématique, mais ceci tient au village et l'absence de parking public)

• Dominique (10/5): Notre coup de cœur crétois : L'Astoria Hotel face à la mer de Libye - Notre séjour à l'Astoria Hotel - Agia Galini Après plusieurs jours de route à sillonner les canyons crétois en moto, nous découvrons Agia Galini et son petit port de pêche. L'Astoria Hotel nous accueille dans ce décor de carte postale, et dès l'arrivée, le ton est donné : sourires chaleureux de l'équipe et cette facilité pour garer notre fidèle monture. Notre chambre nous réserve une belle surprise. En poussant la porte du balcon, nous voilà face à un panorama saisissant : la mer de Libye s'étend à l'infini tandis que les montagnes crétoises dessinent un horizon majestueux. Cette vue devient rapidement notre refuge quotidien, surtout en fin de journée quand la brise marine caresse naturellement la chambre. Les matins commencent en douceur avec ce petit-déjeuner généreux où nous avons vite adopté le rituel des tiramisus - une petite gourmandise qui accompagne parfaitement le café face à cette vue de rêve. Le soir, nous partons explorer les alentours et découvrons ces restaurants d'exception, notamment l'atelier d'Icare et Dédale. Quel symbole de se retrouver dans cette terre de mythes après nos escapades vers les gorges ! Chaque retour à l'hôtel ressemble à des retrouvailles avec un cocon douillet, moderne et authentique à la fois. Si nous devions vraiment chercher un bémol à ce séjour exceptionnel, ce serait uniquement l'éclairage de la sortie de secours. Mais honnêtement, face à tant de qualités, c'est vraiment un détail insignifiant qui n'a en rien altéré notre plaisir !

• Anne (7/5): We loved the staff who were so friendly and helpful and the breakfast and breakfast area and lobby were very open, brigh - The reception area is bright and airy and the location is good. The air conditioning g was noisy and directly into our beds.
• fabio (10/5): Ospitalità e confort - La posizione e il silenzio, nonostante la vicinanza alla strada. Il parcheggio privato e la possibilità di fare una super colazione a buffet. Ci è stato inoltre concesso un upgrade della camera, apprezzatissimo. Nella nostra junior suite (probabilmente ristrutturata di recente) c’era molto spazio, una doccia enorme, letto grande e comodissimo e un piccolo frigo che si è rivelato molto utile. Inoltre Anna è sempre stata gentilissima e disponibile ad ogni richiesta, davvero un esempio di accoglienza. Nulla. Solo un suggerimento: aggiungeremmo qualcosa sul balcone in modo da poter stendere costumi e teli da mare, e una piccola cassettiera nell’armadio (o anche fuori! La camera era molto ampia) per poter riporre maglie e indumenti intimi.

• Antonio (7/5): Good - Hotel was very well located, staff was super friendly and helpful, suggesting places for dinner and tours. Breakfast was great as well. Room was old but clean, though ground floor rooms have limited space for air circulation, especially after shower. Even though we liked our stay at the hotel, please note that the hotel is not like the first images suggest, which are renders (probably for a future or ongoing renovation). Equipment in general, especially in the bathroom, was fairly old. But it's still a good base to explore the area if you don't plan to spend your day at the hotel.

Buffet breakfast for offseason rich enough. Staff helped with advices for restaurants, sightseeing, even some advices what else we can see on our way to the next destination. Bathroom/shower was a bit outdated. Airconditioner didn't want to cooperate withva remote control.

Nice breakfast and staff took pride in explaining what was home cooked. Asked for a parking spot and they made a special effort to keep one free for us. I don’t like shower curtains, they stick to you as you shower.

Kate and her staff made us feel extremely welcome and helped us in every way. No need for a tourist guide, just ask Kate for excursion recommendations and you will have a great time!

• Tiina (9/5): Luxorious stay at Agia Galina. - We got to stay on the pent house suite, with our own private terazze. The view was amazing panorama from the mountains to the sea. Staff was so sweet, felt like they really care about their customers. Got good recommendations for restaurants and got also our loundry done really fast. They do not have their own pool, but it is only short walk from the beach.

• Ruben (10/5): Experience to be remembered in Astoria - The owner prepared a small surprise (cake and wine) because it was my birthday and this made the experience fantastic. I can only but recommend the hotel. The breakfast is fantástic and has several options.
• Srhl (8/5): Very good - The manager was super nice, the bed was really comfortable, the breakfast was complete, and the location is good, 5 min walk to the village. We had also a balcony which was handy for drying clothes. The bathroom is small as well as the shower. It also looks old.

• Rebecca (10/5): Hospitality galore with an amazing homemade over the top breakfast - Hospitality! Kate the manager was a smiling face ready to answer any question and lend a helping hand. We needed beach towels, directions, recommendations, early check out, and strangely gas for our car and there she was with a do not stress let me help you every time. I can’t say thank you enough for her genuine care. The shower was very tiny and the shower curtain would stick to me and invaded my personal space.

• Nicolas (10/5): Perfect stay in Agia Galini for 2 days - First and foremost, thank you for the wonderful stay at this hotel! Arrival: Great location (3-5 minutes walking distance to most taverns and the harbor, 15 minutes walk to the beach). Parking is available right in front of the hotel. However, there's also parking in the street. Very warm welcome from the owner who showed us around the hotel, explained everything and also provided recommendations for Agia Galini and its surrounding areas. Room: Perfectly adequate for two, terrace with an astonishing mountain view and a slight side view of the sea, large bed in the center. Everything was absolutely clean. Nice bathroom with a shower! A television is also provided, along with ample power sockets. Beds: Slept wonderfully! The owner is rightly very proud of her coconut mattress and topper! Breakfast: Delightful, everything one could desire! She also rotates the menu daily and prepares fresh Cretan delicacies. Eggs are freshly prepared. Selection of meats, cheese, yogurt, peanut butter, croissants, bread and cereal are more than good and sufficient! There's also fresh coffee, tea, water, and juices. All in all: Highly recommended!

• Naomi (10/5): Great value and great service. - The staff are so wonderful! And our room was spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was superb. I am sorry we only had one night here. Would definitely return! Nothing.
• Selina (8/5): Very good - great staff, especially the manager Kate was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great too. Also the location is perfect, since it is close to the harbour and not too far up the hill. The shower was very tiny and had a curtain. It was very clean though, so not a big issue. Also the air condition is rather loud during the night.
• Thomas (8/5): Just the job for a few nights budget accommodation - Comfortable 2* hotel short walk from centre. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Good value for money. Nice view of mountains from balcony. The bathroom whilst clean was a little dated and shower small, but it is a 2* after all.
• Devora (9/5): Wonderful accommodation in lovely Agia Galini - The nicest hosts who try hard to do a good job and are totally successful. Our room was large, cool (the AC) and well-equipped. Shower was great. Bed was comfortable. No elevator, but our bags were kindly brought up to our room. Breakfast buffet was large and varied. Definitely recommend. Nothing to dislike.

• Maarja (9/5): Quiet and comfortable stay in Agia Galini - Nice, simple and quiet hotel with spacious rooms, good breakfast and free parking. The city center with restaurant, shops and the beach are just few steps away (NB! be ready to have some nice climbing to get back to the hotel! :))
