Guest Reviews
- Jenni (5/5): Kitchen disgusting, unusable. Boiler not working. - Living room, bathroom and bedrooms all perfectly serviceble, basically renovated and generally clean and comfortable. Would be a great place.to stay if it wasn't for the bad bits massively letting it down. Kitchen filthy. Arrived at 7pm on Xmas eve with food ready to cook for tea, and none of the pans were usable - all scratched and burnt on food which would not be cleaned off. They need to be replaced. This meant that we could not cook any of the food which we brought with us as the Xmas bank holidays meant no shops were open to buy some.
All other crockery, cutlery and glassware were also dirty but at least these could be cleaned.
Garden disgusting, covered in litter, also unusable.
Boiler not working on arrival showing an error code. The house was freezing with no hot water. Eventually we managed to get it working thank god, but that's not how we planned to spend the first hour or so after we had done a 6.5 hour drive to get there.
- Kerry (9/5): Lovely little house - The house and the garden was presented very well.
Like home from home.
We was left a little welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar and chocolate biscuits.
The house was spacious and very modern.
When we arrived the shower was broken and the hot water wasnt working very well and the double bed was horrendously hard and uncomfortable so I contacted the number given on the booking. A lady named Pauline and her husband was around within 2 hours armed with a brand new mattress topper amd throw overs for the beds my friends stayed in the 2 single beds and said their beds was comfy. The plumber was sent straight away and was there within the same time frame. Was very quick and efficient. We was able to have a decent night's sleep after the memory foam topper was bought and a decent wash when the hot water was running well.
Pauline and her partner are just our kind of people. Heart of gold, friendly and down to earth. We did offer them to stay with us for a while lol. No problem was too big or small for them and they made the stay more welcoming. So thank you Pauline and partner. There wasn't really anything we didn't like.
