Guest Reviews
- Angela (10/5): - View Loved it all
- Anastasia (9/5): -
- Phillip (4/5): Struggling to meet adequacy at the price point. - The bed was very comfortable and the availability of condiments in the kitchen was good. The view over the river was pleasant. It had a good book swapping service.
The proximity to Suncorp was adequate. The AC was inadequate in the rooms, the bedroom struggled to maintain a comfortable temperature and the large cooling/heat unit in the main room did not function at all. The spa bath while technically was a spa bath did not meet any sense of expectation of what a spa bath should be at the price point the apartment was at. An old shower over bath which happens to have spa jets is not a luxury item. The building and room foyer smelled mildew and unpleasant. Finally the price did not reflect the quality of the facility
- Cindy (10/5): Would absolutely stay again - Great communication. Great and clear direction on key collection, parking etc. Was only a 15 minute walk to Queen street. Great location and very comfortable room with a good view. Only a minor mishap with no blanket for the sofa bed but this was easily solved. Was quickly solved. Thankyou for an awesome stay
- Cheryl (9/5): Great location with views - Lovely location with great views. Great value for money. Understanding the key collection process. All good, I now am fully aware.🙂
- Valda (9/5): - Close to everything and free parking
- Sarah (10/5): AMAZING VIEWS - The views were amazing. Central to everywhere. A bit of construction happening next door, but was easy enough to shut the bathroom door and that cut the noise by at least 80%.
- Kapil (9/5): Excellent views and privacy - Size and price Walk from nightlife
- Danielle (8/5): - Kate and Daniel were the perfect hosts. Fantastic communication and directions leading up to our two night stay. Cute apartment with fantastic river views. The window bar seating is a wonderful touch. Courtesy bubbles on arrival were enjoyed looking out towards Southbank and the city skyline. Magic. Bed was super comfy too!
- Deleece (7/5): - The apartment was spacious, had great views and the location worked well for my purposes. I need a tax invoice for my stay. I have asked for one several times, beginning the night before I checked out. I still don't have it more than two weeks later. I would not have stayed here if I had known this was going to be a problem.
- Tony (10/5): wonderful I would re book - No breakfast provided Receptionist was a bit cold re helping sorting the parking problems as we didnt book through hotel but Air BNB
- michael (8/5): It was nice - Close to everything Easy
- Julie (7/5): -
- elaine (10/5): Absolutely fantastic apartment with amazing views of the river. Central location for everything and the apartment is so - Fantastic location for our purpose in Brisbane views absolutely stunning if you need somewhere close to Suncorp stadium whilst also great access to river and the CBD this is your place
- Luke (8/5): Great place to be near the City - The view was amazing. Close proximity to the city. Wine on arrival was a nice touch. The bed could use an upgrade, but for a short stay was fine.
- Adrian (9/5): Lovely - Central clean and tidy No access to gym in building
- Forest (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lesley (9/5): Comfortable unit in a handy location with a terrific view - This is neat little apartment with great views over the Brisbane river. It is very close to Roma St train station and Roma Street Parklands. It is very easy to access the walkways along the river and a short walk to the city All good
- Courtney (8/5): Very good -
- Denise (8/5): Perfect for short stay. - Amazing views. Though the building is dated Kate and Daniel have set up their apartment well. Spacious. Close enough to everything. Photos accurate. If arriving by uber at night, be sure to note May Street address. Also, laundry is in the basement.
- Widyanto (9/5): Enjoyable and potentially will stay there again if we come to Brisbane with family. - Good view from the room. Spacious rooms for 3 people. High speed of free wifi. Plenty of electrical plugs. sufficient utensil and even come with free tea/coffee and few snack inside the refrigerator. A bit confusing to find the place as we though it's a separate building from the Park Regis Hotel, and the reception of the hotel does not know about the property when we asked about it. Would be better to let the Park Regis hotel reception know the name "Brisbane Riverside Retreat" so they can give direction in case being asked.
- Gavsmrs (10/5): A great city stay - Amazing views over the river. Close walk to the city and City cat ferry. Neat and tidy apartment with all amenities.Would stay again. Great correspondence throughout our stay. NA
- Cong (8/5): Get a chance to learn more about Brisbane city simple and gentle, apartment with beautiful city view - The living room and bedroom are all bright with glass, beautiful scenery like a painting overlooking the bridges over the Brisbane River; the breakfast and coffee seats in the living room are very nice (all pictures on the booking page are real); the host is friendly, thoughtful and very attentive to customers, the kitchen is fully prepared with spices; feels like home. Highly appreciate the friendliness and thoughtfulness of the host. The accommodation was not convenient for public transport (although the host was very thoughtful and left a public transport card with quite a bit of money, but we did not used) so we usually walk or take a taxi to get around the city of Brisbane.
- Ludo (8/5): Very good - The views were amazing! The hosts were very nice, quick and easy communication, check in and check out was straight forward. The apartment is a bit dated
- Ya (4/5): Disappointing - Construction started upstairs at 6 a.m. on the first day. It was so loud that I thought the ceiling was going to collapse and I couldn't have a good rest.
The cleaning staff started knocking on my door at 8:30 the next morning. I checked out at 10, not 8:30, which made me very unhappy.
Moreover, the bath towels were not clean and there were many dust mites on the sofa.
This stay experience was very bad
- Samuel (10/5): Excellent place and location -
- Nati (10/5): Beautiful spot in a beautiful city - The location and views were spectacular.
It was a lovely comfortable space for my daughter and I.
There were a lot of thoughtful touches like public transport cards and books to read. The key return at 5 am didn't feel safe. There was a man loitering outside by the letterboxes who asked to be let inside the hotel. I was alone with my daughter and got glared at when I said no. Possibly, having a way to return the keys in the car park somewhere would be safer for these situations.
The car parks were tiny, and there was no one to contact when another car had trapped us in a spot.
Luckily, with a lot of manoeuvring, we were able to get out and not miss our early morning flight
- Jennifer (9/5): Very enjoyable - The views were Fabulous and the location was very central Front Reception staff not very friendly on arrival. I asked them where we could find room 65 (our room that we had booked) and they looked at each other, rolled their eyes and sarcastically said ‘that would be the sixth floor’
Really unnecessary and me feel small
- Nicgt (9/5): Superb - Views were amazing
- Kim (10/5): Exceptional - Location was perfect for walking to Suncorp, Queen Street Mall and across to South Bank.
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Lynne (10/5): Fabulous location, views for kilometres. - Fabulous apartment, light filled with stunning river and city views. Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, lovely personal touches left for guests. Owners always contactable and helpful. Highly recommend. Nothing
- Stephanie (10/5): It was great value and central - Great views, clean and spacious
- Clare (4/5): Privately run so lacking in the extras - The bed was super comfortable Communication with the host was poor. Only when the host wanted to contact me directly it became easier.
I sent messages that were not answered until the host required a response from me.
The bathroom was very dated and even had a non functional spa bath which made the thought of using it as a bath very uninviting
We did not have access to the pool, gym, laundry or luggage room.
- Huiji (10/5): Enjoy a comfortable and wonderful time here! - This hotel has a great location, the front desk staff is friendly, the accommodation is very good, there is a large balcony, standing on the balcony, you can overlook the scenery of the Gold Coast, it is very beautiful! We are planning to come to this hotel again, and we are willing to recommend it to friends!
- Jodie (9/5): Amazing - Amazing view
Comfortable bedding
Close to Suncorp stadium
Excellent communication from owners
Will be staying here again
- Kirrily (8/5): Amazing view, lovely apartment, friendly hosts. - The view was as amazing as the pictures suggest, and the apartment was really well laid out to make the most of it. It felt very spacious and comfortable. The hosts were wonderfully communicative and helpful, and check in/check out were very easy.
- Mark (6/5): Pleasant -
- Andy (10/5): Amazing!!! - Great communication from the hosts, beautiful clean apartment, amazing views.
Close to ferrys, train station, 5 min walk to Brissie mall. Everything was great- no complaints
- Tracy (7/5): Good - The bed and the view The Park Regis staff were so rude when we arrived. Ok admittedly with traveling I hadn't read my email right but they were not helpful at all. Had to call the owner/manager.
Was only one room, family of 4, 3 adults one child. Thought it was 2 bedroom. It worked ok as child fitted on side couch of pull out bed.
Shower wasn't usable as shower head was broken. Had to fill the bath and refresh the water each person. Have contacted the manger/owner.
The wine and the Tim Tam's were a nice compliment but not enough to give 5 star, Sorry
- Yan (9/5): Superb - The host is very welcoming and easy to check in, also a late check out. The view is amazing. It’s a bit old bathroom but worth money
- Megan (10/5): Exceptional - Easy location
Easy check in
Owners were great to deal with!
- Guy (8/5): Very good -
- Nivin (6/5): Riverside stay - View was beautiful but you can only see it standing up not while sitting Advertised internet, and there was no internet. Toilet seat broken 💔 . Sofa bed wasn't comfy , kids couldn't sleep properly
- Maxine (4/5): Disorganised, out of order facilities and dirty - The location Prior to booking or to arrival, we were not told that the pool was under maintenance and that the wifi was unusable. We received no check in message leading up to and I had to reach out to get check in information myself. The cleanliness of the unit was below standard with dust on multiple major surfaces that you think would be cleaned regularly.
- Alison (8/5): Very good - Once the windows were all shut, the noise of the city was more like a mild swish. Air conditioning was needed and adequate. The charging point next to the bed was great, as were the other numerous power outlets. On a couple of occasions we couldn’t use items because they’d been switched off and there were no instructions about turning them back on. However once contacted, the owners told us how to use them. Parking was only available on two of the three nights, so we had to use the nearby parking station for the final night. However we we were warned about that.
- Pam (7/5): Good - I liked the location and secure parking and the view.
- Afs (10/5): Exceptional - Looks exactly like the photos. Lovely place to stay and sooo comfortable. The bed with all the pillows & blankets was a dream.
We really liked that there was so much provided. Especially in the kitchen, there was olive oil, herbs, spices, pots & pans... Amazing views and close proximity to airport train, bus, supermarkets, shopping Everything was great, nothing to dislike. Laundry is shared downstairs. It' 3$ washing and 3$ drying.
- Pryde (6/5): Beds were comfy and air con / wifi worked well. - Close to the city and able to walk to it easily. The shower/bath was not clean - had gunk all around the jets of the tub. The bathroom sink cupboard underneath - looks like the door is going to fall off at some stage. Big ball of tangled hair was sitting on the floor when we arrived sitting down near the bath.
One of the windows in the main lounge had big huge smear marks all over it - like a little kid had jumped on the couch and put there grubby hands all over it. We had to wipe this down ourselves.
- Sarah (8/5): Was a great location for us to attend the Suncorp stadium for the main reason we were there. - Beautiful views
Comfortable bed Small towels
- Malcolm (6/5): Could be better, cleaner, needs supervision and attention to customers needs - Great view, comfy bed, great area. Plenty of equipment in room. Difficult entry system, tight car park, bad odour in entry floor to room, drain in kitchen had bad odour, cups not washed properly, bath and non slip mat need good scrub, bathroom had pubic hair on the floor, no flannels supplied, poor quality toilet paper and only half a roll, could not open safe.
- Rhiannon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jonathan (10/5): Great location, great views, lots of space and very nicely furnished. - Wonderful views, spacious, extremely cosy and comfortable furnishings. Easy walk to coffee, restaurants, supermarket, Rosa Park etc. Close to public transport. Nice to have a proper kitchen with everything we needed. It was a little confusing figuring out how to get the keys. The e-mail with instructions was super clear but it was sent as we were already travelling so needed to enable roaming to find it. If this had been sent as a heads-up at booking time it would have been zero issue.
- Hasi (10/5): Relaxing stay and amazing view of Brisbane river. Kitchen was well equipped. Really wort the money - Amazing view. Host was very generous to leave to Go cards which helped us to just top up and ride in the city cat. I love the little window nook perfect place to relax and enjoy a cuppa.
- Karren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (2/5): This is Airbnb - This is a poorly run AirBnB This is Airbnb
- Ian (9/5): Great, comfortable stay with an outstanding view. - Location was fantastic, the view outstanding. The hosts were so thoughtful and made our stay easy and nothing was too much trouble. We loved that the unit felt like a home rather than a holiday unit as the extras made it really comfortable.
- Ronald (8/5): Great directions and easy secure access even though we arrived at 1.30am - Price, location and free easy parking Nothing
- David (10/5): Great thanks to the accommodation, after a busy day it was like a home away from home - Great apartment would definitely book again on my next visist
