• Frank (10/5): Outstanding. - Because I was under pressure to catch a bus, Gary cooked me a super breakfast ( free) and then drove me to the bus. I was so grateful for his kindness and great food! Bed was really comfy. Local information was supplied re restaurants and walks. Great stay. Having to leave!

• Jonah (9/5): - Very pleasant hosts! They offered lots of great suggestions for places to visit both locally and throughout the rest of Ireland. They also provided a secure spot to store my bike overnight which was great!
• Niall (9/5): - Very friendly hosts with lots of local tips who were so keen to ensure I slept well that they put a hot-water bottle in the bed. My upstairs room had a view across green farmland to the sea. I couldn't get hot water in the bathroom basin but maybe I should have run it for longer (from Greece, I don't like wasting water - something Ireland is not so short of!)

• Christopher (9/5): Great location! - Everything I needed for a rest. I got 12 uninterrupted hours of sleep after a busy first few days in Ireland. Cold (Travelled in October), no heat in the guest room. The hosts share the house with you so I was concerned about bothering them.

The host was incredibly kind and welcoming. Right after my arrival, he gave me great tips on what to visit nearby and even prepared a leaflet with local attractions. He knows the area very well and was happy to help with anything I asked. The room was cozy, and the small bathroom was completely sufficient. It was easy to arrange both check-in and check-out times, and the communication was smooth and very friendly. I truly felt like staying at my grandparents’ house – warm, homely, and full of care. 🥰 Thank you for everything Gary, I really enjoy my stay here. There’s absolutely nothing I could complain about.

• Paolo Biker (10/5): Una bellissima camera dove rilassarsi ! - Sono stato ricevuto dalla signora molto accogliente e gentile anche se il mio inglese non era buono.Ho parcheggiato la moto dentro la proprietà.Camera bella ,pulita,e un bagno vicino in comune tutto tenuto bene. Una pace e un silenzio per tutta la notte e al mio risveglio il mare dalla finestra che spettacolo!

• Anne (3/5): A very unpleasant host. Would avoid this B&B especially if a female traveller. - N/A Extremely unwelcoming and unhelpful. Answered the door half dressed. I had corresponded with the host saying that we might need to swap and add guests to which he had agreed. He had not explained that the name on the booking would have to be changed and insisted the guest left the house and then locked the door while we worked out how to do this. No key available for the week as the door was left unlocked. Other guests noisy and we checked out a day early. When I complained by message Gary sent a very hostile response and made unpleasant comments related to people with 'special needs.'
• Ó Fearghail (8/5): Atlantic View-well worth a visit - This was a most enjoyable stay. Our host,Gary,was very friendly and knowledgeable,gave us great tips for restaurants, where to go etc. Lovely,comfortable rooms. Would definitely strongly recommend. We liked everything about this place.

• Shlomit (8/5): Depends - From the few minutes I stayed, I could see that the view from the window was gorgeous. Rated 8 because felt bad lowering the rating. If you are not easily scared, it may be worth booking here, because it's cheap and a beautiful area and from recent reviews, it seems you have a fair chance to get there on a good day. I was just one of the unlucky ones so had to leave. Waiting with interest to see what creative dark tale gets told about me in the comment.

• Marcel (8/5): Cozy accommodation with great hosts - The host made me feel very comfortable, and even like I am at home. The room was cozy and the bed made me sleep great. Great view from the window. Around 20 minutes to the town centre, around 5 minutes by bike. WiFi would be nice to have! :)

• Yi Chin (1/5): Horrible - On a pas pu apprécier l’établissement car la propriétaire nous a gâché notre séjour ! Nous avons été traités comme des voleurs ! La propriétaire nous a même envoyé la police car elle disait qu’on avait un ado dans la chambre , qu’il faisait des allers retours … alors que nous étions 4 et le plus jeune avait 50 ans ! La police c’est excusée et n’avait pas l’air étonné d’être appelé dans ce bed and breakfast pour rien . Bref nous nous sommes pas senti à l’aise . D’ailleurs tout ça c’est fait sans jamais nous consulter … bref la pire expérience booking sur des centaines !

• Andreas (1/5): klar überteuerter wohnalbtraum! - danke für die hilfe beim mietwagenproblem! lage für das erkunden des ring of kerry ist gut. schöner blick! man wohnt mit in dem haus der vermieter, was sich aus den angaben von booking.com nicht erschließt. auch ansonsten: es war gruselig! - schmuddelig, schimmelig (es roch unfassbar eklig!) ungepflegt, uncharmant - das sog. GEMEINschaftsbad (hatten wir übersehen; unser fehler) ist ein wc mit einer relativ ollen dusche und einer reinigungsmittelgalerie samt allgegenwärtigem pömpel, - keine möglichkeit, dass zimmer abzuschließen!!! zu allem überfluss gehen die türen nicht richtig zu; es klappert, - keine verdunkelung, somit auch kein hitzeschutz, - kein schrank, kein spiegel, kein wasserkocher, kein müllbehältnis, kein komfort - wo ist die tolle terrasse und der zugang zum privatstrand? - wir waren unglaublich entsetzt und enttäuscht! - keine/kaum möglichkeit, mahlzeiten vor ort einzunehmen… - die reihe von no-gos ließe sich ohne schwierigkeiten fortsetzen

• Wolfgang (8/5): - Der Hausbesitzer war sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und mit vielen Informationen über Kerry und Essensempfehlungen ausgestattet. Die Gegend, so wie die Kleinstadt sind sehr schön.
• Anja (10/5): - Sehr netter Gastgeber. Es gab nette Gespräche und sehr viele gute Tipps für Aktivitäten und Restaurants. Gary hat mich mehrfach in den Ort oder auch zum Hafen gefahren und morgens gab es einen netten Plausch mit Kaffee! Sehr empfehlenswert!!!

A strange foldout board instead of curtains was a bit odd but not a problem for me as the window faces west so I slept well. Shower head bracket was at a crazy angle so I held it instead. Still great value for money despite these quirks!

• Susanna (8/5): FINALMENTE UN B&B CON PREZZI ANCORA RAGIONEVOLI - Non sono una persona con grandi pretese e quando vado in Irlanda punto sempre e solo a scoprire cose nuove sull’isola e ascoltare racconti. Quindi la possibilità di poter chiacchierare (e cantare) con i proprietari è stato il vero valore aggiunto. Mi hanno anche prestato l’adattatore per poter usare la mia piastra per capelli :-) Molto utili le informazioni e suggerimenti ricevute prima dell’arrivo, per poter visitare la zona e mangiare nelle vicinanze. Ottimo per pernottare prima o dopo la visita a Skellig Michael, senza dover spendere una fortuna! Non son sicura (talmente ero stanca che non ho controllato), ma penso non ci fosse una tenda o una tapparella in camera, utile per il sole che filtra la mattina. Suggerisco l’uso di un ammorbidente profumato per gli asciugamani. Con un maggior riguardo per gli spazi e il giardino, il B&B potrebbe avere un grande potenziale.

I couldn't have wished for nicer hosts who were helpful & offered plenty of recommendations yet let me settle & rest for the night which was exactly what I needed. • Luc-Andre (10/5): Welcoming and warm and worth it. - Great host, great price, one of the top most welcoming environments and homes I’ve stayed at. If you’re visiting Skellig Michael getting a cab is expensive, however there are no other downsides to staying here for this trip.
• Marc (9/5): - Deux Jolies chambres chez l'habitant dans une grande maison face à un estuaire de l'océan. L'hôte est très chaleureux comme souvent les Irlandais le sont. Parking à la maison. Bon relais d'un soir pour découvrir la très belle région. Bourgade à 5 min de voiture pour le petit déjeuner. De bons restaurants à 15 min également. La douche est à réviser. Prix un peu élevé au mois d'aout.

Die Ruhe dort hat mich sehr gut schlafen lassen. Alles ist sehr sauber und angenehm gestaltet. Gary ist ein sehr warmherziger Gastgeber und hat sich viel Zeit genommen mich willkommen zu heißen und wirklich ausgesucht gute Tipps für Unternehmungen gegeben, die sich als sehr wertvoll erwiesen haben. Vielen Dank dafür - Meine persönliche Empfehlung. Es gibt keine Beanstandungen. Meine Erwartungen an eine einfache, ruhige Unterkunft wurden weit übertroffen. Vielen Dank.
